  • Yea the title is all wrong. It's soul train not the soul train awards, plus as someone said below this aint from 79. Heck, "Off the wall" came out in 79...but thanks for uploading anyway..

  • The best...

  • this is 75 76

  • I swear this isnt 1979 :O

He looks only 17-18 here :P He looks soooo much younger that in other 1979 vids.. I thought this was like '76 :P

  • I love Mike. I can safely say that he was the SOUNDTRACK to my life. That sweet angelic soulful voice... I will never forget.

  • what if michael sang this live at your prom?

  • @Team15Jake He would be my Date rofl :P

  • @jezzter "I was born in this country and there are a lot of things about America I am proud of, and there are a lot of things I am not proud of.

I feel like a person of the world, I can't take sides. I hate saying I'm american." (Michael Jackson)

He was treated far better outside his homeland. Many who joined the hate wagon while he was alive, now suddenly "love" him.

Well, this is the world in which war mongerers and mass murderers are given Nobel Peace Prizes and elected as leaders.

  • im sure Joseph was probably jealous of Michael's appearance and decided to get under his skin by bullying him, i wish MJ new how beautiful he was inside and out

  • It's in 1975, not in 1979 !

  • His voive is so angelic what I would give for him to come back we love you Michael!

  • Michael may have changed his appearance. But his heart was always loving and giving. This was a lovely performance by Michael.

  • such a great voice.........

  • Love u mike:•))))))

  • I wonder what he would have looked like if he was stayed black and ruin his body.

  • @njbcmasschoir I wonder what it would look like if you had a grasp on grammatically correct english.

  • @FatBabyCheeks Why do you have to hate on this person? She commenting on the greatness of MJ. I do not believe it was this persons intention, to hand in an essay, to be critiqued! What up with that?

  • @babalieux19 Why are you in this conversation? Is it your intent to demonstrate your inability to utilize commas correctly? Bravo, you have succeeded!

  • I've got to say....the devil did a number on this kid. I'm sorry, but Michael Jackson, as seen here, was so beautiful, pure, innocent, talented, dare I say gifted, and rare and unique. He was a handsome guy, but somehow a legion of demons (I can only guess) convinced him in his mind that he was somehow ugly (I'm sure Joseph calling him big nose didn't help), hence all of the plastic and cosmetic surgeries. What a tragedy. MJ was the greatest entertainer perhaps ever in history. ...so sad :(

  • @walabalabingbang I think Dave Chapelle said it best...."There's something in Hollywood that makes people lose their minds"..........

    miss you Micheal

  • @blakdog90 Yeah, I saw Dave Chappelle say something like that on an episode of Inside the Actors Studio. Whatever that something is...it made Dave Chappelle walk away from 50 million dollars.

  • @blakdog90 Poison in the kool-aid, my friend.

  • @FatBabyCheeks That's some strong stuff.......

  • @walabalabingbang he'll always be beautiful and absolutely wonderful

  • @walabalabingbang the "legion of demons" as you put it just happened to manifest in his father Joe, the same person who is probably partially responsible for making Michael such a wonderful entertainer unfortunately. His own screwed up family, and primarily the American public who were ready to crucify him, took care of the rest.

  • @Lunarwill It is ironic that had it not been for Joseph's ambition, and probably unhealthy drive to make his kids famous, we probably would not even know Michael Jackson. Although maybe Michael was so talented, that later in life he would have become famous on his own, without the driving force of Joseph. We'll never know. I can't help but ask the question though...was it worth it? The world got to enjoy Michael's talents, from the time he was a young kid, with the Jackson 5, and for the rest..

  • @Lunarwill of his life, but it seems as though the very thing that Michael so great and famous, his art, and performing..the thing that brought the world so much joy and entertainment, was the very thing that destroyed Michael's ability to grow into an adult. MJ never got over the fact that he was robbed of a childhood, and spent the rest of his adult life trying to compensate for his missing childhood, even to the point where he thought of himself as Peter Pan. And don't forget...while the

  • @Lunarwill American public was extremely critical of MJ towards the end of his life and career (after the allegations of child molestation, and the increasing eccentricities, and bizarre behavior from him, plastic surgeries, Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber, Bubbles the chimpanzee, elephant man's bones, hanging blanket over a hotel balcony etc), it was also the American public that made MJ perhaps the most famous entertainer in the history of the world, & the most successful and wealthy one as well...

  • @walabalabingbang not just the american public, everywhere in the world, MJ was the most celebrated, loved and popular entertainer on the planet..not just 'america'..what a shame, what a shame. it was "WE" who did a number on him. RIP, sweet soul!

  • @Lunarwill Remember Michael Mania? Circa 1984. Thriller was and is the greatest selling album in the history of recorded music. Michael was bigger than The Beatles and Elvis. He won 8 grammy's in one night, an all time record. Remember the pepsi endorsements? Remember his dominance of MTV? and seemingly popular culture? Yes, we made him that famous. And he loved it. But, as Gladys Knight put it in a documentary of MJ, "at what great cost, at what great cost."

  • @walabalabingbang Since black men were colonized and absorbed the colonial mentality, the devil don't have much to do.

  • @walabalabingbang History is not done yet. In 200 years there will have been many, many more very good singers. And even more in 500 years. The human population could be 8 billion just by 2030. That's another billion people.

  • @walabalabingbang no dude, it was the girls, asking for him as a little kid, and then they would be like wow he is ugly and has facial problems, so he just said fuck it ill be a message instead of a person.

  • this sucks u will have 999999 dislikes this is ina properate

  • this is what black people watch!

  • @SuperChina223 No sweetie, this was a show created for Black people in the USA, and it became a Dance show that out lasted any of the American White dance shows on TV not only in the USA but in the world. It was the most famous dance show! In the USA there was only American Bandstand, and a few no count others, in Britain there was Top the Pops. Soul Train set the Trend for Music and Dance shows in the USA! It was originally for American Blacks but soon all races watched!

  • wow awesom!!!!!

  • Simply unforgettable!

  • Beautiful, thank you for posting this, I haven't seen this one.

  • whats the name of this song? Beautiful

  • @Downsouthbeauty214 "One Day in Your Life"...hauntingly beautiful, isn't it...one of my very favorites! Peace and Love...

  • @Downsouthbeauty214 "One Day In Your Life." It's easy to tell the title of any song. It's the verse or sentence that's often repeated throughout the song. Just listen....

  • @Downsouthbeauty214 This is the 1975 Motown cut "One Day In Your Life" This song has also been covered by several artists

  • love MJ

  • This is only Soul Train from 1976
