  • cool thanks for the video got to get this cooler tomorrow as my fan on my 5770 has died can afford a new card just yet

  • I just bought that fan from a local computer shop. But my real question is that are you able to see your gpu fan speed in programs such like msi afterburner if you just only hook it up on the power cable?

  • Just ordered the L2 Plus. Bought a used 6850 online and it came with a fan with insanely noisy bearings. Seller says he doesn't know what's up with that, but anyway the L2 Plus turned out to be $15 with 2-day shipping at Amazon due to a refund I got so not a terrible ordeal in the end.

  • @fleckx Yeah, stick fans can be too noisy at times. That said, my 3850 stock fan is pretty quiet. I'm sure you'll like the L2 plus, if it's as good as the L2 Pro

  • good review but recorded with a toaster

  • @huymitsumi LOL. Yeah this is an old one - I'm using HD these days

  • Omg, same Master Miller!

  • I'am getting this cooler for my HD5770 tomorrow.I'am just fuckin sick of my standard cooler on it.Too much heat, too much noise.

    The L2 Pro is awesome.

  • @zirius89 Yes, I agree - the L2 Pro is superb. I was pretty amazed how quiet it is. In fact, I'm so impressed with this I have ordered Arctic Cooling's Freezer 7 LP CPU cooler for my HTPC. I'm hoping it's just as good!

  • @PGTMan It's not bad but for CPUs I've had the best experience with Noctua coolers. Right now I'm using Noctua NH-U12P SE2 and it's probably the most efficient and quiet cooler I've ever used. After (not) hearing the noise it makes I replaced all the fans in my PC with Noctuas and it's alemost absolutely quiet (except for my ATI HD 5770 for which I wanted to use the Thermalright Spitfire but found it wouldn't fit in my case so I guess I'm stuck with this).

  • Lol, you pronounce "Radeon" wrong XD

  • @TheCalvertz That's the way we say it "oop North!" :-)

  • @PGTMan Your accent is similar to mine, I'm in Leeds, but I don't pronounce it like that lol

  • @TheCalvertz So do you pronounce the American way? i.e Ray-dee-on?

  • @PGTMan lol, it's not the american way, it's the proper way O_o

  • @TheCalvertz No, I can't agree with you. It's an American pronounciation, and is no more right or wrong than mine. It's like SATA - it can be Sayta or Sarta

  • @PGTMan I pronounce SATA as the second one :P Hmm, I guess it's just how you feel comfortable saying it :P It just sounds wrong to me, I guess the way I say it sounds wrong to you also... Haha, Anyway I bought this fan :P

  • @TheCalvertz LOL - I guess we'll have to agree to disagree! I bet we'll agree on the fan though - it's a good 'un!

  • @PGTMan Yep, It is :D

  • How about the noise level under gaming ?

  • @12d3var Unless you do what did - that is, connect the power directly to the card - it only runs at 1 speed and that speed is quiet. If you DO do what I did - well - I've not really pushed it under gaming so I can't honestly say....

  • Hey will this cooler will do for cross fire.. cause i am planning to do expansion in the future and thinking if this cooler will be small enough to fit between 2 cards..

And does the cooler is cool enogh?

and btw i have V2 egg shape cooler from XFX and even after heavy over clocking i have at load only 40c.. which is way too low.. i have nice cool case but little bit too much...

  • @VoLtrex31 Hmm, I think you might struggle with crossfire - I think it would interfere with the second card. As for cooling, it cools well but a high end card would need something better

  • does the cooler require the 3pin connector to be plugged in. I've only plugged the 4 pin to the graphics card. I don't have any extra molex connectors, so thats why im asking

  • @massacre692v Yeah you have to use a molex connector to power it up. You can buy splitters very cheaply on Ebay so you can split a molex into two if you've run out. Or, if you are handy with a soldering iron you can do what I did which was to cut off the connectors and solder on the connector from the stock fan that I was replacing. That way, you can power it directly from the graphics card (that will void the cooler's warranty though!).

  • @PGTMan Thanks i needed to know that or else i probably would've bought something more expensive

  • Yeah, the heatsink looks a lot like a stock AMD cpu cooler and because of that its very bulky. But, it is very light, quiet, and other reviews I've seen show it's 10-15 degrees cooler than stock

  • Very nice. A lot different design then I have seen on most after market coolers. When I first saw it I thought it was a cpu cooler.
