@redifreddy14 this song came out in the bush jr era. Also, Obama is working with a divided government which we created. He is doing the best with the poor excuse we have for a party system. If you want to see positive change happen you need only look for help in a mirror.
This band creates the most honest, genuine music that ive ever heard. I remember the days following a crushing breakup that ended my 2 year relationship. I listened to all three of their albums from start to finish. Funeral day 1. Neon Bible day 2. The suburbs day 3. They've helped me through so many hard times. I love Arcade Fire and will always cherish their songs.
@redifreddy14 obama is NOT worse than bush. bush set us up for disaster, obama is trying to fix it...you can't expect 8 years of corruption to go away instantly.
Great tune.....really good points with-in the lyrics......been out for 3 or 4 years, but this song always touches my heart....:) I don't want to live in America no more either, Win!
His guitar says Sak Vide Pa kanpe which is a Haitian Creole proverb meaning that people cant function on an empty stomach (empty bags don't stand). Lol. LOVE IT. lOVE AF and Haiti.
I used this song for a paper I wrote last year comparing a work of art to the book Fahrenheit 451. Although I'm sure Fahrenheit 451 is not what the song is about, it's interesting to compare the two.
Anyways, this is my favorite Arcade Fire song. Much love:)
Great song... The lyrics are a bit suicidal dark.. Why did i take this pill? cause I dont want to see it on my windowsill....It just about how sometimes your tired of everything..
Pretty good, I would think these guys would be prepping or in the studio working on a new album as its been over 2 yrs since 'Neon Bible' I havnt heard or read anything that they are. I hope they're still a band.
I got a chance to speak to vince after a show in '07 and he said they're gonna take a whole two years off writing/recuperating so they can be 100% for a new album. So, look out for something soon.
Stunning!

@redifreddy14 Considering that Bush got America into a war we didn't need to fight, I'd say Obama is doing a decent job.
