It's NOT ''new technology'' like he claim, he only figured out how it's done.. It's actually been in use by the British Secret Service (MI5, MI6, GCHQ etc) for a number of years and has been developed by BAE Systems.
im sorry but until i see this test performed in isolation and not through a piece of steel with loads of space to the side and in the room for the wireless to transmit and reconvene on the other side, then maybe i'll believe the validity of this. that being said, if it is true, this looks promising.
Wow nice, this story is in a australian news site. This is really cool. I hope a big private firm picks it up, good luck with your works maybe this is the next big invention :P
Good job Tristan, glad to see it's up and working so well! Now time to finally escape the lab for a beer!!

Clearly only true nerds play Tommy Emmanuel's "Train to Dusseldorf" in their super-spy demonstrations.

There is a article on it on TheRegister site.

@ChipmunksInc "he only figured out how it's done"
Dear, dear, that defines any invention: we are just figuring out how it's done.
Graham Bell and Elisha Gray also "figured out how to transmit audio"
Edison "figured out how to record sound"...
The caveman "figured out how to make fire"...
Yeah, we never "create" we "figure out".

I applaud this young man in producing a video that clearly, concisely and rather pleasantly explains a new technology in 1:58

Impressive. Always been a fan of RPI.
With increased range this technology no doubt has implications for Surveillance/Counter-Surveillance among other applications.
