I have to admit that I am bummed about the Neverland Pool...BUT this looks like so much fun that I think that once I get there and experience all of the new sights myself, I won't miss the Neverland pool! Also, by this point in the hotel guest tower transformation, will all of the guests staying there at the end of the summer be guaranteed a refurbished room? Or is it still by chance (or request)?

@DuckyPirateNinja My husband and I just booked a room for three nights 8/6/11 - 8/8/11 - the Disney agent said that they make sure everyone is in a newly refurbished room now :D

@proofreader33 Haha We'll be in D-land the same day (8/7) But we're saving the Downtown Disney for 8/8 because that is my 16th birthday and we kind of just wanted a chill out day. So far, it doesn't look like it will be super hot but the forecast doesn't extend quite that long. Hope you have a wonderful trip! =)

so does that mean that this is the only pool available right now at the Disneyland hotel? I'm sure its fun but we are going in July 2011 and the reason we picked the Disneyland over the California was the amazing reviews of the neverland pool! Don't tell me its closed!

@mrssuzyq Yes, the Neverland pool has closed permanently. This pool is in a separate location and is the only Disneyland Hotel pool available until the new E-Ticket pool opens, which is replacing the Neverland pool.

@alaine93 This is not the main pool, but rather a water slide-focused area. The main pool was the Never Land Pool which is currently being transformed into the E-Ticket pool.

I expected this attraction to be on a much grander scale. Two slides is like big whoop de doo! Its still not worth 300 a night. The pool at Paradise Pier is just as nice. This area seems empty and not at all inviting. Where are all the plants?

@eeyorefan121 Good observation. :) This was early in the morning (just after the slides opened at 10am) and there were hardly any other people there. As such, the cast member on duty gave me the go ahead despite the light being red. She had visual confirmation that there was no one in the pool below.
