I don't like how the Ip Man character wins all his fights without challenge. There's just no excitement when you know that he can't even get hurt by his opponents. The choreography itself was enjoyable, though.

How he's mastered this style to such a degree he fluidly performs it without any sort of mistakes. I think that in itself is its own excitement. If you wanna see him get roughed up, Ip Man 2 definitely does it lol.

Another thing I love about this ending fight in all kinds of kung fu movies: In most movies, the main protagonist/fighter has to "pull through" some kind of inner struggle to FINALLY gain the power to take the advantage in the big, climactic battle, because they always start of getting their asses kicked, and then FINALLY start winning. Ip Man just says, "Alright, fuck this shit. You're going down.", then opens up the biggest can of whoopass on General Miura.
@MrAlexH1991 There is no 'best' martial arts style. it very much depends on the user. All martial arts are equal. every school and every style. you cannot base you judgement based on a movie. if you had watched wong fei hung movies instead, you would say 'hung gar is the best style ever invented'.

the popular wong fei hung movies don't even use hung gar for the character. It's more like a hybrid wushu mixed kung fu style. Especially the once upon a time in china series or the drunken master series. Even the kwan tak hing movies use hung gar loosely. Like i said in these movies it's always a uneven match up of characters. It's like a level 10 digimon vs. a level 100 digimon. If both fighters are the same skill level then it's a coin toss.

from what i see is some martial arts dont' get the exposure some do. Some martial art styles are over exposed and over hyped. Like you said if there was a best martial arts then everything else would technically be phased out cause who wants to learn 2nd rate martial arts. Everybody wants the best. From what I see in these movies is a disparity in matching up characters or fighters that are not on the same skill level. It's like matching a level 2 pokemon against a level 50 pokemon.
