The thing I don't get is people keep saying JMDP will dominate the tour in the future, seriously?? Do you really think someone as tall as him will tear up the fedal era? Safin would be a good example, and for wimbeldon, NO, not for now, Rafa/Roger wil school him HARD.

Del Po will never dominate the tour like Fed did for years, nor like Nadal in 08 and 2010, but he's got the game to beat anyone and he is far more committed to the sport than Safin was. I would be surprised if he doesn't win at least 3 or 4 Slams in his career. I think in the next year we're going to see the end of the Fedal era. Rog is too old to dominate and Rafa's health will betray him. They'll still win, but not every Slam. Either Nole or Murray, or both, will win at least one in 2011.

@dwilliams02 I agree that Del Po probably won't be the dominant player on tour, because his big body will let him down, but when he's on he can beat anybody as he's proved. I still think Roger has at least 2 years left of top 5/10 level tennis and Rafa will cut down on matches to maintain his health and avoid injury for a couple years. I still think Roger and Nadal will combine to win 3 of the majors, and Djoko or Murray winning another.

Roger still has some years in him, no doubt about it. I think he'll win another 2-4 slams. Rafa's kind of on the same clock as Fed though. Even though the Swiss is so much older, he has maintained his level of play far better than most players as he has aged. It's not unusual for a player to start to go away completely around 27, especially one with Rafa's playstyle/injury history. Andy and Nole will be the princes of tennis with guys like Soderling, DelPo, Tsonga, or Cilic winning occasionally.

Davydenko's the type of player power players don't wanna face IMO. he prefers player that come at him with pace. His game is even suited to taking on power players. It takes someone with a little more guile and finesse to consistently beat him. Quite simply, You have to be very patient with him.

Davy is probably one of the most underrated players in the past several years. He's so consistent and has such a powerful ground game.

this is a random comment. jmdp has a bad history at wimbledon, but at 2010 i think he'll go really deep, dare i say, up to the semis. i really believe his new confidence and massive improvement in his game, will really suit the grass, especially his forehand and better footwork now. all i think he needs now is to pound more first serves in, and that just about makes jmdp too good at tennis.

Davydenko made one of the best shot selections, especially in critical time. And I do want to see him win a few grand slams before he retires.

@9tails23 Different story for Davydenko at the slams though. He faces one decent player in his draw, and he rushes too much. But I mean although he defeated Roger, one win doesn't mean anything. Did you think Roddick was going to turn it around when he defeated Federer for only the second time in his career @ Miami 08? I don't think this win will really affect each other a whole lot mentally. However, Nikolay's past few victories against Nadal will prove interesting especially on clay...
