Mick in an incredible guitarist and play killer blues. His role in Motley doesn't showcase this, but he plays for the song. Here is a little tip, Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page were not technically great guitarists, you have to play for the song. Bass should not be complex unless you are overcompensating for failing at guitar.

He is by no means the best or the fastest but it's the way he plays the guitar and what he writes. it's just different. he doesnt' shred he just plays and it's all good stuff. mick is 6 on my top 10 list.

well, there is a reson all crue basslines are very simple. he even admits it. and on the corabi album, john corabi played a lot of the basslines for the recordings, and the new siants of L.A single has pre-recorded intro for the bass, so he doesnt play it at all. and thats even a really simple bassline. he is competent on bass, at best

he tries to be good, and is ok. but he is no genius on the bass. like nikki, his songwriting is excellent, and he can write technical stuff for the guitar, but his basslines arent too complex. but all in all, i would say he is better than nikki, but probly just cos he was playing when he was younger than nikki. nikki's first bass was actually a guitar, and he didnt really care, he just played it like a bass. these are just my opinion, but i have been a fan for yrs, and thats how i see it

oh, i didnt mean the crue songs were bad. o love the crue, my fave band ever. especially the early simple catchy songs. but my point was that they were simple and catchy because none of the members of the crue are great musicians. nikki is perhaps the gretest songwriter of his generation, but he keeps the basslines simple because he has to. the most complex asslines were on the corabi album, and corabi actually recorded them, the same as the guitar parts for the majority of that album
