Why is that hard to believe? and 300 to 115? More like 10,000 6 cylinders to 50 HEMIs. The 426 HEMI was a rare option, not many HEMI were ever made. Most people could not afford the option. It's common knowledge that MANY more 6 cylinders were put into the majority of all cars made back then than 8 cylinders of any size.
Please tell me that chick jumped in the back seat, because if "L" gave up the drivers seat that quickly, I am guessing he is still a virgin to this day!

@Probzone, The split grill was the worst feature on the 69. I'm glad that they finally perfected the Charger in 1970.
