It`s nice to see you riding like that. i do the samething some times you just want to let loose and have fun. glad iam not the only one . great video!!! oh and your not bad looking either. lol
Nice, but to make sure others don't do this without thinking: make sure you know every inch of your trail before getting a horse up over a walk. Hidden stump holes & hidden trenches/ditches have caused many a rider and horse to get hurt. It was at an organized trail ride last year (over 500 horses) where someone decided to race a horse in an open field, never saw a hidden ditch, broke both front ankles of the horse, seriously hurt the rider. Horse had to be put down. Have fun, but be safe.
Nice horse very well trained so great job and i loved the jump you made it look good because i know its hard to do in western with the stupid horn in your way lol. As for the cantering part down hill horses do it all the time in the wild just wanted to put that out there.

I think this video is exactly the riding we like to with our horses. Horses are so damn awesome and that looked like soo much fun. Thanks for sharing that..... Rock on!!
great rider, but you probably shouldn't ride a horse that hard everyday. nice job over the log, its nice to get on a western horse that will still jump. So is this how you break a horse to trails, just book it through and hope all goes well?
@WiccasKiss No you don't book it through and hope all goes well. you sack him out untill no noises bother him, then you walk down diferent trails so he learns tha not everything is always the same like in an arena. this also makes him surefooted. then you can start booking it through new trails. at that point the horse knows to watch where he is going how things differ with the weight of a rider and that he can trust the rider.
Hi shane , nice horse he looks really good im doing the RFT clinic in cheshire on the 9th and 10th ..see you there . looking forward to it as i diddent get to do it last year . i have my parelli lvl 1/2 horse to do it with :)
Looks like my boss Jasons kind of trail ride... the first time off the track scared the crap out of me, worst than cross country. I am happen to say I'm now used to this kind of trail riding thanks to Jason!

Im not that impressed either...my horse and I could do that blind folded...most of it was open and mostly flat. A few obstacles thrown in...the horse did do well at this speed. My horse and I go up sides of mountains and over steep bluffs...as soon as I find a way to video it while riding without busting my camera Ill post some of it...lol. Then u can see what off the trail is!
You need to be carefull running the horse down the hill

Hi iloveandhugemyhorse
They can canter down hills fine, probably best to make sure they are fit/strong enough to carry a person down hill first though.
