I was at this race as a spectator and I saw the boat/crew afterwards. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the boat. The skeg/rudder was still on the boat. The coxswain was just a fucking idiot
I hate how everyone is just like "they should just stop, its heading everyone's progress", i mean stfu, they dont want to quit no matter what, give them credit, and they aren't getting in others way
Except of course at 0:30 when they nearly collide and force the other boat off course because they can't steer . And at 3:15 when they can't yield the short course around the buoys to the overtaking crew because they can't steer.
Reckless, dangerous, unprofessional. Despite the courage the rowers showed, the coxswain should not have continued rowing.
I don't care how nice she is, someone tells me I should have pulled out of a race when I hit some adversity (no matter how much), I'm going to punch them in the face.
that girl in the bg sounds like a total asshole! "they should just get off the course because they're impeding the progress of everyone else!" would someone please punch her in the face? she's impeding the fun of everyone watching!
"They're gunna smash..." lol.

wow, I find it amazing how there's looks to still be great set and power in that boat.
True, cox should've stopped if there was a problem.

You have to admire someone who won't quit just because it's hard.
