  • That was a very impressive driving

  • akulax2 - thank you very much :-)

Maybe we will see you at the next event :-)

  • yes I am shifting the auto!

the auto is fully built (by me) as the stock unit can not withstand this kind of power or RPMs

car is rediculiously fun on the street

  • Are shifting an automatic... manually? is that ok for the tranny? or for street driving if you get a speed rush? lol

  • damn only thing that beat it was an AWD PORSCHE? Freaking GO impala!

  • @xxsolidsteelxx

Solidsteel ...were you at the event...cause that is correct!!!

  • @ProTools4 No but its says in the description? lol

  • nice driving man, your makin my decision to get an impala really easy!

  • i wish impala's came in stick

  • You can put a T56 6:speed in an Impala :-)

But I love my 4 speed auto!! :

    -)

  • he was using l2 an l1 , smart

i give props for the driving

  • Yes I was starting in Low1 and going around in Low2

  • Tad,

I asked Mark at SC&C he could not remember - do you have a 670 or did you get the 800 overhauled?

    Thanks

  • I have the stock impala box

it is a hot rod compaied to the stock 60s A- and F-body boxes

I would like to hive mine gone thru by tom lee

But I have other higher priority mods first.

  • Back in 2001 I got a 95 Rdmaster Sdn with 30K mi. (now 80K). The steering was the one thing I could not tolerate it had unacceptable play. I just sent the 800 box to Tom Lee. He tighten it up & increased the effort. The play was reduced but I did not like the heavier steering (did not seem to add much more accuracy). I asked for even less play. He said the 670 might do it. I asked to make the 670 as light as stock to turn. I got the 670 installed for 1 wk now and it is the #1 B-body mod !

  • the Impala, caprice and 9c1 all have a different build to the steering box!!!

My impala always has driven nice down the road.

as the box is tight and responsive

    it just has no feel..

as you can see at the autocross I have to work the wheel way to much.

  • Thanks, I did not know that the B-Bodies have different steering boxes. Interestingly, my Roadmaster came from stock with a fast 12.7:1 ratio (2 turns lock to lock)!

    - How much hp on your motor?

    - What rear axle ratio and what kind of posi?

    - best quarter mile?

    Thanks

  • hit me up on my email :-)

  • i bet this guy driving the impala can tear and do hella good on the ferrari

  • impalas rule fuck all the haters

  • Your driving's hella nice, and so is the Impala. Keep it up.

  • Thank you :-)

  • much props ! on ur driving skills dude !
