Yes it's true, Christina has earned exclusivity as..' the voice'. Earning what only few,both before and since her debut have tread, Grammy gold. And so for this reason and in order to level the playing field for those less voiced, a great song or writer is critical to any artists career path, and particularly those who are most needy.

It looks like she's lip syncing over her own track, along with the live back up singers. There are times when her voice is apparent but the mic isn't at her mouth. It's subtle, but there. The girl has serious pipes, but often her live performances are very energetic but vocally rough.

But when it comes to POP MUSIC itselft, Christina is not the owner of the crown. Why? Mainly because Christina's records, besides her first one, aren't pop itself. She has done so many styles that we can't call her a pop singer. She has sung a lot of Soul, R&B, Jazz, Rock, and lot of styles, so I think she's the Queen of Music

well, Queen of Pop doesn't have to be the best singer they just have to keep making themselves relevant, changing it up to remain in the pop, commercial, scene, Which I would give to Madonna, as with Michael, King of Pop. But the best pop singer in Madonna's generation would have to be Whitney, in my opinion! or for some Mariah. In the generation following, well, hands down Christina is the best pop singer... Hey, she might be the first queen with pipes, but only the future could tell... :D

I don't understand why people say that Madonna is the number one pop singer. Madonna's voice sucks!! It has nothing special, It's just a flat matte noise. Christina is the best one!!! You have to understand that during her time she was quite innovative and helped shape pop music. She's praised and highly respected because of that particular reason. She was fresh and different and she's inspired countless singers that have come after her.

You're the only person who disregarded Christina's vocal technique, cause hers is unique, no other singer has ever managed to do what she does with her voice and I think that's obvious. All singers have their good and bad moments, they are human beings and that doesn't abase them as artists or talents.

@123Jenny90 Actually, I amongst many others consider Christina's technique to be absolutely horrible. Her style? Flawless. Her persona? Breathtaking. Her technique? Damaging, choked, and painful. For example: Phillipe Jaroussky, a rather famous operatic countertenor, refutes all claims of her being a good singer whatsoever because of her technique. Now, I don't agree with all of his points, but I DO agree that her belting is throaty and FORCED.

@Wagnerlover777 Throaty and forced? No, it's the style of her voice, the sound of her voice, she's got a very kind of closed and warm voice that gives you the illusion that she struggles. But no, that's her sound. Some singers' voices are hoarse like Pink's for example and thicker , and when they belt the high notes they sound like they are getting exhausted but it's not like that. Christina's technique is unique and she uses it perfectly well, each singer has a characteristic sound. :)

@123Jenny90 Then please DO explain why she isn't capable of hitting even her famous 'high E' nowadays, when she was perfectly able to only 4 years ago. Her technique is damaging- I haven't heard her manage a high F, much less the high G that she sang back in the days of Lady Marmalade. And it's not that her voice has lowered, because the low range remains exactly as it was a decade ago. Why is it? She hurt her voice.

@Wagnerlover777 It is said that when singers put or lose weight their voice is slightly affected because of the abrupt change of the whole body and vocal chords are a part of your body too. Christina is naturally skinny and this abrupt change might have had a negative effect on this ability. Just like an athlete, whose weight is increased, he doesn't have the strength to keep his body as active as before and gets tired easily.

Marylin was a show woman, an actress, not actually a singer and the beatles were a group which is very very different. But Elvis... he was one of the most talented singers of all time. He was more than that really. He marked generations, he "invented" rock n roll. One of the first who did something that had never been achieved by anyone else.

She can sing yes, but only to one single level. If I compare her to Christina's, Christina's level is a lot higher, when it comes to sound, vocals and ability in general. I think it's clear enough.
