  • Right on, Burton. Be honest with yourself first and then enjoy the sweetness that follows.

  • I never heard this song...Words in this song make me think also....Have I...Free..Blessings Lou

  • gotta lover Burton!!!

  • He is the best no matter what he sings he is the greatest of all time....

  • One of the greatest songs ever! One word to seek its meaning and many words to be inspired by.

  • Truely a Canadian Treasure!

    Love ya Burt!

  • I just have to love him for this. Very humble of him to own up to his mistakes in public. Yes, Burton is the man!

  • And little did Burton know that if he cleaned out the trunk in his T Bird, he would have found the tape that later became the Thunderbird tracks. A rockin piece of Bachman Cummings history.

  • Beautifully sung by Mr. Cummings. Is that Hiram Bullock on guitar???

  • let's see it's 4:00in the morning straped on the strat played this cool song soloed with a talk box Bitchin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome! Thanks 69Lovett. Will watch this clip over and over... Have adored Burton forever. Love everything he does. He writes a blog on MySpace to keep fans up on his career. Fantastic..

  • hey, where is that blog located? I tried searching myspace and couldn't find it. Thanks.

  • who the fuck is the guitarist? Awesome song.

  • Love it! He's as sexy as ever!

  • Great video!

I don't usually like "breaks" or interruptions in the middle of songs or videos, but those were great knowing that he made good on the promises that he made to himself. The Guess Who reunion and the Bachman-Cummings projects are proof of that.

Thanks BIG time for posting this 69Lovett

  • to zognet, i couldnt agree with you more. you nailed it dead on that fact. Burton made some questionable moves in the past, said and done things that affected him at the end. it happens to the best of us humans. but as you say, he was determined to never beack out on those promises, and yeah bachman and cummings to this day are closer then ever before, and sounding every bit as good if not, better.

  • Awesome!

  • TO ALL PEOPLE! Im lookin for a song from Burton Cummings, from a movie called "MELONIE". Its called, Pickin up brokin pieces. How can i get this????? Please help me out!

  • @20rich02 Only 3 years late with the reply. I believe the song you are looking for is "Something Old, Something New" from the movie "Melanie". You can find it here on Youtube.

  • it is too on a cd ..lol,,,aviable mostly thru me

  • Plus signs is one of the all time underated albums! I hope he still has a few like it to come! Saw him Live in Brampton back around 1996, will never forget that show! He was incredible!!

  • Burt never really went away after The Guess Who, but to his fans outside of Canada it might have seemed that way. All his solo albums sold big back home and he put them out pretty regularly. I feel lucky that I grew up in Toronto and was fed a regular diet of Burt tunes on local radio.

  • I absolutely ADORE this video... WONDERFUL... BEAUTIFUL, and I adore Burton... THANK YOU for posting. *PEACE* !

  • Absolutely an icon to the music world, indeed!! Awesome video! Thanks so much for posting! Definately a song to appreciate for Guess Who fans and Burton Cummings fans alike!!

  • Love this. Burton just gets better and better.

  • It takes a big man to apologise. I hope those who need to hear these words "tune in".

  • One of the all time great rock singers and musicians.

  • Awesome talent since the Guess Who and his singles work -- combined with the message. Glad to see it is still around to be seen and heard.

  • burton is a legend

  • I agree with Beauvoir. I can't get enough Burt. One of the Earth's greatest talents.

  • This is a really beautiful song, when Burton talks about the song and why he did it. Everyone should be so FREE too.

  • Thank you lovett69. I am a native of Chicago, but have seen Burton and the Guess Who, starting w/the Donny McDougal days-whom my father helped get his permit to tour w/the band after Greg Leskew quit. I enjoyed Kurt Winter tremendously, missed Dominic Troiano-live unfortunately. But I finally got to see Randy B. during the 2001 tour outside Washington DC and Burton solo at that beautiful theatre at the Niagra Falls Casino in late Jan. 2005. Thanks again,69lovettGREATLY appreciated.
