  • There not many singer's acting like him. I dont need famous music, i need tool because they are A band!!.

  • He's not normal, but that make's him great!! ;D.

  • some of the greatest experiences of my life have been listening to tool, i don't really know why, but I have listened to 10,000 days so many times and i never get bored of it, its like rewarding to listen through and get to Wings for Marie and the grinding heavy gui riffs. no guitars sound anything like the gui on this album. its like a full frontal assault that tears your soul right out of its body

  • tool was so much more raw back then......ive seen them live twice 2001 voodoo fest new orleans city park on lateralus tour, and again in pensacola in may of 2007 i think. they are my favorite band. i wish i could have seen them live on this.....

  • oh justin bieber watched this

  • wish i could dance like maynard...

  • they don't make'em like they used to!

  • hah love the thumbnail xD

    amazing song

i wanna chill with maynard LOL

  • almost sound better live than on record

  • I would kill so many posers just to see Tool live...

  • Wow that was sick..

  • we are a nation of teeny bopper corporate handjobs...

  • 1:22 adam sets the count + evil guitar effect

  • Who the fuck would dislike this?

  • i wanna see to see tool tour with rush just to see neil peart and danny carey together

  • why doers he have 2 micss?

  • @katyeliz9 Why did you ask 3 times?

  • @katyeliz9 i think to create a reverb effect also maybe 1 mic has a different setting which would sound better with his yelling/singing then his more subtle singing on the other mic. maybe im wrong tho.

  • @katyeliz9 different effects

  • why doers he have 2 mics?

  • why doers he have 2 mics?

  • how much better do u think they sound in person then on a youtube video?

  • @bigpayne10 Well, just imagine every bass note and word maynard speaks literally going THROUGH you. Then get the head bobbin, start singin, and when the song picks up you just FREAK THE FUUUUUCK OUT!!!!!!!!! (I just did this all last night listening to Maynard and APC, lol.)

    Any questions?

  • this performance made my dick jump a little

  • Best Band EVER!!!

  • Is that Paul on bass? Or did Justin come around in 96?

  • @whoohaaXL Paul had left before Aenima so I believe this is Justin. :P

  • @whoohaaXL Although, I could be wrong. :P

  • It seems to listen the studio version, fantastic. In wich city is this live?

  • @Journeyst los angeles

  • how can this mean anything to me?

If I really dont feel a thing at all?

  • ive had to privlage of seeing them live 2x during my highschool years... ya i was fuccked up but still I have distinct memories ...you see these guys live...youll never forget thats for sure

  • WOW Maynard is amazing.... incredibly ODD but amazing :)

  • Awesome

  • 3:22 dannys drum stick fell

  • who cares about looks, its about the music

  • I love the way he moves on stage, it's raw and beautiful!

  • its weird the way his body moves to the song

  • Man, unbelievable..wish I was into tool back then..I have seen everyone live but them..SUX!

  • Man, unbelievable..wish I was into tool back then..I have seen everyone live but them..SUX

  • @krete777 Tool is incredible live. I was at this 96 show in Cleveland. Was the best show ever. I know how you feel though.. I feel the same way about Pink Floyd. While I got to Rodger Waters this year, I fear I will never get to see Pink.. =(

  • Does that say Los 'Angles'?

  • @xxfaerietalesxx Naturally. Everyone knows that city's Spanish for 'The Angles.'

  • that tattoo...

  • One of the only videos Ive seen that has no dislikes...thats how you know tool is SICK!

  • UMM No Yall This Song Is About Sticking Your Fingers And Fist In A Girls Snatch READ ABOUT IT MJK Clearly Stated It

  • @vitalremain1 Of course it is. Anybody older than 12 could probably interpret that, but it does have a deeper meaning.

  • 0 Dislikes, lets keep it that way! :D

  • 1 mic was not enough, he just needs more...

  • @Aveszedelem ones not enough, he needs more, nothing seems to satisfy ..lol

  • @Aveszedelem If you didn't know, this song its a conversation between a man and his addiction, so he plays the role of each beeing on a different mic

  • @Kaahru THX for the enlightment! :D Will be the output sent on different speakers than, too? On the other hand: that's why we like this guy so much, because he can perform that dramatic. And that's why repeating sequences -- I mean, by some other metal bands -- without any climax or emphasis is IMAO no more enough, I need more... e.g. this one.

  • FENOMENALI!!!!!!!

  • I would love to be that mic maynard is holding!!

  • maynard: you guys get the worst show of the tour

    audience: wooooooooooo!!!! yeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr!!!!!!

    me: lol

  • I saw TOOL live once, in 2009, but I was so high that I cant remember much of it. I need to see them again, but from what I CAN remember, it was definitely an experience of a lifetime. These videos do not do the live experience justice.

  • are you guys seriously comparing maynards voice to scott stapp?!!!!!! Are you guys fucking retarded????????!!!!!!!! i know maynards voice isnt what it used to be but goddamn guys, scott stapp is GARBAGE

  • @maynardrocks10 NO I wasnt comparing his voice to Scott Stapps or anyones.. I was referring to live perfomance's...It's just my opinion that Maynard doesnt push his voice all of the time in concert....

I saw both shows at Redrocks this summer and he did actually pushit a few times.... I already bowed my head in shame for throwing Stapp into that Statement....

    And im still regretting it!

  • oki fucking love tool but the lead singers hunching over is annoying me and please dont write like go fuck yourelf about this

  • @metalcrazy1

if you dont like the way he sings then dont watch/listen to it... oh yeah, and go fuck yourself!!!!!!!!!

  • must have been your first tool concert if you are disappointed you didnt see him. he always stays behind the light and u can only see his silhouette

  • I just saw Tool live in 2010 (sacramento, CA) and it was kind of a disapointment...keynes...just hid the entire time...cool background visual, but no sign of the lead singer..

  • @dmoyer111 He's been hiding for years on the stage... Never pushes his voice....Love the guy but People like Robert Plant, Lou Grahm, Scott Stapp, Kid Rock never held back when were paying our hard earned dollars to come see them.

  • @tmpc45 hmmm...this is odd. why do you need to see his eyebrows to make it a better experience? i think it rounds out the experience when the focus is off the singer actually. he can be seen, just not totally clearly. non traditional, but thats tool, no?

and as far as never pushing his voice, ive seen them four times and its sonically its always stellar. but youre right, hes no scott stapp.

  • @kidsareoverrated I dont need to see any ones eye brows.. There called front men for a reason.. But i have no problem with Tools setup.. I love it.. There always different. Ok so Scott Stapp was a bad example but he does push his voice..

Ive seen tool 5 times and not once have i heard Maynard push his voice....

But again im not complaining... Tool is about the best band out there right now.

  • @tmpc45 everybody you mentioned is full-fledged flaming gay when compared to the balls and sensitivity that maynard has. a fact that most people here know...which leads me to believe that you listening to Tool is like throwing pearls before swine.

  • @crowkangi So Robert Plant, Lou Grahm, Kid Rock are flaming gay? Im not mentioning the other guy. I'll give you that one. Every single one of them has had more pussy then you could get in 50 lifetimes. Not that that i give a shit! "Pearls at Swine" Did you look that one up? I appreciate their value. I wish they would put out more music.

But as the saying goes.. opinions are like Assholes and everybodies got one.

  • @tmpc45 and they stink :)

  • dude the singers gettin fuckin pumped

  • you just did... time warped back to 1996.... you saw it live..

  • cant wait to see this live tomorrow...although, I've seen them perform this already

  • whats on manyards back???

  • @11ethan111 a tattoo

  • @theDUDE13194 oh right it looked like his backbones when inwards kinda thing

  • @11ethan111 Ya I believe it's a tat. of a spinal chord on his spinal chord....

  • @theDUDE13194 its a scorpian tail

  • I'D FUCK MAYNARD SO HARD!!!!!!

  • Haha, I liked it when Maynard kicked lol. I also really like his stage presence, it makes him seem awkward but because he's Maynard it's actually cool.

  • 3:23!!!!! WTF, Danny just says 'fuck this' and drops a still down by the bass drum haha

  • danny carey is such a badass

  • why go to heaven when you can go to a tool concert

  • @rayray0313 Lol

  • after you go to a tool concert there is no reason to live because you just experienced the greatest thing ever nothing can beat it

  • good performance, AENIMA had to be their best album.

  • Tool should release their epic concerts , despite maynards comments against it.

  • @Preciado6 whats an epic concert

  • @killrnick77 In TOOLs case all of them , TooL is EPIC..... xD

  • Its not about the way they look on stage. Its about the music they create.

  • @Sasquash i disagree because tool has created a fanbase because of their live shows. anyone that has been to a tool concert can agree with me that the visual part of the show goes hand in hand with the music.

  • @TheSquareDonut

You misunderstood me. I was referring to an older post about the fact that they're not very animated on stage. They're not the type of guys to jump around on stage like a bunch of morons. Rather focusing on the music and using lighting/screens etc for the visual side of things. I agree with you, their live visuals are indeed something to behold.

  • @Sasquash Actually.. I think when your at Tools height , what you look like becomes an art too. And then you end up living your art and showing others how to live also. But what does "live" mean? .... hmmm

  • @Sasquash i love how they look on stage. see how each of them feels the music

  • @Sasquash uh its both.otherwise go listen to the cd.you tool.

  • All of you arguing on youtube (and the internets in general) can lick a set of balls from behind. Think about that one.

  • I thought about that and have come to the conclusion that you've just dominated over 800 million people. Congrats.

  • Surely did. 800 million people just lost their breath to that one

  • This is Pomona. The first show of the AEnima tour...I remember having a video of this concert back in the late nineties...I thought it was fantastic back then, and after an other decade of experience on this mortal coil, I stand in reverence to these great group of artists. What a fantastic song!

  • lsd with some dmt for maynard haha

  • Comment removed

  • I love how people like you are so quick to get angry and pass judgement on things they dont understand. The guy makes a harmless (and funny in my opinion) joke and you try to make yourself look better by pointlessly insulting him. How fucking mature you must be. (that was sarcasm in case you forgot how to read emotion)

  • Comment removed

  • I dont know, probably the same reason you think your shit doesnt stink, so fuck off.

  • lmao

  • ahaha heeellll yyaaaaaa. i know that maynard used to trip during a lot of his shows

  • and how do you know that

  • unfounded statement.

  • No he didn't trip during his shows. Thats why Tool is a successful business.

  • One of the legendary rock tunes, from the golden shore to the depths of the dank mine. So says my youth, so says my adulthood, so says my old age. So says the heavens. Thanks tool. Back to the golden shore. I can smell the salt and imagine the whales swimming next to me.

  • best show i have ever been too

  • I think that's Billy Howerdel at 6:15

  • i will die happy if i see Tool live...

  • youll get a chance no worries..saw them twice...its worth driving across the continent if you have to

  • @TORGURDURDULUK Too bad their best live days are long gone. 1994-2002 is where its at

  • Comment removed

  • I will be happy if you see Tool before you die.

  • @TORGURDURDULUK I can die happy! I saw 'em, and it was amazing!

  • @TORGURDURDULUK

its more than just music :)

  • @TORGURDURDULUK i saw them and maynard's voice has changed A LOT!

  • @J45USER yes unfortunately, his voice changed just like everhything else does with age.

  • @kreep182 lol

  • I saw them live,

    They started with Third Eye.

    The middle was the Patient.

And ended with Schism, Lateralus, and Aenima.

it was an orgy of enlightenment, and people were passing around joints and having the time of their lives. NOW GO, SEE THEM AND FULFILL YOUR DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TORGURDURDULUK i just saw them and i feel complete my friend, i am ready to pass on into whatevers next

  • and to refrain ... ya they are i would say the best band ever.. from their total originality... nothing can compare

  • @TORGURDURDULUK fuck yea

  • @TORGURDURDULUK Me too...

  • 4:30 Ministry of silly walks FTW

  • fuckin epic

  • old school :D

  • pause at 3:31 you can see the flash of the camera light up, and he looks like an alien.

  • Awesome performance by the best band of all time!

    Btw, Justin > Paul

  • Tool are probably one of my favourite bands of all time, but they aren't very.. enthusiastic while performing live, are they?

  • That's not true, they just don't jump around like a bunch of little school girls when they perform.

  • Bah, that's just a synonym for unenthusiastic.

Jumping around like "little school girls" is what makes a live show, they need to get involved with the crowd otherwise you might as well just buy their record.

  • That's bull-shit, if you've ever been to a Tool concert, you would know that it is absolutely a sensory overload.

  • nailed it bro, dnt even argue with these punk-ass dudes

  • yet they're the best band live, what does that tell you about their music?

  • When I said crowd, I meant fans. :)

  • BY THE WAY LOVE HIS DANCIN OR MOVIN WHATEVER YOU CALL IT lol

  • GREAT FUCKIN VIDEO AND SONG! /m/

  • Lol, Danny lost a stick @ like 3:25

  • That'll happen!

  • damn intense. awesome

  • Ahhhhhhhh!!!

  • awesome."nothing seems to satisfy......."

  • pretty damned good. I wish SO bad I could have seen TOOL back in the day. They're still amazing now but they had some extra zazz back then
