  • uuuuuuuaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

  • Apparently there were 2 sources of music in the room. Lennon was reportedly fascinated by standing at the midpoint, and moving from side to side to change the sound balance in his head. Forget where I read this...

  • Pink floyd and tits, does it get any better??? yes. Just add John Lennon.

  • Это добрая старая история...Жаль много времени прошло.

  • a vieron que eswta jomh lenon

  • what is john lennon doing there?

  • @Hubbleknarf what about it? even mccartney would go round and see the Floyd playing

  • @Hubbleknarf

    he's having a good time!

  • @Hubbleknarf Having a good time? Checking out the competition? Who knows? ;)

  • Poor Syd Barrett was on a trip that no one could ever come back from. That's how he was wired from day one.

  • Dewd get a grip. He was already mentaly ill and went over the edge on Ludes, (Mandrax in England) not LSD. That takes nothing away from his genius. Just a very sad tale. RIP Syd!

  • They were doing at the Roundhouse what Ken Kesye and the Pranksters were doing in San Fransisco

  • art

  • WTF JOHN LENNON?!? 2:39

  • @TehLAWL1 Yes. Both he and Paul used to hang out at the UFO club.

  • Heres another fantastic but raw Syd

    .youtube.com/watch?v=TCRpIelriX8

  • @TehLAWL1 Also from 1:17 - 1:43, in silhouette, I reckon! :)

  • En Resumidas Cuentas... P.F.... No Hay Pretexto... Musica Espacial Al Alcance De La Mente...

(no apto para normales, ni para mortales)

  • No UFO ! Syd is no longer enthousiastic as in 1966. This is mid- 1967.

  • @MyIRRI

Right ! And Waters already big head.

  • Carefull with that axe ugene? early impression

  • Carfull with that axe ugene? early impression

  • Taking lsd may have made him realize his perceived genius the public had was way more then he knew he had. He may have simply run out of creative gas early on, and realized he really had no more to contribute. If this was the case, I'm sure it played hard on his mind to the point of deep depression. Seems like the other band members (especially gilmore), kind of elude to this from interviews over the years.

  • Great!!!!!!

  • is that john lennon at 1:22 to 1:42?

  • @MusicManDan22 I think so. I have the VHS and it points him out sometime in this gig.

  • @doojeen - Right and double right. It's where John met Yoko for the first time.

  • @wdmounger - I'm sure you prefer the mindless dribble of the Backstreet Boys, or even worse, AC/DC.

  • Barrett truly believed in what he did without making a profit out of it he also didn't played the saint like many artist did at that time. He just lost all trust in friends and the music buisiness so he went back to his family. Most people didn't understand his vision so they blamed it all on the acid. He is never diagnosed on shizofrenia by any doctor.

  • they should release this on Cd or DVD

its the best example of floyd with syd

  • As Pink Floyd Would say Shine on You Crazy Diamond RIP Syd your influnce is still felt today.

  • total useless bore

  • I've done hundreds of trips. Never had a bad one.

  • amazing!!

  • Groovey!

  • lets not waste time blog arguing, lets listen

  • no syd no pink floyd no kurt no nirvana....the name are legend

  • Just stunning.... Lennon, Harrison, and it even looks like Yoko walking straight past John. The things Syd Barrett can do with a guitar... blow me away.

  • It's amazing the sounds you can get with a Danelectro guitar, Zippo lighter and a Binson echo box !! Any guitar player today can easily replicate those sounds yet back in 1966-67 this was groundbreaking!!!

  • Totally amazing. I wish I lived in the 60's... It would be great to see the Floyd performing live!

  • Was that Marianne Faithful in the crowd too?

  • .... però syd barrett nn ci fare spaventare con le tue invenzioni

  • history in the making folks, history in the making.... john there, yoko there, syd and the floyd there......

  • let syd do 'the talking'.....

  • man thats john and george on the croud

  • plz can anyone tell me the make/model of the guitar that Syd is using??Thanks

  • danelectro, im not sure what model but thats the company, and im pretty sure ive seen jimmy page using it for a song

  • It was just called the Standard in my old catalog. The re-issue is called a DC-59. I think DC is for Double Cutaway, and 1959 was the year it was introduced.

  • Danelectro kicks ass! Syd knew it.

  • Nick's Boogie, great song on album London 66/67

  • this IS the sound of LSD 25!

  • boy howdy! also careful with that ax eugene.

  • may I add revolution number 9?

  • Awesome! thanks for posting....I miss my old friend

  • u are not a real syd fan this is painting with music

  • One of my favourite period of Pink Floyd, when there was true innovation, research by total improvisation.

    Thanx for posting.

  • that was so amazing.

  • AMAZING VIDEO!! THANKS!!

  • Dios bendiga pink floyd, si existe claro.

  • i love you syd

  • one man losing his head plus three poor men who doesn't know how to follow him!

  • He didn't acutally lose his head. Way too many people think that. When he took LSD he seen that he couldn't get what he wanted out of life if he was famous so he withdrew from that lifestyle to paint, bike, make music, and live in peace. Unfotunately media always tried to find him and piss him off up until his death in 2006.

  • that's not true, he did lose his head, it has been proved, lsd in large amounts may cause serious 'brain damage'...

  • silly.. sad people still believe such propaganda. Sadder still is allowing Syd to become the poster child for such gibberish. Drugs are bad, but for some reason alot of folks feel justified in flat out lying in order to further the cruscade against them..

  • amen brother! its all bullshit

  • Im curious how many of these anti drug propaganda yuppies take anti depressants and other prescribed drugs. Such a funny world- we trash people who use recreational drugs and yet anytime we get a mental 'boo boo' we immediately run to the cover of a shrink who prescribes drugs.. Nasty drugs mind you.

Nothing like coming to a pink floyd discussion and having to deal with anti drug jackasses.. I blow smoke in all of your faces ya losers

  • clearly the argument of a druggie.

  • Ironbuttermilk- you just keep visiting the shrink and getting those happy pills.. and telling yourself its ok because its legal..

I mean, what kind of idiot spends their weekends on pink floyd discussion threads spewing the dangers of drug use?

Your a clown you just dont know it.. but we do : )

  • All useless fucked up druggies think like you, that everyone has their crutch and that the only difference is the legality.

The is the perspective and argument of a fucked up druggie.

Drugs ruined the lives of thousands of musicians (let alone everyone else) some famous, and many, many more who idolized the famous. It cracks Me up when people rave about The Environment, and then stuff themselves with drugs. Whatever. I just came here to check out the music because I'm a player.

  • bad i dead to argue against drugs on a pink floyd vid like this one

  • Well, I gather that people are encouraged (as i was) to try LSD and other drugs because they dig groovy rock stars and figure it must be a wild trip.

I took it and it was awful. Not the Whole time, but much of it, enough to chatter my life. It's playing with fire.

  • pyrotechnical safety procedures are recommended

  • i want whatever your getting, serioiusly

  • I am not 'getting' anything and haven't since 1979. If you want what I took that turned me away from drugs then you are several sandwiches short of a picnic. I can't understand why I've been so ridiculed by warning against LSD here on a video of a famous acid casualty. Do these idiots really think the what happened to Syd was 'cool'? Do they want that same fate? I'm not Joe Friday, I'm speaking from my own direct experience, you childish loser morons.

  • ok you overanalyzing hypocritical geriatric fuck, you take a joke from me, not criticism, a joke and come back with insult..just because you cant handle your LSD, commonly due to insecurity, doesnt mean it cant be used effectively or responsibly to learn more about ones self, it simply gives you the ability to see things differently, from another perspective...why are you warning people not to experience the same thing you have, the same experience that made you who you are, so shut the hell up

  • bite me, hippie.

  • Does it not make sense to warn others of your bad and dangerous experiences? And btw idiot, Syd and Brian Jones couldn't handle it either. If you want to have a 'psychedelic' experience there are other Far less dangerous ways. Street drugs are Always a risk, and I don't think they're worth the risk. And also, it's No Joke. Go make fun of a rape victim too while you're at it you insensitive creep!

  • unlike some others, I appreciate the warning. It's good to hear different about others' experiences.

  • ironbuttermilk takes it in the bum

  • Yeah,,, live and let live, rock on!!!!

  • @popgoiuuod I took a lot of acid in my young days, fair enough it did fuck my head up but i handled it... Then lately with very serious family problems the doctor gave me anti-depressants -- They did truely fuk my head up far worse than any trip i took when i was young, i stopped taking them as soon as i realised wot was going on.. there is a lot of perscribed drugs out there alot more dangerous. just cus your doctor gave it to you doesn't mean it wont fuk u up!!

  • @popgoiuuod im with you dood

  • @popgoiuuod Waters call them ship.

  • I guess he was just institutionalized for all those years for the hell of it??

    RIP SYD MUCH LUV!!

  • he was never institutionalised.. get your facts straight retard

  • @stangcobr

    roger waters killed syd

  • @waynealarsen What the fuck makes you say that? Why would he do so? Syd was an exstremely talented and creative musician. Then one day he changed. Why in the love of god would Roger do such a thing? I do get that this som kind of joke, but it aint funny and ...

    Seriously... You'r an bloody idiot.

  • @MrFunkyDung

they threw him outta the band is what I mean. mr dung head

  • @waynealarsen Sorry, i just got the book "Inside Out" by Nick.. I can see what you meant. Roger, Nick and Richard must have felt really bad ...

  • @MrFunkyDung thanks for trying to understand my point of view. they didn't even tell Syd their plan. they just , one day didn't pick him up to go to the studio. if you ever get the chance to listen to some of the late Floyd Bootlegs from the end if '67 Syd's guitar playing is outstanding! the song Millionaire is my Fave.

    hey it's all good!

  • @nizzle2 i don't think his life was the peaceful fairytale you describe...he just missed his point and never recovered it...and it must have been very painful...sadly

  • @nizzle2 I hate people like you, how do you know anything about what this guy went thru! Fuck off!

  • @nizzle2 Really?Your fucking stupid. :]

  • @nizzle2 So you're trying to tell Syd was completely sane?

  • sick two greatest band pink floyd and beatles

  • extraterrestres!!!!!!!!

  • tits at 3:20?

  • is that a question mark at the end of your line, TOD?

  • Fantastic!

  • c`est genial!

  • Thanks for adding this. Rare.

John and Yoko still had not met each other when this was filmed.

  • LSD + TALENT = this:)

  • this is the best song they ever recorded....

  • 02:17.....JOHN LENNON!!!

  • lennon was a big syd/floyd fan, the song "whats the new mary jane" sounds a lot like a syd tune

  • ...and George Harrison!

  • isnt it tonite lets make.. ?
