My brother had a bunch of these sets, I remember I think railroad, city, and construction. They disappeared after we moved out of our parents house... wish they hadn't, would like to see them again.
@busterbrown17 There are a few different sets there.... but they are all in demand. Stop into your local bookstore and look through my book "Hot Wheels Accessories, The Ultimate Guide" They are listed there with photos.
How come "railroad" is equated with harmonica music?
BTW, I remember having a set when I was 7 years old. I LOVED it! But I think my mom gave my set away when I was older. I was disappointed but at least it went to a needy child at the time.

Awesome...I had this in 1985! Played with it constantly. I also had the Chessie System set as well as the "electric" Burlington Northern.

@Amar7605 because the Hobo's that used to ride the trains would always play the harmonica and sing songs about their travels.

@zarnock Oh yeah, I remember now. Thanks for the history refresher!

Man, I loved the Freight Yard playset, because it remined me of the industrial areas near my neighborhood.
I wonder what is the scale of that train track.
NitekMuscle 2 years ago
I am pretty sure it's HO scale which is 1/87
zarnock 2 years ago
@zarnock It is an "off-scale" that is unique to these trains.
I have one of these sets, and my three year old loves it. Then again, he loves all things related to trains. (His second word was "train")
SSN760 1 year ago
@zarnock Yes it is HO scale!!! My HWRR trains work on HO tracks!

I had one of those too. That track was so brittle. I ended up throwing it out. You are better of buying a real train set than to purchase this one.
