  • It just occurred to me--

Why didn't she say, in the last line of the chorus,

"Strut-pout-cut it out! All takin' and no givin'

"Watch me baby while I strut [instead of 'walk'] out your door"?

    Hurm!

    <3.

  • I was and is still in love with her! Awesome voice!

  • Excelent video! I was 15 years when I watched it!!! great memories come in to my mind!!!!

  • was that my imagination or was that John Oats on guitar?

  • @zestydude87 I keep thinking the same

  • I remember she used to play Sonny Crocketts love interest on Miami Vice for a while. Ahhh the 80s...

  • Oh my God!Tell her I'm single and still love her.lol!I'm 31 she must be what...52.lol!

  • Great song! Where is she??

  • does anyone know what dis she try to tell with" strut, pout, pout it out"

  • Sheena ruled the early 80s, when real singers were in the charts. Laura Branigan, Irene Cara, Melissa Manchester. Music went downhill after 1985, when artistes like Madonna, Janet and a whole host of people who could dance better than sing hit the charts, helped no end by MTV (a visual rather than aural medium).

  • the beginning of the image change..it was successful..sugar walls..lover in me.. U got the look..she had it right!

  • Anyone wanting to know the definition of "smouldering sexuality" simply watch this video. Sheena's playful performance puts all of today's "booty shakings" to shame.

  • God I had that haircut. I hated it!

  • Hands down she ruled all females in the 1980's

  • @gofukursef nope. in the 80's Sheena didn't rule the females because the 80's had Whitney Houston, Madonna, Cindy Lauper, and Janet Jackson. But, in the middle of all that talent, Sheena left her mark. Sheena even had a number one hit with Luis Miguel called Me gusta tal como eres. Sheena is only one of 4 singers that Luis Miguel did duets with. 2 of the four Luis Miguel did duets with were Frank Sinatra and Laura Branigan. Luis almost made a duet with his ex Mariah Carey

  • Those EYES, still get me.

    Soooo sexy.

  • 80's hair

  • Wow, haven't heard this in years. It used to be played at all our basketball games in school. Had some wild times during the 80's.

  • Oh I miss the 80's. Those were the best years of my life.

  • Rick james had teena marie and prince had sheena easton!!

  • is it just me or does she pull the sexiest facial expressions? lol

  • @greenhornet123 you're either a female or a homosexual if you don't find her facial expressions sexy.

  • @bibbidibobbidiboosta Nope wrong on all accounts, your just a virgin that's all perv

  • Comment removed

  • @bibbidibobbidiboosta Yeah, she's a sexy ass vixen that can enchant any man or woman with those smoldering looks and sexuality! Not every woman can do that to both sexes...

  • Her eyes.....the eyes of a tigress............beautiful and awesome.

  • This song is killer! I love it!

  • THIS WOMAN IS PURE SEX.SIMPLE AS THAT

  • Was that Bruce Hornesby on keyboard?

  • @msshawnnice yes it is! He also played w/ The Grateful Dead.

  • I was 24 when I saw her in Dallas in 1984....we were coming down off disco, well some lingered, but everyone had srarted dressing this way, omg i have a portrait of me with the freaking headband. I still love country music and classic rock and 70's best,, but there was some really great songs..Actually she was opening for Huey Lewis and the News, who remembers that??? lmao lord the times were good, and very very fast!!

  • I remember seeing Sheena in concert at the Vegas Hilton, I think it was 2002 or 2003... DAYyum she had a nice sexy fatt arse, she filled in that dress nicely

  • Hot tamale!

  • I love her songs as I did 30 years ago, same place Buenos aires, many greetings from Argentina!

  • Whoever produced/directed this video was an idiot. When a man watches Sheena Easton,he doesn't want the camera to go to the band. We could care less what the Guitar players, horn players or drummer looks like. Just aim the camera at Sheena and leave it there!

  • This is a fun, upbeat song that really took me when I first heard about it. Sheena's voice is quite stunning, and the band she was with was quite creative with the beats. Sheena definitely helped make the 80's music more fun to listen to.

I was also surprised to find out she would be on Miami Vice. When I did, I was expecting her to only be on for like 5 minutes.

  • as much as I wasn't really into mainstream "pop" back in those days, we played this song a lot for audio testing... this and stuff off of the brothers in arms album. some really good extreme range hard hitting and crisp percussion and brass to put things to the test. you could do some serious damage to equ playing this song at higher power levels. stumbling across this surprised me, I guess this song kind of grew on me back then and I didn't even realize it. Haven't heard it in prob 20 years.

  • Mullets galore!

  • bubble gum shit? what the fuck are you talking about? benetar does NOT have a 4 FOUR octave voice, Sheena does.

  • TRIVIA TIME:...2:27 is Bruce Hornsby

  • The 80's did have the best music. Fun and stress free. The early 90's wasn't too bad. Sheena had a pretty face and sexy waistline.

  • My favorite song of hers. She got the moves, the beauty, the voice, the strut, u name it. :-)

  • she looks sooo much better than lady caca and rihanna ! her wardrobe and sex appeal are so hot thumbs up if you agree

  • I was 18 when this came out in '84. It was my favorite song and Sheena was my favorite singer. I thought she was gorgeous and I loved the song! I especially loved the instrumental part. Nothing has changed. I still love the song, especially the instrumental part, and I still think she was hot!!

  • LOL Prince turned Sheena OUT! lol

  • Sheena is one of the greatest voices of our time, shame she´s so underrated. Back in 1982 she was amongst the 5 greatest voices (by Rolling Stones, Billboard...) with Barbra Streisand, Janis Joplin, Sarah Vaughan and Martha Davis (from The Motels)

  • @innamorata40 fuck pat benatar! Sheena is so much better!

  • @andromalius2002 - Benatar's voice is far supreme than shis bubble gum shit!!!!

  • I'm 286 and I approve this song.

  • imma 132 years old and ive never heard this song before in my life. thumbs up if ur with me!!!

  • @Bammit - HOLY CRAP - YOU'RE RIGHT!!

  • Such memories

  • 2 things- Love Sheena's eye of the tiger look and love the instrumental piece before the final chorus.

  • Scotlands greatest export except for Haggis of course.

  • @panzerstrom Scotch?

  • @daviddrakehunter A traditional Scottish dish from a sheeps heart lung and liver along with the usual spices and oatmeal cooked in a sheeps intestine for about 3 hours and should be washed down with a good glass of scotch.

  • @panzerstrom and except rod stewart

  • I remember my mom having this 45. I used to play it when she went to work;)

  • im 39 and i remember havin a crush on Sheena. 80s were great music and fun memories.

  • @jcannonie Sir

I am just a little older but I know what you mean. Her song "My Sugar Walls" was the teen male song. Peace

  • @jcannonie She's single and .lives in Las Vegas, NV

  • How fun were the 80's??!!!!!!!!

  • Ohhh My god!! I am 34 & remember this song soo well!! Love it

  • We saw her in 1984 at DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids, MI. Very cool...

  • That is Sooo true....The 80's were the BEST.-smile-

  • I loved this song when I was a teen.

  • Had a BIG crush on my Sheena back in the day.

Those eyes just melted my teen boy heart.

  • The first time I saw this song I was about half drunk at a bar in Georgetown outside of DC. I saw it on a 6 ft projection screen. I've been a fan ever since! hahaha. She's got an awesome voice!

  • 60's, 70's, and 80's.......I used to wish I had grown up in the 60's, but now I'm glad I grew up in the 80's.

  • The 80's where AMAZING! - man, I feel soooooooo sorry for kids today.

  • Great song, great vocalist! As far as looks go, the '80s hair is kind of icky, but she was beautiful and the outfit rocks.

  • Sheena Easton was so underrated in the 80's! She's a really good singer..and it doesn't hurt that she's drop dead gorgeous! And even in her 50's, she still drop dead gorgeous!

  • she was so dam cute when she start the video ''the morning train'', look at her she so dam hot, You got the look sheena

  • I wonder if she sang this on the Morning Train?

  • @ChristewieTV Of course she did it came naturally to her LOL

  • Tou got that right nothing like it and not only the music it was the way of life was so much better despite the few eminities we have now but back then you needed nothing but a bike a sexy magnavox radio life was great even the prices (lol)

  • depends on how old you were...lmao...my 20's

  • By far, her sexiest song and music video.

  • @slick1ru2 Sexy for sure but imho, "The Lover In Me" is even sexier.

  • @slick1ru2 Sheena Easton's SEXIEST VIDEO-->The Lover In Me<--

  • Great stuff! Loved it.

  • THE 80"S, in cal., and las vegas. what i saw and did, like to go back! do it again!

  • @rodeoclown58 Ditto. Except I was in FLA.

  • Actually love Sheena Easton's voice in All Dogs but.. that 80 style I don't like!

  • the 80 was the best music.

  • Indeed, the 80s were the best time for young people. What a decade! What fun we had !!! Incomparable and irreplaceable !!!

  • She looks like the lead singer of buckcherry

  • What Girl did'nt want to be her??:) and what Boy did'nt???:) Yummmm!!

  • @radr4lf12

    I didn't.

I liked the music but didn't want to be her, Madonna, Pat Benatar or Deborah Harry.

Though i did look up to Shannon and the Pointer Sisters.

  • What a package to get stuck in an elevator with.....mmmmmmmmmm

  • This was written by Charlie Dore, who had a hit in the late 70s with "Pilot of the Airways"

  • I'm pretty sure Lady Gaga's fans had them all taken out and shot ;)

  • I guess the lady in the song walked out the door after maybe 9 1/2 weeks or so. . . . Actually the fantastic strut this music celebrates ain't easy to do. It's a relatively more modern variation of the oh-so-lost bump and grind. Some women can do it, not many--and watching their walk is more hypnotic than watching most dance moves. It really is a dance. I love the beat.

  • I sang the shit out of this song growing up..lol

  • Sheener has a purty hiney.

  • @nctopgun a purty mouth too lol!

  • Still love that song! Great beat to it and Sheena was sooooooo cute! :)

  • the 80 s where the best time ever nothing will ever compare to it

  • @purecowboy01 the 70's were better

  • @purecowboy01 Amen to that !

  • @purecowboy01 id i love 81 82 83 84 85 86 87 88 and 89 too lol

  • Hey! That was Bruce Hornsby on the keyboard/sequencer.

  • I remember roller skating to this song!! :o)

  • dat Sheena Easton swag? she is ruling!

  • Sheena didn't need autotune.. Neither did the 80's.

  • bruce hornsby on keyboards:)

  • Sheena my bad this android. Lol.

  • Shela. And the reverlution lol haha

  • That was one sexy MULLETT!!!

  • sexy!

  • I dont even think there are women this beautiful nowadays in the music business. Im a woman, and cant take my eyes off her legs! LOL

  • Is that the sax player from Huey Lewis and the News??He sure looks like him....

  • @puzzlemeus don't forget bruce hornsby on key boards

  • I agree with this previous comment. "Things go in cycles, I can see a form of this coming back, as we enter a depression people are going to want glamor and real entertainment again." That's why I'm listening to the retro music. To lift my spirits. The company I work for hasn't given any type of raise for 4 years...they keep saying times are tough...yes, they are tough for the worker! American Corporations aren't paying their workers what they deserve and outsourcing to other countries.

  • The R&B Martina McBride.

  • "Strut is from Easton's album entitled "A Private Heaven" which reached #25 on the U.S. R&B Album chart. In the early/mid 80s there was a lot of funk-ish music that crossed from the US or UK Pop charts/categories to the R&B chart. AND vice-versa. David Bowie's "Lets Dance" got to # 14 on the US R&B chart in '83. U.S. R&B diva Melba Moore' "Love's Comin At Ya" got to #15 on the UK pop chart in '82. A few more examples, US R&B Chart: "Shock the Monkey", "Out of Touch."

  • You may find that it is worth the time to take a look and listen at the song lists that have been posted to Itunes Ping that meld together rhythmically & stylistically compatible early/mid 80s R&B/funk songs and early/mid 80s synth pop/new wave songs. Lots of music that was either forgotten or not ever learned of but was very enjoyable or would be very enjoyable if it was rediscovered or discovered for the 1st time by people that enjoy this type of music. People like you?

  • I have researched these music categories for the past 9 years

and I have rediscovered tunes I had forgotten about or I discovered

new tunes that totally deserved the time it took to discover them.

In Itunes Store or Itunes Ping if you use the search terms "electrofunk" (as a single word) or "80s funk" the search result shall produce several lists that have "electrofunk" or "80s funk" in the playlist name in the "Playlist" category at the low left corner of the search result.

  • Click on the "more" link and once you have opened the next page that has

all of the Playlist search results for "electrofunk" or "80s funk",

you'll quickly find a bunch of lists that use the title "Ebony & Ivory Electrofunk".

  • These lists have songs that (1) you may have heard before and enjoyed but forgotten or (2) songs that you may enjoy now but you have not heard before. These lists also include album cuts that were not released as singles and songs from lesser known yet solid groups/soloists such as Fatback, Kashif, Laid Back, D Train, Boys Don't Cry, and Dynasty.

  • the rest of her looks looks pretty good also! but i agree about the legs. a very pretty face and beautyfull voice!

  • OMG!!! this woman had such nice legs!!!

  • 80's were so sexy!

  • Got a little Michael Jackson thing going on!

  • @jocam32 yeah, i'm fifteen and this is sexy.

  • her mullet still makes my junk rise!! Those eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jocam32 "Mullet"...where do people get this name? On a guy, it became known as a "mullet" I suppose...on girls, this was "short and swept" or short and swept back...very classy, easy to maintain..minimal amount of feathering, but still there.

LOTS of girls wore their hair like this in the mid-to-late 80's (well, except for those that wore it teased and big, like Heather Locklear, etc.)

I do agree tho...Sheena's eyes are riveting. She's a strikingly beautiful woman...;)

  • I thought the Bugles killed MTV?

  • Oh my, Sheena! I haven't seen this since the 80's. I was a twenty-something, and.....well, let's just say I wore out the VHS tape I recorded this video on!

    Big Hair, gotta love it!

And you know what? This video is STILL hotter than all of JLos, Beyonces, and Gagas of today, combined!

  • THIS is what sex appeal looks like. Sheena shows it.

  • make-up...check...awesome clothes...check.....we were ready for the fun stuff----80's....everyone made an effort...even the guys! We all had to had the big hair!

  • Ladies and gentlemen this hottie has just melted my computer screen.

  • Been hearing this tune on my local, "Big Hits" station. Glad I finally remembered to look it up. What perfectly constructed pop tune.

  • She looks like a living Patrick Nagel print...

  • excellent ,timeless music,the 80''s.

  • Sheena Easton's body is so hard a cat couldn't scratch it.

  • Love the 80's....Such fun music.

  • a true vixen!

  • Most people get ugly as they get older. She was hotter in the late eighties then in the early eighties.

  • Sheena hit #7 in Billboard, 11-24-84. Cowritten by Charlene 'Charlie' Dore, of 'Pilot of the airwaves' fame. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • How fun were the '80's??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @3939LA i love ur comment! this song seems like it was yesterday on MTV Friday Nights! LOL it was like the winter of 84'....uuugggggg 9th grade! lol

  • @3939LA

    Right up there with the 70s . . .

  • @3939LA Only the greatest decade ever.

  • @3939LA My friend, they were indeed AWESOME. It was a great, fun, wonderful time to be a girl :)

  • @3939LA we could use some of the 80's right know

  • Look closely (2:48-2:52) and you'll see the bassist and guitarist doing what became the inspiration for the Palmer girls....(Robert Palmer - Simply Irresistible)

  • she is hotter than all th girls these days she is sexy without being slutty

  • Hi I'm a stupid commercial on uturd now for crappy producks made for tools! have nice day! =D

  • oh the 80's

  • GREAT song!!!

  • good dance tune

  • She reminds of Kylie Minouge in some ways

  • @molonlave2010 It could be that like Kylie, Ms.Easton is Australian. We need more talented female singers from down under.

  • @Nakedolive She's Scottish in origin, not Australian....whoops!

  • Damn Watching this video, I had almost forgotten how hot she was!! Actually she still is pretty hot!!!

  • ...oh no! oh no!...

    Oh yes!

  • Damn! That is Bruce Hornsby playing keyboard at 2:28. That is Joe Puerta from Ambrosia playing bass.

  • @edgeball Yep. Joe Puerta was also in Bruce Hornsby's band - "The Range" as well.

  • I wonder if she ever fucked Don Johnson while on Miami Vice??

  • @rollerball17 WOW!! MY SEDIMENTS,,,EXACTLY!! REALLY WONDER IF ANY OF THE PRODUCERS SAW SHEENA AND DON TOGETHER, HE WAS MARRIED TO MELANIE GRIFFITH AT THE TIME.

  • @rollerball17 i'm wondering right now if you have brains in your head.

  • I would eat the clothes line her underwear hang on.
