Wondering if the video poster or one of his viewers might be able to tell me why I can't import .wav files to my machine from my pc. I made them .wav and they are in the transport folder waiting to be recognized by the aw1600...but it won't. I do all of my drums and keys on the pc and was hoping to record guitar and bass over them on the aw1600. I have read the manual to no avail. Any help would be awesome. Thank you
yeah the instructions are kind of vague. I found it difficult too. But from what I remember You have to follow instructions on page 83 - preparing for mixdown, Then you follow page 87 - recording on the stereo track. Before you burn anything to the CD. So after you have finished with the general recording, record again (your mix) on virtual track, then burn virtural track on CD
Well I could lie and say thanks but for some reason when i record vids with my mac it flips them (making it look like im playing lefty) But whatever.... What did you think of the ritual dance tutorials??
I never watched the tutorials, but I watched you play the song itself. Ritual dance is way out of my league for now so there's no point in me seeing the tutorials haha
haha i'll check em out, try it a bit and let you know if you did the job haha. but really its inspiring to see an 18 year old guitarist who knows what hes doing. im 18 as well and i wish i was in your spot right now =)
When your recording electric guitar, it's a good idea to run it straight into the recorder instead of through microphones, it sounds a lot more professional, also if you have an elec/acoustic, run it straight through as well. This eliminates any background noise that the mic's could pick up. You should try putting the "Soft Comp" mastering setting on it too, it makes it sound sweet. If you have any questions about the AW1600, message me, I've had it for a while and know quite a bit about it.
I Do run it direct but i also mic it to get both of best world (live/Studio) sound i just made a video of how easy it is to make a recording... when i master i take the raw tracks a go through Cubase Studio 4..., The AW is an awsome system i just wish it had Firewire!
I like it man hope you have a band or something going!
