This sounds great. Seriously, this guy is a stellar musician, but it's not jazz. You hear the straight eighths, the swing is not here, there is no jazz. It's hard because I go to look up jazz artists and I am trying to find modern cats who swing and for some reason, these straight guys are calling it jazz, and it's not, it's a further development of a Latin or a new age funk or fusion. Great music, just not categorized correctly.

@SuperYouGerT Jazz is a broad statement. Jazz is made up of swing, shuffle, latin, funk, the fusion of all of those, etc. Make sure your very specific in what type of jazz your looking for. THIS ALBUM IS SWINGIN.

GREAT to hear Aaron this Sunday a.m. This is a golden Sunday morning...li'l ducklings on the lake outside, a guitar player gently practicing on his patio, and now Aaron on KPLU-FM, with the wonderful air jockey honoring Aaron's roots. And how he's grown up since I first heard him 8 or so years ago at UW's Meany Hall in concert. Aaron, you've helped make it shine on a another gray Seattle day!

I heard Ari Live in Philly @ Chris Jazz Club... dude is sick on the set... the way he makes the drums talk is crazy... got his album and the video.... amazing stuff... I am not familiar with Aaron heard him once on NPR and i was like wow thats cool stuff... but if Ari is on the album too.... i am gonna get the ablum like yesterday!!

Eric harland's on the recording. But not the dude in the live set in the video. Dunno who that is. Not Ari Hoenig either, which some people are saying
