Nice card, but s.i.g is just about to release ver 2.0 of pci express which will double the bandwidth, overall power consumption will be lowered & the cards will be twice as good because direct10 cards at the moment are still in beta.

Power consumation won't be lowered moving from PCIE x16 to PCIE 2.0 x16, the new PCIE 2.0 supported cards run on smaller chips and GDDR4 memory, that lowers the consumation quite dramaticly - we see that today with the 2600XT and 8600GT, as far as I remember.

In my opinion that was an unnecessary updrage. You already had a quality card to last you until when the 9800 series comes out (soon), which will crap all over the 8 series.

no offence or anything :D, I just would've planned my upgrade better. but yeah the 8800 ultra is the best so at least u can say that.

G92 will be launched this year (8600GT) and a updated 8800GTS, but the 9-series will launch Next Year. First after ATi's R680 55nm will the 65nm G90 launch and we'll have 55nm R700 from ATi coming Q2 along with Phenom FX x3 and X4 along with a few others - we'll probably see ATi turning the tables next year, atleast on the paper, VGAs eating way less power than the Nvidia variants and cheaper AMD CPUs with potentially even faster Intel processors even with less cores.

zakreganpatten core 2 duo is the best out at the moment and also more bang for your buck;)The one processor thats very popular at the moment is the Q6600, as its a quad core and very fast/future proof and surprisingly its pretty cheap now!

Also Leadtek are very good, ive had a Leadtek 7950GT 512MB for nearly a year and its never caused me any problems, doesnt get too hot either with the standard cooler:D

Well i was getting a BFG OC version in the 1st place, but sadly i got ripped off. this was on ebay along with about 25 other ppl. who were scammed like me :(, So in the end i swent onto overclockers and saw this.. so i just ordered it.. great lil card..
