I have nothing but respect for Mr Ewert, an intelligent man cruelly stricken by disease in his autumn years. But Dignitas should be better than this. I wouldn't want my last moments on Earth in a room that smells of smoke with an ashtray on the table.
i think that both god and evolution both have not been proven... and the fact that ppl argue back and forth is a bit much, we shoulded push our beliefs on others... a scientific person would not like a godly man to preach to him, just as a godly man would not like the same... in this matter I think its just a "let a person feel as they feel" cause I dont know that God is real just as I don't know if the big bang happend.. the truth is there is no one that has lived that long to tell us the deal.
@RedSun1932 Its sad that so many religious people open there fucking mouths on here.. This is very sensitive and it should be given its right to be said and not bashed.. as a matter of fact that man that is now passed away is very happy where he is.. He is no longer in our chains and shackles of this reality which is Duality.. He now exist probubly in the 5th dimension. Its sad he couldnt stay till our ascension but its ok he had his sooner. Love for him and his family
@troubledseed Everyone is entitled to choose how they live, why should how they die be different. Wonder if these nuts would feel the same if they were in a similar situation??
@RedSun1932 Yup your so right and you completely understand what i meant and how that man felt. Dear RedSun1932, I love your reply and your obviously amazing human spirit!
so he probably will end up in hell which is million times worse than his disease he was fooled by satan i feel sad for him im serious this mustnt be legal and everyone who approves to this needs to go to justice
@Littlefoot3559 Have you been to hell recently or are you just speculating based on what you've been told or read. For all we know we're in hell right now. With all this bs going on I wouldn't put it past it. Though I believe in God I realized that BOOK was written by MAN who unlike GOD is fallible. Ps: Did you know condemning another person to hell can get yourself there as well? The ONLY person that can judge any of us is GOD. Remember that love...
@Jheysoda you think i judged him there is much proof out there that heaven and hell exists not just the words of the bible but many proofs books documentaries videos articles and also many more evidence it seems like you abandoned god and christianity just for that silly reason "it was written by man" its because u hate god in ur heart i did think like you once but i found much more evidence than i could ask for. for this man i havve sympathy for him because he might be in hell no offence.
@Littlefoot3559 You misunderstood. What I mean by written by man is that it's fallible not like God who is infallible. There has never been any PROOF of heaven or hell and especially not hell. Do you know why? It's because hell does not exist yet. It will not exist until after the rapture when all will be judged. If you do read the bible than you know it's a sin to say anybody is going to hell for any reason. I love God more than most. You just misunderstood. Read that book again....
@Jheysoda thats not right to say that there isnt a real hell right now under the earth surface because there is there is many proofs out there someo f them will shock its about a woman giving birth to a demona nd u see the demon if demons exists hell exist also there is many more proofs like if you hear many testimonies of people that were in hell you hear them speak with similarities of what they saw.
@Littlefoot3559 God has not granted you the right to judge your fellow man. Should you continue down this path of arrogance, YOU will burn in hellfire. Only God may judge men, and you are not God.
@Littlefoot3559 Also, the Lord can and will forgive all sins, if we simply repent and ask it of him. You are giving Satan far, far too much credit, he is a non-factor if you have faith in the Lord.
I am one of the emotionally toughest men I believe I will ever meet but this man brings me to my knees. I cannot explain my sadness that someone who is this strong had to pass away. What a great person.
@1CasuConsulto Agreed. I believe the answer to the whole debate clearly lies to the thing he mentions in one of the videos. Without technology he wouldn't be able to sustain his life. Thus, if technology was not there he would have died probably sooner.
@snarkydoc cheers snarkydoc :-). Thats the point isnt it, when your perception is such that you belive your imortal soul is at stake, then people will do anything. The greater the stake the greater the "Zeal" these people have. All this fine, unfortunatly i am of the attitude of letting these people do what they want so long as they leave others who dont want to be like them alone.
@evayui I wish religious people were as moral, but its easier to get a cammel through the eye of a needle than get a true beliver to consider they might not have all the answers. The true begininng of wisdom is "I do not know" and the true beginning of morality is" i do not deserv to command others to be as me" , Respect to atheists and pitty to believers
@evayui I am a believer, but what you just spoke was wisdom. I certainly don't know what to make of this and honestly, I have no opinion if people want to take their own life. It is NOT my place or anyone's place to judge these people and their decision. ALL I know is that I probably couldn't do it. For my own personal reasons
@pamperedgurl Thanks for a polite comment back pamperedgurl. Most people with oposing view on religion tend do be very defensive. And your right its not about any person convincing another to do or not do it. Its just everybody should give everybody else the freedom to make their own decisions. Respect pamperedgurl
I cannot pretend that I know what it must be like for people who are deathly ill and in pain so cruel that they cannot live another day but I can imagine and my soul hurts for these people, I cryed for this man but not because he was dying but because I dont believe I could ever be so brave. I dont want people to read this and think that I am one way or the other on this, I just feel for those who suffer and commend those who are brave.
im an atheist but but imagine all people with sickness and people with problems commit suicide..have a friend he is fighting in cancer,he didn't commit suicide my aunt suffers in als she didn't commit suicide some people that we know suffers in sickness and problems they didn't commit suicide...life is sweet and tragic i want to experience my death not by suicide i want to feel how it hurts im gonna die like a man
@hatechinaandbuda Believe me, this man in the video is one of the bravest souls I know. I know I couldn't build enough courage to end my life in the way he did, so collect. He took an appropriate way out if he feels his choice was right, and shouldn't be judged by anyone now.
@hatechinaandbuda So people that partake in assisted suicide are lesser, then? Because they took the easier path out? They are less of a man/woman? What an ignorant thing to say.
@bob27f wow feel sorry for you m8. I wish you the best as well.
Craig is really an amazingly strong person.. I doubt I could pull something like this on my own.. but for some reason the thought of taking control over your death and choosing to go out peacefully is liberating.
I am a very conservative Christian. However, I completely agree that Craig had every right to make this decision and that the doctors have every right to say yea or nay. My heart aches for Mary and I pray that she is finding peace in her daily life. God bless everyone involved!
If you extract the man-made religion component out of this, one will see that its actually quite ideal for someone who is suffering. I wouldn't want Dignitas to help the other couple die together but in Craig Ewerts case, I see the logic. For all of those Bible pushing hypocrites that speak out about this procedure, you haven't a clue what these people go through. Its really easy to spew your holy doctrine and your bible verses when you have no idea whats really beyond this life. No one does.
I wanna die listening to my favorite music too. But singing your favorite songs while passing away is one of the most amazing and peaceful things I've heard.
While I agree with this man's right to make this decision and have this service, I wonder whether he would have chosen differently if he didn't have these wishful ideas of "journey", "the next life" and seeing each other again on the other side.
Brave man. Holding back tears, he should have let himself cry :( <3 I support assisted suicide. I'm pro choice, why do people think that only applies to abortion?!
@shorteylove There is a HUGE difference. If you're speaking of Christians against non Christians then it's easy enough. Christians do NOT believe in taking innocent life as in an abortion. We DO however feel that the punishment should fit the crime. If you kill several other people, and/or you are insane, then yeah, you should be put to death. It will do no good to keep you in society. You do not kill innocent people. This man never harmed a fly in his life. You don't own your body, God does.
@TwinSmoke okay let me get this right, basically you are saying this guy doesnt have a right to end/ prevent spending his life in misery whereas a criminal can be handed the easy way out via the death penalty over being sent to a life in prison. come off it. if god did exist why would an innocent man who "NEVER HARMED A FLY IN HIS LIFE" have to go through this. i think he should be respected for his incredibly brave decision. you own your body no one else.
@jalk3 Look man, even his wife said something to the effect of "It doesn't matter where he is now, he gave me alot of good memories.". That's because she's Catholic and he was Agnostic. Not to mention the fact that if that were my wife, I'd happily take care of her until the day she did die. If you listen to one of the earlier videos, Craig even said that "It will be a strain on my family". That's a retarted reason for wanting to kill yourself.
@TwinSmoke god did not create man , man created god. unfortunatly your "faith" is what is encoraged in your group. Faith means accepting something with no proof, or proof to the contrary. Your free to your own view however when you impose those views on others and tell them what to do , you are passsing judgement. OMG you have SINNED!!!! my paradym of, "it is your choice do as you will , i dont want you to suffer" is far supperior. I forgive you, you know what you do!!!!!!!
@evayui God did not create man? Are you serious? So then, you believe in the "big bang" theory. Anyone who believes in that crap is just ignorant. Not because they were born that way, but because they choose to be. If you'd like me to elaborate, I'd be happy to. But I can put that theory to shame any day.
@TwinSmoke . I choose to accept proof (IE something that can be proven not just stated so many times that some people will belive it). You unfortunatly do not realise the true nature of religion. You need it to stop yourself from crying at night when you realise there is no great meaning to all your suffering. It is the high of hubris (PRIDE) to assume that anybody who belives differently to yourself is ignorant. Please dissprove the big bang if you can I shall dissprove God!
@evayui Very well then. Scientists say that there are 7 known galaxies that are moving away from each other. That in some way implies a big bang. But EVERYTHING moves. Even rocks. If there WAS a big bang, then why is it I wonder that each of our 9 planets are made of something completely different. Didn't we all come from the same thing? Why is it that there are stars and even our sun that's 96 million miles away, but we are NOT on fire? Was the big bang only hot in some places? And if theory...
@evayui holds true about galaxies moving away from each other, then why is it that Neptune and Pluto are still in our solar system? They have almost NO gravitational pull on them what so ever. If everything is moving "outward" then those two planets should not be here anymore. Why is Earth the only planet with life? Mars is full of CO2 so why are there not trees there? Anything? Why are we the only planet with a PROVEN water system? I wonder why it is that we have BILLIONS.....
@evayui of different life forms if we all "evolved" from the same piece of material. Such as scientists say everything was before the big bang. If you believe in this theory than you ARE ignorant. I didn't say you were stupid. There's a difference. This is all common sense. I didn't do any research, but I have a mind of my own. I could elaborate even more, but unfortunately I am cooking right now. But by all means, disprove God.
@TwinSmoke Like i said before when a "NON believer" has a greater morality than a religious person its makes people wonder if religion is such a good thing.
@evayui The only Christian religion that does not contain more morality than a "NON believer" is Catholic. And I fortunately am not one. But I do have morals, and I live by those.
@TwinSmoke Im going to answer each of your questions in turn and refrain from making any personal insults, as I would like if you can to prove me wrong., I wonder if you can rise to the challenge of an intelligent debate on those terms??? ok You ask why are each of the nine planets are made up of very different materials.
@TwinSmoke The easiest way to explain this is to explain how elements combine to make molecules. Without going into the quantum level which quite frankly blows most peoples minds think of it like this. The smallest amount of any material you can have is an atom (element) IE Carbon, oxygen, nitrogen and so on(There is sub atomic particles but for this explanation you don’t need to understand this yet).
@TwinSmoke Under certain conditions (particularly high temperature and pressure) these atoms will combine to form Molecules (smallest amount of any material that is made up of 2 or more elements.) Many different materials are made up from varying combinations and proportions of these elements joined together at the molecular level. Coal, wood , graphite ,diamond are all forms of carbon. this explains how different “Materials” can come from the same source
@TwinSmoke However your right to ask was it hot in some places and colder in others. As simplistic as this sounds it is essentially correct. The second law (TRUTH) of thermodynamics states that energy will flow from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration via the path of least resistance until equilibrium is met.(Very simplified but Im trying to keep the language in common English when possible)
@TwinSmoke If you had a bath of cold water and then poured hot water in the centre , it would take time but eventually the temperature of the bath water throughout would become the same (or very very close). If you imagine as you would say the big bang in the centre with very high energy (thermal , kinetic, nuclear) and so on and the surrounding outside with lower energy . As the “Bang” expands the outer parts are very naturally going to be colder because of entropy. If needed i can explain more
@evayui Ok. Your inherant definition comes under some scrutiny. The bath water thing, you are specifically referring to convection. There is also something called conversion. Since none of our planets are touching, the bath water analogy is incorrect. But I need to read the rest of your posts.
@TwinSmoke You ask about the positioning of Neptune and Pluto. again this can be a very simple or complex explanation depending on how into it you want to go. Simply if you are in a car that Is travelling 60 miles an hour, relative to the seat that you are sat on you are still , but to the outside world you have a Delta V (difference in velocity) of 60 miles an hour.
@TwinSmoke So yes if the galaxies are moving that does not preclude the fact that the planets within the SOL solar will orbit around the gravity source (SUN) in this case and the only difference between earth and say Neptune is that relative to each other. Yes other gravity sources would affect the orbit of these bodies but the mass of a planet is so huge you would need a large gravity source for perceptible change.
@TwinSmoke You ask about life. Well to the best of our knowledge we are the only life in our solar system , that we have found!!! . Carbon based life (US) requires a certain set of conditions to exist. It is far more likely that carbon based life could exist on planets in other solar systems which meet those criteria. It is also a “Possibility” that life could be based upon another element under different conditions.
@TwinSmoke As for Evolution this has been proven and I can explain in great detail if needed how It works but I feel you already know this as this is on of the major problems religion faces. Simply, the best suited to any situation survive and are more likely to reproduce passing those characteristics onto the next generation. Over a long period of time it is to be expected that life will diversify (through mutation and natural selection) to meet different conditions.
@evayui Evolution is blantant theory. Nothing more. Again, there is no scientific data proving this theory. People have come up with the Yetti and Bigfoot in a feeble attempt at proving evolution. But the fact of the matter is this. If we DID come from primates, then ALL primates would have evolved into us. There would be no such thing as a monkey anymore. When something evolves, they ALL evolve. Not just some of them.
@TwinSmoke Finally I will disprove god. First of all it is useful to quantify what I mean by that. I mean a “INTELEGENT CREATOR” . Something that has designed and created reality with purpose and meaning. Firstly many different religions all have their idea of what “GOD” is and what his rules and meanings are. It is quite interesting to note that the paradigm of any religion changes to fit the requirements of the people at the time.
@TwinSmoke For example , Viking were required to die In battle , anything less and they did not get into Valhalla. This is because of their geography. Their land was to cold and inhospitable to many forms of plants so the only way they as a people could ever survive was to hunt , and invariably pillage others resources (btw which all races have done at some point).
@TwinSmoke So lets not disprove any particular religion lets go right for the heart of the matter the “Intelligent creator himself”. If (he,she,it) created reality with a purpose, to create reality god must be infinite and understand “EVERYTHING within that reality” as that is the only way to be able to create with purpose. If god is perfect and infinite why has the desired target not been met yet.
@TwinSmoke Why are we and reality not perfect at this point in time. Do we need time to become this way, if so then that is not perfection because if we need to move to perfection or whatever target this implies god could not make us that way , he had some limits, so he is not infinite.
@evayui God is infinate. He gave us the freedom of choice. He stated that under no circumstance would he interfere with our right to choose for ourselves. There is right and there is wrong. It's pretty simplistic. Yet not many people these days can even understand the difference anymore. It's actually quite sad.
@TwinSmoke This reality is full of suffering and your right about the Catholics they in particular would say its because of our sin. Ok then why is it in nature which is nothing to do with supposed human sin there are insects which capture their prey, paralyse them and lay eggs in them which eat the prey from the inside out. Those insects and creatures have not sinned and yet suffer horrible deaths.
@evayui Only humans have souls. Animals, no matter how badly some people want to believe they do, do NOT have a soul. However, technically speaking, there is absolutely no difference in insects eating each other and us slaughtering pigs, cows, goats, sheep and chickens. You do what you have to to survive.
@TwinSmoke Its abhorrent and cruel and unfair but its worth noting that abhorrence and beauty are exactly the same thing but observed red from entirely different precepts. I take it you are a Christian. If you take this next bit as an insult then im sorry but I would really like to hear a justification for this.
@TwinSmoke Catholic ministers and priests have been sexually assaulting young boys for many years. If god exists then he has allowed this. You cant blame it on Satan cause he is only and fallen Angel and less powerful than god (supposedly). Two people calling out to god , the priest who is raiping the child , and the child who is being assaulted. Which of them gets answered, the priest who gets his depraved pleasures.
@evayui Once again, God will not interfere with ones choices or actions. The bible states and I quote "Be fruitful and multiply". How are you supposed to do that if you cannot get married such as a priest or nun? Every single creature on the planet is sexual by nature. They ALL have a desire to reproduce. The Catholic church is absolutley WRONG about not letting their "teachers" marry. And yes, Satan is less powerful than God. However, he's more powerful than any of God's angels.
@TwinSmoke If god could not even stop this in any church then he is impotent or less moral than me and therefore again imperfect and incapable of creating a reality with purpose.
Whatever theology you use there will always be holes in it but religion will just defend its beliefs more vigorously. Science is big enough to admit “it gets it wrong” but after science learns, that’s the key difference. and most importantly my morality is superior to that of many religions because i let others choose
@evayui Think about it. If God controlled each and every one of us, then what glory could we ever hope for as in going to Heaven? God has his reasons why he does not controll us. And believe me, God knows I've made my share of mistakes. But I've learned from them and it's made me a much better person today. Some people never learn nor do they care.
@TwinSmoke The bath water example is precisely correct. Convection and conversion are two examples of transference of energy through different means however the law of entropy and thermodynamics explains this in far greater detail. You are stating that the space in between planets is completely null , which has no effect on surrounding matter and energy which is not true. It will affect energy and matter by having a different relative state. just like the hot and cold bath water.
@evayui Fortunately I fully understand big words. However, your examples do not explain in any way how the sun is only 96 million miles from us and we are not on fire. You failed to explain how if we WERE initiated or created billions or trillions of years ago, just how it is that our furthest planets are still in our solar system. Space is completely void of gravitational effects. Therefor, if the universe was created billions of years ago, the other solar systems should be so far away that....
@evayui we should not even be able to detect them anymore. The speed at which the other solar systems are moving do NOT imply that there was a big bang. If there was a big bang, now think about this... The massive size of that explosion should have our solar systems moving at well above the speed of light. Therefor, if a solar system was moving at the speed of light or beyond, we'd never be able to view them. That's Albert Einsteins theory.
@TwinSmoke I can guarantee you if you take a bottle of room temperature water in a insulating
holder into space, the moment you crack it open that water will freeze fairly quickly.
Size is not completely irrelevant but MASS is more important. if an object or material is more “dense” it will have a larger gravitational effect. Small object do orbit round larger ones,. Our sun has far more mass compared to the earth or any of the other planets and they orbit round he sun.
@evayui Now this is common sense. But you used two words that are ironic. "gravitational" and "round". Why is it that all of our planets are PERFECTLY round? Have you ever blown something up? Stuck a firecracker in the ground? When an explosion happens, things NEVER come out in any way that resembles anything round. They are jagged and odd shaped. It is not possible for our 9 planets to be perfectly round if the "big bang" really did happen.
@TwinSmoke There is proof of the “Possibility” not the definite existence of other elemental based life. Carbon allows life because of its ability to create various configurations of chains of itself and bond readily with other elements. Silicon has some similar characteristics. But even if you completely disregard that , there is nothing saying that carbon based life cannot exist outside our solar system.
@evayui I don't care about anything outside our solar system. I am using objects and theories closer to home. Things we can actually measure. You saying "proof of the "Possibility"" is an oximoron and makes no rational sense. I do not believe in aliens. If there were aliens and they are so advanced, they probably have a pretty good life wherever they're at. So why would they come here? But that's an entirely different debate which I can also prove as false.
@TwinSmoke Evolution is blatant fact and has been proven very robustly. So your saying that variations of the same root species cannot co-habitate. So why is not everybody one color, same color eye or hair , and so on. There is also proof of pro-generative species. not to mention the big elephant in the room DNA. Which again is robust undeniable proof.
@evayui Evolution is a blantant fact for people that believe in that, aliens, the yetti, ghosts and the Loch Ness Monster. I.e. live in dreamland. Evolution is NOT a fact. I stated previously that if we came from monkeys, than ALL monkeys would have evolved into us. Not just some of them. You have yet to even try to rebut that. In fact, all you have is theory. Not a single shred of anything factual that we evolved.
@TwinSmoke By desired target I mean anything that ANY particular religion decides is the “Goal”.
For you as a Christian it is to lead a “moral life” as set down by your bible. So all the Vikings go to hell because they read a different book , not to mention believers of other religion or non believers. A wise god would not have belief in a particular faith as a requisite for entry to heaven. That is again common to many religions.
@evayui The Vikings went to hell because they were murderers, theives and rapists, not because they believed they were right. But because they didn't care about being wrong. You said "A wise god would not have belief in a particular faith as a requisite for entry to heaven." So by that statement, I'll assume that you think that Adolf Hitler and Mother Theresa should be held to the same regard. Can you really not see just how flawed your beleif is? This is just common sense.
@TwinSmoke If god wants us to choose right from wrong they why predicate that choice on an entire system (reality) which is completely contrary and it is survival of the fittest. there is so much contradictory evidence against any particular theology not just yours. Evolution has no goal it just is a fact , such like gravity. The only true meaning is causality.
@TwinSmoke God chooses for some children to be born with horrific disfigurement and suffering. Hmmm yeah that’s the actions of a wise god. It isn’t Satan , you said yourself Satan is more powerful than the other angels but god is infinite. So why aint he stopping it (if he exists). from the bible “ask and thou shalt recieve” well those children dint ask for suffering did they? also if “thou eye offends thee , pluck it out” in other words ignore facts that are contrary to your teachings.
@evayui The bible does NOT say "thou eye offends thee, pluck it out". So that entire statement is moot. What it says is that if you "look at a woman in lust, pluck your eye out. It's better to be blind than spend eternity in Hell."
@TwinSmoke The soul thing is an interesting one which comes under the SOUL vs SENTIENCE debate. science may be able to disprove souls in the near future, ironically it is possible that science may be able to prove souls exist!!!!. If it does I will change my views, such is the wisdom of reason. But let me ask you, if science does prove souls don’t exists , will you change your views? religion is static and will not learn.
@evayui That is a pointless question. Science will NEVER prove that souls do not exist. In fact, I have my own theory on where the soul exists that I have told numerous people and cannot be explained away. For you to say "religion is static and will not learn" is an insult.
@TwinSmoke Its not that god is giving us free will, there is no god to give us will in the first place. The true nature of existence is causality. Any meaning we give to anything such as glory or horror or joy or despair is only relative to each person and their precept of which they observe reality.
@TwinSmoke I would like you to actually if you can prove to me god exists. What positive proof do you have that there is any supreme being or ever has been.
The problem is you cant prove the existence of god short of the great almighty making an appearance and demonstrating power. How convenient that all faiths say that the one true way of proving himself shall never be done apart from some event that may happen some time in the future. (which never comes)
@evayui Hmm, let's see. To start, how about the fact that we're here in the first place. Or how about the fact that people are not bland. There is good and evil in the world. So where does good and evil come from exactly? Why are we not all the same as far as actions and reactions? If there were no God, that's the way it would be.
@TwinSmoke You cant even prove that past events happened as described where as science can be proven over and over and over. Science may not have all the answers but it will admit that and when contrary proof is given science learns.
@evayui And YOU can't prove that the theory of evolution is in any way factual. Not even close. So before chastising me for not proving something, you MIGHT want to take a look in the mirror.
I have explained every single point you have put to me correctly and precisely, re-read my explanations, each of them is accurate. Unfortunately you may lack the pre requisite knowledge and dare I say wisdom to understand it. The problem for religious people with evolution is that it has been proven , it is fact , and for them this means they are descended from apes.
@evayui You have explained only from your narrow minded die hard phylosophy. Nothing more. You haven't shown any credible proof what so ever of your beliefs. Just theory.
@TwinSmoke Ape is animal without a soul so if I am descended from an ape It must have a soul or I do not. Your whole theology just crumbles like a deck of cards. If you wish to gain true esoteric knowledge of existence please study fact (and not the dogma of the church). If somebody answers your questions you cant just disregard them because they don’t fit what you want them too. sorry old chum , your descended from monkeys, take the blood and DNA test(oh yes evil acronym, DNA)
@evayui Your ape assertion is ridiculous. You are trying to combine what you stated and what I stated together. We did not come from ANY primate. The primates are still here. If we did evolve from them, then they would ALL be humans. Do you not get that? I don't know how to simplify it any more than that.
@TwinSmoke Your religion almost certainly provides you with some sort of comfort. Some people need the fairy tale stop themselves screaming in the dead of night. Im going leave you to your bible stroking because no matter how well I try to enlighten you , you wont learn because you perceive you have more to lose if im right (which unfortunately I am).
@evayui It provides me no more comfort than does yours. This has nothing at all to do with enlightening. You and I are the same. We each think that we are right. We will defend our beliefs no matter what any one person states. Both of our theologies we were not born with, it was learned over time. You use the word perceive and then try and blame me for not listening to you. But again we are the same. I explained the big bang and you wouldn't listen either. There is no difference.
@TwinSmoke Now this, class, is an example of a fucktard who knows literally nothing about evolution and natural selection but chooses to spew ignorant bullshit about it because he's been indoctrinated from birth into a primitive idiotic cult that promotes brainwashing and the abolition of science/facts/rationality! I do agree with you, however, on the point that we both believe our side is correct, and nothing we say will influence the other person otherwise.
@MassHero It took you 8 months to come up with this? But allow me to educate you. There is NO SUCH THING AS EVOLUTION! It is a theory brought about by scientists that try to prove on a daily basis that God does not exist. I've already PROVEN to you over and over again why evolution does not exist. If you choose to believe fairy tails, that's you're choice. ANY intelligent person would know better. And this is NOT about being "indoctrinated" inot anything. It's about me being more intelligent.
@TwinSmoke Wait, are you a troll? If not, then I can no longer reply to you because you're fucking insane. We don't know how we got here or how the universe was created, but the smartest minds of this world are hard at work trying to prove/disprove a multitude of hypothesis' and theories, including evolution and the big bang. I'd rather put my money on science, facts, and rationality rather than on a fairy tail that has NO EVIDENCE AT ALL EVER ANYWHERE to prove it real.
@MassHero A troll? Although I know you must have MUCH experience with this. What does this mean? But it's cool. You somehow feel the need to curse all throughought everything you say to try and STRESS your point, but all it does is make you look like an idiot which you obviously are. You can't explain how we got here. You want to continue your fruitless attempts at "stating" God doesn't exist. Well, good luck with that. There was no "big bang" you idiot.
@TwinSmoke I keep doing this. I keep letting my emotions get the better of me. I keep trying to argue with idiots on the internet. No matter how rational my argument is, they will always dismiss it. There's absolutely no point to talk to a brick wall. Goodbye, have fun wasting your life preparing for death. SPOILERSLOL: When you die, you die. Nothing else. Sorry :(
@MassHero Emotions? That's all you liberals have. Although it will NEVER be about anything good. You're just pissed that you can't prove me wrong, therefor, you reduce yourself to just cursing and belittling. How pathetic. I have almost a genius IQ and you'll NEVER beat me in any debate. But I'll stay here as long as you will. You've got nothing other than speculation. You really are pathetic.
Anyone who actually tries to point out his own IQ usually isn't all that bright. If you were actually bright, you would let your words show the intelligence instead. And everybody are born atheists. Religion is indoctrinated. There's tribes around the world who has never even heard of the concept of a god. Tribes without any folklore at all. That right there is proof that you're not born religious
@Darkeons My IQ is irrelevant. What IS relevant is the fact that I already STATED that we're not born this way. It's something learned. Apparently, you weren'y reading properly. But as I stated previously. If we didn't get on this Earth from God, then how did we get here? The other gentleman I was debating didn't have an answer. Do you? Because I promise you that if you bring up the "Big Bang", I'll bury you.
First of all, you brought up your own IQ, nobody else did. Before I answer your question, let me ask you one. You said the other gentleman didn't have an answer for it. Well..... Does that mean it must be a God? If I didn't know what thunder was, should i just go ahead and ASSUME that it's a god? If I didn't know what earthquakes was, should I go ahead and ASSUME it's God shaking the ground?
It doesn't matter if I or anyone else have the answer. It does NOT mean it's a god
@Darkeons So basically that means that you are not intellectual enough to know your own argument. If you want to try and PROVE there isn't a God, then do it. I'm wating. But you (I have no doubt will do what everyone else has) will start name calling, cursing and belittling when you can not come up with an answer if your own. Yet, I'm still waiting. Bring all the knowledge you have, I'll sink you every SINGLE time. Don't talk about earthquakes and thunder LOL. Bring something real.
@TwinSmoke I refuse to believe anyone can be this ignorant. Who has the burden of proof? Is it not the one making the claim? If i said i had a magic dragon in my basement that granted me 3 wishes every single day, would it be your job to disprove it? Of course not... now stop being so silly, and provide proof of the claims you make. All you're saying is "Well!!! i don't know what it is.. soo.. ummm.. duuuh.,. IT MUST BE GOD!"..
Yes okay.... VERY GOOD ARGUMENT. You clearly have a high IQ
@Darkeons You're an idiot and I refuse to continue this dialogue with you any further. You are very simple minded which in turn would make YOU the ignorant one. Your rationale is ridiculous.
@TwinSmoke Hehe. I expected an answer like that. Suddenly you found someone who you couldn't bully around with nonsense? The truth is you don't have a rebuttal for what I said, so you decided to put your tail between your legs and run away. It's a wise decision though, because you're clearly outmatched. If you find this post provocative, feel free to come back and answer the question from my previous post
@Darkeons You refuse to explain how we got here if there is no God. You want to be ridiculous and associate this with a "magic dragon". You want to add quotation marks to your statement from which is something I never came close to saying. But I'm used to it. That's what you sink down to when you have no proof, ideas or theories of your own.
Again. please.. this is not third class okay? The burden of proof is on the one making the claim. Do you agree or disagree with that statement?
God is not the default. Not being able to explain something does not mean that then it MUST be a god. If I find 100$ in my pocket that I don't know how got there, that doesn't mean it's God who put it there. If you claim God put it there, then you have to PROVE that it was actually God. And the same counts for our existance
@TwinSmoke Hi Twinsmoke, I'd like to tell you that your claim: "if primates evolve, they all evolve together into humans" is wrong. Why would they have to all evolve together? It's proven that a species of monkeys found on madagascar(MAD) were thoroughly similar to another one in mozambique, which is the closest country to MAD, but is on mainland africa. Only the ones on MAD had longer index fingers specifically for digging worms as they were the main source of food there. evolun in action man
@TwinSmoke Darkeons unfortunately, for you, makes a very valid point about where the burden of proof lies. If you cannot understand that, i highly question your intelligence.
@zaphr89 I think you should question your own intelligence. I asked him for his beliefs and he cannot give it to me. All he does is spout off rhetoric. If you find that his rhetoric "is where the burden of proof lies" then I don't need to question your intelligence. That would make it a fact within it's self that there is no question that you just aren't smart enough to try and continue this debate.
@TwinSmoke Every human being is born an atheist. You were introduced (indoctrinated, rather) into believing in something VERY similar to Santa Claus. You don't still believe in him, do you? If you do, kiddo, then I got news to break to you. He ain't real. Neither is God. You are told if you're naughty you get coal, if you're nice you get presents. With God, if you're bad you get hell and suffering, if you're good you get paradise. See the similarities? 8 months? And you haven't proven shit.
@MassHero Every human being is NOT born an atheist. That is something that is taught, not an instinct. I would never expect someone as simple minded as you to understand. But if you really want to compare your life to your own, then think about this. I've been a member of Mensa for 8 years. I've been saving lives for 19 years and have graduated college twice with honors. What have you done lately?
@TwinSmoke If anything, religion is one giant metaphor to teach the primitive idiots of WAY back when not to kill each other. Then it evolved into a form of mass control and money making scheme. If you take the Bible as literal fact- you are an idiot. If you believe there is a giant invisible man in the sky watching EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE PLANET, allowing children to be raped and starved, allowing heinous torture and bigotry and oppression and war and pain and suffering, then you are moronic.
@MassHero He watches everything, he does NOT control everything. He gave us free will. Those that have sinned will pay and those that have been sinned against will prosper. You truly are stupid if you cannot tell the difference between right and wrong or innocence and blasphemy. I would never expect an Obama supporter to know the difference and it's ok. We all realize that we have autistic people in our population and I'm sorry for you. But hopefully one day counselling will guide you.
@TwinSmoke One final point, which you might be able to learn from because it doesn’t affect your religious sensibilities. You say you understand big words. I wasn’t trying to put you down or make you look silly , if I had wanted to do that I could have used Quantum level explanations , abstract mathematics and many other concepts which you almost certainly will have no knowledge of as its “FORBIDDEN” truth.
@evayui I know math. I hate it, but I know it. As far as "Quantum level explanations". Bring it on. That's something I understand VERY well. But you can assume all day long that you somehow know me better than I know myself.
@TwinSmoke If you feel insecure in yourself study truth and feel better. Besides your religion makes you look silly all by itself. Anyways ive got to go and see the tooth fairy about some money. bye byes
@evayui Insecure? Hmmm. I'm not insecure about anything. But nice try at a non cursing cut down. As far as looking silly, look at yourself. You actually think we came from monkeys lol. About the tooth fairy, I have no doubt about that. You probably regularly speak to pink elephants. But whatever.
@TwinSmoke its apes, not monkeys. and evolution doesn't say we "came from" apes, as if we used to be them. we share a common ancestor, which itself was different to the modern ape. if youre going to mock evolution at least have the decency to know the basics of it
@SmashedUpFetus Oh, I get it. You're going to try and tell me that we have a "common" ancestor. So when evolution came about, that "common ancestor" split. Half of them became apes while the other half became human? Do you have any idea just how ridiculous that sounds?
@TwinSmoke yes one day they got bored of being what they were, and one day they all walked into a magic closet and precisely half of them came out as apes, and the other half came out as humans, and theyve been precisely the same ever since, because everything happens in timeframes and on scales that humans can grasp easily, didnt you know?
no, im joking, that would be silly. the man in the sky made it happen
@SmashedUpFetus The man in the sky had nothing to do with evolution because it never happened. It's just an easier way for people that want to believe there is no God so they don't feel remorseful about their actions. Science wants to believe and teach evolution even though there is absolutely no proof of it what so ever. Scientists believe that you only believe in what you can taste, see, smell, touch or hear. But religion and evolution are the same. There is no proof that either exist.
@TwinSmoke hm belief in evolution isnt antithetical to believe in god, youre using the word "proof" in place of "evidence" which confuses everything seeing as all inductive sciences are based on modelling and supportive evidence, and your armchair analysis of why people believe in evolution is badly oversimplifying the way belief works, and making a pretty ridiculous generalisation. and no scientist i ever met thought that only sensory perception was valid basis for believing something. you fail
@SmashedUpFetus That's right. Just wine moan and complain. Don't offer any "evidence" or "proof" of anything, yet continue to believe that you're correct although I've already proven your theory wrong. If you want to add something to the conversation, then don't just complain, prove me wrong. But ofcourse you can't do that. Therefor, you fail.
@TwinSmoke i dont think you actually know what the word "proof" means. not kidding. proof, evidence, two different things. you didnt actually reply to anything i said either lol. and its "whine". oh dear
what a brave man

i think that both god and evolution both have not been proven... and the fact that ppl argue back and forth is a bit much, we shoulded push our beliefs on others... a scientific person would not like a godly man to preach to him, just as a godly man would not like the same... in this matter I think its just a "let a person feel as they feel" cause I dont know that God is real just as I don't know if the big bang happend.. the truth is there is no one that has lived that long to tell us the deal.

Jheysoda 9 months ago
@Jheysoda you think i judged him there is much proof out there that heaven and hell exists not just the words of the bible but many proofs books documentaries videos articles and also many more evidence it seems like you abandoned god and christianity just for that silly reason "it was written by man" its because u hate god in ur heart i did think like you once but i found much more evidence than i could ask for. for this man i havve sympathy for him because he might be in hell no offence.
Littlefoot3559 9 months ago
@Littlefoot3559 You misunderstood. What I mean by written by man is that it's fallible not like God who is infallible. There has never been any PROOF of heaven or hell and especially not hell. Do you know why? It's because hell does not exist yet. It will not exist until after the rapture when all will be judged. If you do read the bible than you know it's a sin to say anybody is going to hell for any reason. I love God more than most. You just misunderstood. Read that book again....
Jheysoda 9 months ago
@Jheysoda thats not right to say that there isnt a real hell right now under the earth surface because there is there is many proofs out there someo f them will shock its about a woman giving birth to a demona nd u see the demon if demons exists hell exist also there is many more proofs like if you hear many testimonies of people that were in hell you hear them speak with similarities of what they saw.

@evayui I wish religious people were as moral, but its easier to get a cammel through the eye of a needle than get a true beliver to consider they might not have all the answers. If you extract the man-made religion component out of this, one will see that its actually quite ideal for someone who is suffering. I wouldn't want Dignitas to help the other couple die together but in Craig Ewerts case, I see the logic. For all of those Bible pushing hypocrites that speak out about this procedure, you haven't a clue what these people go through. masencullen 1 year ago
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke okay let me get this right, basically you are saying this guy doesnt have a right to end/ prevent spending his life in misery whereas a criminal can be handed the easy way out via the death penalty over being sent to a life in prison. come off it. if god did exist why would an innocent man who "NEVER HARMED A FLY IN HIS LIFE" have to go through this. i think he should be respected for his incredibly brave decision. you own your body no one else.
jalk3 1 year ago
@jalk3 Look man, even his wife said something to the effect of "It doesn't matter where he is now, he gave me alot of good memories.". That's because she's Catholic and he was Agnostic. Not to mention the fact that if that were my wife, I'd happily take care of her until the day she did die. If you listen to one of the earlier videos, Craig even said that "It will be a strain on my family". That's a retarted reason for wanting to kill yourself.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke god did not create man , man created god. unfortunatly your "faith" is what is encoraged in your group. Faith means accepting something with no proof, or proof to the contrary. Your free to your own view however when you impose those views on others and tell them what to do , you are passsing judgement. OMG you have SINNED!!!! my paradym of, "it is your choice do as you will , i dont want you to suffer" is far supperior. I forgive you, you know what you do!!!!!!!
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui God did not create man? Are you serious? So then, you believe in the "big bang" theory. Anyone who believes in that crap is just ignorant. Not because they were born that way, but because they choose to be. If you'd like me to elaborate, I'd be happy to. But I can put that theory to shame any day.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke . I choose to accept proof (IE something that can be proven not just stated so many times that some people will belive it). You unfortunatly do not realise the true nature of religion. You need it to stop yourself from crying at night when you realise there is no great meaning to all your suffering. It is the high of hubris (PRIDE) to assume that anybody who belives differently to yourself is ignorant. Please dissprove the big bang if you can I shall dissprove God!
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Very well then. Scientists say that there are 7 known galaxies that are moving away from each other. That in some way implies a big bang. But EVERYTHING moves. Even rocks. If there WAS a big bang, then why is it I wonder that each of our 9 planets are made of something completely different. Didn't we all come from the same thing? Why is it that there are stars and even our sun that's 96 million miles away, but we are NOT on fire? Was the big bang only hot in some places? And if theory...
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@evayui holds true about galaxies moving away from each other, then why is it that Neptune and Pluto are still in our solar system? They have almost NO gravitational pull on them what so ever. If everything is moving "outward" then those two planets should not be here anymore. Why is Earth the only planet with life? Mars is full of CO2 so why are there not trees there? Anything? Why are we the only planet with a PROVEN water system? I wonder why it is that we have BILLIONS.....
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@evayui of different life forms if we all "evolved" from the same piece of material. Such as scientists say everything was before the big bang. If you believe in this theory than you ARE ignorant. I didn't say you were stupid. There's a difference. This is all common sense. I didn't do any research, but I have a mind of my own. I could elaborate even more, but unfortunately I am cooking right now. But by all means, disprove God.

TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Im going to answer each of your questions in turn and refrain from making any personal insults, as I would like if you can to prove me wrong., I wonder if you can rise to the challenge of an intelligent debate on those terms??? ok You ask why are each of the nine planets are made up of very different materials.
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke The easiest way to explain this is to explain how elements combine to make molecules. Without going into the quantum level which quite frankly blows most peoples minds think of it like this. The smallest amount of any material you can have is an atom (element) IE Carbon, oxygen, nitrogen and so on(There is sub atomic particles but for this explanation you don’t need to understand this yet).
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Under certain conditions (particularly high temperature and pressure) these atoms will combine to form Molecules (smallest amount of any material that is made up of 2 or more elements.) Many different materials are made up from varying combinations and proportions of these elements joined together at the molecular level. Coal, wood , graphite ,diamond are all forms of carbon. this explains how different “Materials” can come from the same source
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke However your right to ask was it hot in some places and colder in others. As simplistic as this sounds it is essentially correct. The second law (TRUTH) of thermodynamics states that energy will flow from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration via the path of least resistance until equilibrium is met.(Very simplified but Im trying to keep the language in common English when possible)
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke If you had a bath of cold water and then poured hot water in the centre , it would take time but eventually the temperature of the bath water throughout would become the same (or very very close). If you imagine as you would say the big bang in the centre with very high energy (thermal , kinetic, nuclear) and so on and the surrounding outside with lower energy . As the “Bang” expands the outer parts are very naturally going to be colder because of entropy. If needed i can explain more
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Ok. Your inherant definition comes under some scrutiny. The bath water thing, you are specifically referring to convection. There is also something called conversion. Since none of our planets are touching, the bath water analogy is incorrect. But I need to read the rest of your posts.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke You ask about the positioning of Neptune and Pluto. again this can be a very simple or complex explanation depending on how into it you want to go. Simply if you are in a car that Is travelling 60 miles an hour, relative to the seat that you are sat on you are still , but to the outside world you have a Delta V (difference in velocity) of 60 miles an hour.
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke So yes if the galaxies are moving that does not preclude the fact that the planets within the SOL solar will orbit around the gravity source (SUN) in this case and the only difference between earth and say Neptune is that relative to each other. Yes other gravity sources would affect the orbit of these bodies but the mass of a planet is so huge you would need a large gravity source for perceptible change.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui The planets are not larger than the other solar systems out there that are "moving away". Therefor, size is irrelevant.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke You ask about life. Well to the best of our knowledge we are the only life in our solar system , that we have found!!! . Carbon based life (US) requires a certain set of conditions to exist. It is far more likely that carbon based life could exist on planets in other solar systems which meet those criteria. It is also a “Possibility” that life could be based upon another element under different conditions.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui "Possibility" Are you sure? There is absolutely no scientific data what so ever that a non carbon based life form can exist.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke As for Evolution this has been proven and I can explain in great detail if needed how It works but I feel you already know this as this is on of the major problems religion faces. Simply, the best suited to any situation survive and are more likely to reproduce passing those characteristics onto the next generation. Over a long period of time it is to be expected that life will diversify (through mutation and natural selection) to meet different conditions.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Evolution is blantant theory. Nothing more. Again, there is no scientific data proving this theory. People have come up with the Yetti and Bigfoot in a feeble attempt at proving evolution. But the fact of the matter is this. If we DID come from primates, then ALL primates would have evolved into us. There would be no such thing as a monkey anymore. When something evolves, they ALL evolve. Not just some of them.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Finally I will disprove god. First of all it is useful to quantify what I mean by that. I mean a “INTELEGENT CREATOR” . Something that has designed and created reality with purpose and meaning. Firstly many different religions all have their idea of what “GOD” is and what his rules and meanings are. It is quite interesting to note that the paradigm of any religion changes to fit the requirements of the people at the time.
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke For example , Viking were required to die In battle , anything less and they did not get into Valhalla. This is because of their geography. Their land was to cold and inhospitable to many forms of plants so the only way they as a people could ever survive was to hunt , and invariably pillage others resources (btw which all races have done at some point).
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke So lets not disprove any particular religion lets go right for the heart of the matter the “Intelligent creator himself”. If (he,she,it) created reality with a purpose, to create reality god must be infinite and understand “EVERYTHING within that reality” as that is the only way to be able to create with purpose. If god is perfect and infinite why has the desired target not been met yet.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui And by desired target, you mean exactly what?
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Why are we and reality not perfect at this point in time. Do we need time to become this way, if so then that is not perfection because if we need to move to perfection or whatever target this implies god could not make us that way , he had some limits, so he is not infinite.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui God is infinate. He gave us the freedom of choice. He stated that under no circumstance would he interfere with our right to choose for ourselves. There is right and there is wrong. It's pretty simplistic. Yet not many people these days can even understand the difference anymore. It's actually quite sad.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke This reality is full of suffering and your right about the Catholics they in particular would say its because of our sin. Ok then why is it in nature which is nothing to do with supposed human sin there are insects which capture their prey, paralyse them and lay eggs in them which eat the prey from the inside out. Those insects and creatures have not sinned and yet suffer horrible deaths.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Only humans have souls. Animals, no matter how badly some people want to believe they do, do NOT have a soul. However, technically speaking, there is absolutely no difference in insects eating each other and us slaughtering pigs, cows, goats, sheep and chickens. You do what you have to to survive.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Its abhorrent and cruel and unfair but its worth noting that abhorrence and beauty are exactly the same thing but observed red from entirely different precepts. I take it you are a Christian. If you take this next bit as an insult then im sorry but I would really like to hear a justification for this.
evayui 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Catholic ministers and priests have been sexually assaulting young boys for many years. If god exists then he has allowed this. You cant blame it on Satan cause he is only and fallen Angel and less powerful than god (supposedly). Two people calling out to god , the priest who is raiping the child , and the child who is being assaulted. Which of them gets answered, the priest who gets his depraved pleasures.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Once again, God will not interfere with ones choices or actions. The bible states and I quote "Be fruitful and multiply". How are you supposed to do that if you cannot get married such as a priest or nun? Every single creature on the planet is sexual by nature. They ALL have a desire to reproduce. The Catholic church is absolutley WRONG about not letting their "teachers" marry. And yes, Satan is less powerful than God. However, he's more powerful than any of God's angels.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke If god could not even stop this in any church then he is impotent or less moral than me and therefore again imperfect and incapable of creating a reality with purpose.
Whatever theology you use there will always be holes in it but religion will just defend its beliefs more vigorously. Science is big enough to admit “it gets it wrong” but after science learns, that’s the key difference. and most importantly my morality is superior to that of many religions because i let others choose
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Think about it. If God controlled each and every one of us, then what glory could we ever hope for as in going to Heaven? God has his reasons why he does not controll us. And believe me, God knows I've made my share of mistakes. But I've learned from them and it's made me a much better person today. Some people never learn nor do they care.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke The bath water example is precisely correct. Convection and conversion are two examples of transference of energy through different means however the law of entropy and thermodynamics explains this in far greater detail. You are stating that the space in between planets is completely null , which has no effect on surrounding matter and energy which is not true. It will affect energy and matter by having a different relative state. just like the hot and cold bath water.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Fortunately I fully understand big words. However, your examples do not explain in any way how the sun is only 96 million miles from us and we are not on fire. You failed to explain how if we WERE initiated or created billions or trillions of years ago, just how it is that our furthest planets are still in our solar system. Space is completely void of gravitational effects. Therefor, if the universe was created billions of years ago, the other solar systems should be so far away that....
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@evayui we should not even be able to detect them anymore. The speed at which the other solar systems are moving do NOT imply that there was a big bang. If there was a big bang, now think about this... The massive size of that explosion should have our solar systems moving at well above the speed of light. Therefor, if a solar system was moving at the speed of light or beyond, we'd never be able to view them. That's Albert Einsteins theory.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke I can guarantee you if you take a bottle of room temperature water in a insulating
holder into space, the moment you crack it open that water will freeze fairly quickly.
Size is not completely irrelevant but MASS is more important. if an object or material is more “dense” it will have a larger gravitational effect. Small object do orbit round larger ones,. Our sun has far more mass compared to the earth or any of the other planets and they orbit round he sun.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Now this is common sense. But you used two words that are ironic. "gravitational" and "round". Why is it that all of our planets are PERFECTLY round? Have you ever blown something up? Stuck a firecracker in the ground? When an explosion happens, things NEVER come out in any way that resembles anything round. They are jagged and odd shaped. It is not possible for our 9 planets to be perfectly round if the "big bang" really did happen.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke There is proof of the “Possibility” not the definite existence of other elemental based life. Carbon allows life because of its ability to create various configurations of chains of itself and bond readily with other elements. Silicon has some similar characteristics. But even if you completely disregard that , there is nothing saying that carbon based life cannot exist outside our solar system.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui I don't care about anything outside our solar system. I am using objects and theories closer to home. Things we can actually measure. You saying "proof of the "Possibility"" is an oximoron and makes no rational sense. I do not believe in aliens. If there were aliens and they are so advanced, they probably have a pretty good life wherever they're at. So why would they come here? But that's an entirely different debate which I can also prove as false.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Evolution is blatant fact and has been proven very robustly. So your saying that variations of the same root species cannot co-habitate. So why is not everybody one color, same color eye or hair , and so on. There is also proof of pro-generative species. not to mention the big elephant in the room DNA. Which again is robust undeniable proof.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Evolution is a blantant fact for people that believe in that, aliens, the yetti, ghosts and the Loch Ness Monster. I.e. live in dreamland. Evolution is NOT a fact. I stated previously that if we came from monkeys, than ALL monkeys would have evolved into us. Not just some of them. You have yet to even try to rebut that. In fact, all you have is theory. Not a single shred of anything factual that we evolved.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke By desired target I mean anything that ANY particular religion decides is the “Goal”.
For you as a Christian it is to lead a “moral life” as set down by your bible. So all the Vikings go to hell because they read a different book , not to mention believers of other religion or non believers. A wise god would not have belief in a particular faith as a requisite for entry to heaven. That is again common to many religions.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui The Vikings went to hell because they were murderers, theives and rapists, not because they believed they were right. But because they didn't care about being wrong. You said "A wise god would not have belief in a particular faith as a requisite for entry to heaven." So by that statement, I'll assume that you think that Adolf Hitler and Mother Theresa should be held to the same regard. Can you really not see just how flawed your beleif is? This is just common sense.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke If god wants us to choose right from wrong they why predicate that choice on an entire system (reality) which is completely contrary and it is survival of the fittest. there is so much contradictory evidence against any particular theology not just yours. Evolution has no goal it just is a fact , such like gravity. The only true meaning is causality.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui And I'll still wait for you to prove to me that evolution is a fact. So far all you've stated is theory and hypothesis'.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke God chooses for some children to be born with horrific disfigurement and suffering. Hmmm yeah that’s the actions of a wise god. It isn’t Satan , you said yourself Satan is more powerful than the other angels but god is infinite. So why aint he stopping it (if he exists). from the bible “ask and thou shalt recieve” well those children dint ask for suffering did they? also if “thou eye offends thee , pluck it out” in other words ignore facts that are contrary to your teachings.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui The bible does NOT say "thou eye offends thee, pluck it out". So that entire statement is moot. What it says is that if you "look at a woman in lust, pluck your eye out. It's better to be blind than spend eternity in Hell."
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke The soul thing is an interesting one which comes under the SOUL vs SENTIENCE debate. science may be able to disprove souls in the near future, ironically it is possible that science may be able to prove souls exist!!!!. If it does I will change my views, such is the wisdom of reason. But let me ask you, if science does prove souls don’t exists , will you change your views? religion is static and will not learn.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui That is a pointless question. Science will NEVER prove that souls do not exist. In fact, I have my own theory on where the soul exists that I have told numerous people and cannot be explained away. For you to say "religion is static and will not learn" is an insult.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Its not that god is giving us free will, there is no god to give us will in the first place. The true nature of existence is causality. Any meaning we give to anything such as glory or horror or joy or despair is only relative to each person and their precept of which they observe reality.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Believe whatever you want. On the day you die, you will realize that God DOES exist.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke I would like you to actually if you can prove to me god exists. What positive proof do you have that there is any supreme being or ever has been.
The problem is you cant prove the existence of god short of the great almighty making an appearance and demonstrating power. How convenient that all faiths say that the one true way of proving himself shall never be done apart from some event that may happen some time in the future. (which never comes)
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Hmm, let's see. To start, how about the fact that we're here in the first place. Or how about the fact that people are not bland. There is good and evil in the world. So where does good and evil come from exactly? Why are we not all the same as far as actions and reactions? If there were no God, that's the way it would be.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke You cant even prove that past events happened as described where as science can be proven over and over and over. Science may not have all the answers but it will admit that and when contrary proof is given science learns.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui And YOU can't prove that the theory of evolution is in any way factual. Not even close. So before chastising me for not proving something, you MIGHT want to take a look in the mirror.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke oh where to begin?
I have explained every single point you have put to me correctly and precisely, re-read my explanations, each of them is accurate. Unfortunately you may lack the pre requisite knowledge and dare I say wisdom to understand it. The problem for religious people with evolution is that it has been proven , it is fact , and for them this means they are descended from apes.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui You have explained only from your narrow minded die hard phylosophy. Nothing more. You haven't shown any credible proof what so ever of your beliefs. Just theory.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Ape is animal without a soul so if I am descended from an ape It must have a soul or I do not. Your whole theology just crumbles like a deck of cards. If you wish to gain true esoteric knowledge of existence please study fact (and not the dogma of the church). If somebody answers your questions you cant just disregard them because they don’t fit what you want them too. sorry old chum , your descended from monkeys, take the blood and DNA test(oh yes evil acronym, DNA)
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Your ape assertion is ridiculous. You are trying to combine what you stated and what I stated together. We did not come from ANY primate. The primates are still here. If we did evolve from them, then they would ALL be humans. Do you not get that? I don't know how to simplify it any more than that.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke Your religion almost certainly provides you with some sort of comfort. Some people need the fairy tale stop themselves screaming in the dead of night. Im going leave you to your bible stroking because no matter how well I try to enlighten you , you wont learn because you perceive you have more to lose if im right (which unfortunately I am).
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui It provides me no more comfort than does yours. This has nothing at all to do with enlightening. You and I are the same. We each think that we are right. We will defend our beliefs no matter what any one person states. Both of our theologies we were not born with, it was learned over time. You use the word perceive and then try and blame me for not listening to you. But again we are the same. I explained the big bang and you wouldn't listen either. There is no difference.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago 5
@TwinSmoke Now this, class, is an example of a fucktard who knows literally nothing about evolution and natural selection but chooses to spew ignorant bullshit about it because he's been indoctrinated from birth into a primitive idiotic cult that promotes brainwashing and the abolition of science/facts/rationality! I do agree with you, however, on the point that we both believe our side is correct, and nothing we say will influence the other person otherwise.
MassHero 9 months ago
@MassHero It took you 8 months to come up with this? But allow me to educate you. There is NO SUCH THING AS EVOLUTION! It is a theory brought about by scientists that try to prove on a daily basis that God does not exist. I've already PROVEN to you over and over again why evolution does not exist. If you choose to believe fairy tails, that's you're choice. ANY intelligent person would know better. And this is NOT about being "indoctrinated" inot anything. It's about me being more intelligent.
TwinSmoke 9 months ago
@TwinSmoke Wait, are you a troll? If not, then I can no longer reply to you because you're fucking insane. We don't know how we got here or how the universe was created, but the smartest minds of this world are hard at work trying to prove/disprove a multitude of hypothesis' and theories, including evolution and the big bang. I'd rather put my money on science, facts, and rationality rather than on a fairy tail that has NO EVIDENCE AT ALL EVER ANYWHERE to prove it real.
MassHero 9 months ago
@MassHero A troll? Although I know you must have MUCH experience with this. What does this mean? But it's cool. You somehow feel the need to curse all throughought everything you say to try and STRESS your point, but all it does is make you look like an idiot which you obviously are. You can't explain how we got here. You want to continue your fruitless attempts at "stating" God doesn't exist. Well, good luck with that. There was no "big bang" you idiot.
TwinSmoke 9 months ago
@TwinSmoke I keep doing this. I keep letting my emotions get the better of me. I keep trying to argue with idiots on the internet. No matter how rational my argument is, they will always dismiss it. There's absolutely no point to talk to a brick wall. Goodbye, have fun wasting your life preparing for death. SPOILERSLOL: When you die, you die. Nothing else. Sorry :(
MassHero 9 months ago
@MassHero Emotions? That's all you liberals have. Although it will NEVER be about anything good. You're just pissed that you can't prove me wrong, therefor, you reduce yourself to just cursing and belittling. How pathetic. I have almost a genius IQ and you'll NEVER beat me in any debate. But I'll stay here as long as you will. You've got nothing other than speculation. You really are pathetic.
TwinSmoke 9 months ago
@TwinSmoke
Darkeons 8 months ago
@Darkeons My IQ is irrelevant. What IS relevant is the fact that I already STATED that we're not born this way. It's something learned. Apparently, you weren'y reading properly. But as I stated previously. If we didn't get on this Earth from God, then how did we get here? The other gentleman I was debating didn't have an answer. Do you? Because I promise you that if you bring up the "Big Bang", I'll bury you.
TwinSmoke 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke
Darkeons 8 months ago
@Darkeons So basically that means that you are not intellectual enough to know your own argument. If you want to try and PROVE there isn't a God, then do it. I'm wating. But you (I have no doubt will do what everyone else has) will start name calling, cursing and belittling when you can not come up with an answer if your own. Yet, I'm still waiting. Bring all the knowledge you have, I'll sink you every SINGLE time. Don't talk about earthquakes and thunder LOL. Bring something real.
TwinSmoke 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke I refuse to believe anyone can be this ignorant. Who has the burden of proof? Is it not the one making the claim? If i said i had a magic dragon in my basement that granted me 3 wishes every single day, would it be your job to disprove it? Of course not... now stop being so silly, and provide proof of the claims you make. All you're saying is "Well!!! i don't know what it is.. soo.. ummm.. duuuh.,. IT MUST BE GOD!"..
Yes okay.... VERY GOOD ARGUMENT. You clearly have a high IQ
Darkeons 8 months ago
@Darkeons You're an idiot and I refuse to continue this dialogue with you any further. You are very simple minded which in turn would make YOU the ignorant one. Your rationale is ridiculous.
TwinSmoke 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke Hehe. I expected an answer like that. Suddenly you found someone who you couldn't bully around with nonsense? The truth is you don't have a rebuttal for what I said, so you decided to put your tail between your legs and run away. It's a wise decision though, because you're clearly outmatched. If you find this post provocative, feel free to come back and answer the question from my previous post
I take your comment as a forfeit
Darkeons 8 months ago
@Darkeons You refuse to explain how we got here if there is no God. You want to be ridiculous and associate this with a "magic dragon". You want to add quotation marks to your statement from which is something I never came close to saying. But I'm used to it. That's what you sink down to when you have no proof, ideas or theories of your own.
TwinSmoke 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke
Again. please.. this is not third class okay? The burden of proof is on the one making the claim. Do you agree or disagree with that statement?
God is not the default. Not being able to explain something does not mean that then it MUST be a god. If I find 100$ in my pocket that I don't know how got there, that doesn't mean it's God who put it there. If you claim God put it there, then you have to PROVE that it was actually God. And the same counts for our existance
Darkeons 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke Hi Twinsmoke, I'd like to tell you that your claim: "if primates evolve, they all evolve together into humans" is wrong. Why would they have to all evolve together? It's proven that a species of monkeys found on madagascar(MAD) were thoroughly similar to another one in mozambique, which is the closest country to MAD, but is on mainland africa. Only the ones on MAD had longer index fingers specifically for digging worms as they were the main source of food there. evolun in action man
kausticpotash 8 months ago 2
@TwinSmoke Darkeons unfortunately, for you, makes a very valid point about where the burden of proof lies. If you cannot understand that, i highly question your intelligence.
zaphr89 4 months ago
@zaphr89 I think you should question your own intelligence. I asked him for his beliefs and he cannot give it to me. All he does is spout off rhetoric. If you find that his rhetoric "is where the burden of proof lies" then I don't need to question your intelligence. That would make it a fact within it's self that there is no question that you just aren't smart enough to try and continue this debate.
TwinSmoke 4 months ago
@TwinSmoke Every human being is born an atheist. You were introduced (indoctrinated, rather) into believing in something VERY similar to Santa Claus. You don't still believe in him, do you? If you do, kiddo, then I got news to break to you. He ain't real. Neither is God. You are told if you're naughty you get coal, if you're nice you get presents. With God, if you're bad you get hell and suffering, if you're good you get paradise. See the similarities? 8 months? And you haven't proven shit.
MassHero 9 months ago
@MassHero Every human being is NOT born an atheist. That is something that is taught, not an instinct. I would never expect someone as simple minded as you to understand. But if you really want to compare your life to your own, then think about this. I've been a member of Mensa for 8 years. I've been saving lives for 19 years and have graduated college twice with honors. What have you done lately?
TwinSmoke 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke If anything, religion is one giant metaphor to teach the primitive idiots of WAY back when not to kill each other. Then it evolved into a form of mass control and money making scheme. If you take the Bible as literal fact- you are an idiot. If you believe there is a giant invisible man in the sky watching EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE PLANET, allowing children to be raped and starved, allowing heinous torture and bigotry and oppression and war and pain and suffering, then you are moronic.
MassHero 9 months ago
@MassHero He watches everything, he does NOT control everything. He gave us free will. Those that have sinned will pay and those that have been sinned against will prosper. You truly are stupid if you cannot tell the difference between right and wrong or innocence and blasphemy. I would never expect an Obama supporter to know the difference and it's ok. We all realize that we have autistic people in our population and I'm sorry for you. But hopefully one day counselling will guide you.
TwinSmoke 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke Keep clawing buddy, you're just making a bigger fool of yourself.
MassHero 8 months ago
@TwinSmoke One final point, which you might be able to learn from because it doesn’t affect your religious sensibilities. You say you understand big words. I wasn’t trying to put you down or make you look silly , if I had wanted to do that I could have used Quantum level explanations , abstract mathematics and many other concepts which you almost certainly will have no knowledge of as its “FORBIDDEN” truth.
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui I know math. I hate it, but I know it. As far as "Quantum level explanations". Bring it on. That's something I understand VERY well. But you can assume all day long that you somehow know me better than I know myself.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke If you feel insecure in yourself study truth and feel better. Besides your religion makes you look silly all by itself. Anyways ive got to go and see the tooth fairy about some money. bye byes
evayui 1 year ago
@evayui Insecure? Hmmm. I'm not insecure about anything. But nice try at a non cursing cut down. As far as looking silly, look at yourself. You actually think we came from monkeys lol. About the tooth fairy, I have no doubt about that. You probably regularly speak to pink elephants. But whatever.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke its apes, not monkeys. and evolution doesn't say we "came from" apes, as if we used to be them. we share a common ancestor, which itself was different to the modern ape. if youre going to mock evolution at least have the decency to know the basics of it
SmashedUpFetus 1 year ago
@SmashedUpFetus Oh, I get it. You're going to try and tell me that we have a "common" ancestor. So when evolution came about, that "common ancestor" split. Half of them became apes while the other half became human? Do you have any idea just how ridiculous that sounds?
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
Comment removed
SmashedUpFetus 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke yes one day they got bored of being what they were, and one day they all walked into a magic closet and precisely half of them came out as apes, and the other half came out as humans, and theyve been precisely the same ever since, because everything happens in timeframes and on scales that humans can grasp easily, didnt you know?
no, im joking, that would be silly. the man in the sky made it happen
SmashedUpFetus 1 year ago
@SmashedUpFetus The man in the sky had nothing to do with evolution because it never happened. It's just an easier way for people that want to believe there is no God so they don't feel remorseful about their actions. Science wants to believe and teach evolution even though there is absolutely no proof of it what so ever. Scientists believe that you only believe in what you can taste, see, smell, touch or hear. But religion and evolution are the same. There is no proof that either exist.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke hm belief in evolution isnt antithetical to believe in god, youre using the word "proof" in place of "evidence" which confuses everything seeing as all inductive sciences are based on modelling and supportive evidence, and your armchair analysis of why people believe in evolution is badly oversimplifying the way belief works, and making a pretty ridiculous generalisation. and no scientist i ever met thought that only sensory perception was valid basis for believing something. you fail
SmashedUpFetus 1 year ago
@SmashedUpFetus That's right. Just wine moan and complain. Don't offer any "evidence" or "proof" of anything, yet continue to believe that you're correct although I've already proven your theory wrong. If you want to add something to the conversation, then don't just complain, prove me wrong. But ofcourse you can't do that. Therefor, you fail.
TwinSmoke 1 year ago
@TwinSmoke i dont think you actually know what the word "proof" means. not kidding. proof, evidence, two different things. you didnt actually reply to anything i said either lol. and its "whine". oh dear
