These are not ufos. NASA's data from STEREO comes in very compressed. NASA posts the photos at the first decompression (note the pixelated green corona) which is not full resolution. It contains distortion artifacts. Go back and look at the same photos 2 or 3 days later to see the full resolution photo. No artifacts or ufos. See a clear and detailed corona. There may be an alien invasion, but this is not evidence of it. Go back to STEREO and look up the same photos!

It's not a UFO. What you see on pictures are *.jpg compression artifacts. This "phenomena" is well known to all astrophysics like me. Try to make picture during the night to something shiny like... lightning. Set your camera on 100ISO 30sec time and 8,0 diaphragm. You will se on picture lots of artifacts like - black, purple, green... dots etc... The STEREO mission uses CCD technology like the chips in digital cameras. There is a thing called "binning" where one pixel can dump it's info into a pixel next to it. Did you notice that the "blank" spots happen to be next to bright edges? That is common binning. It is what happens when a CCD overflows, so to speak. Sorry, it's not a UFO, it's just the technology we had when the STEREO mission was designed. BTW, STEREO monitors the Sun's environment which keep us safe from it's variations.

The Earth is called the 3rd rock from the Sun for a reason Mercury and Venus orbit closer to the Sun and it could be any of the other planets going around behind the Sun. The STEREO mission uses CCD technology like the chips in digital cameras. There is a thing called "binning" where one pixel can dump it's info into a pixel next to it. Did you notice that the "blank" spots happen to be next to bright edges? That is common binning. It is what happens when a CCD overflows, so to speak. Sorry, it's not a UFO, it's just the technology we had when the STEREO mission was designed. BTW, STEREO monitors the Sun's environment which keep us safe from it's variations.
