what a great, great song. i haven't really understood her music with that voice until i saw a documentary about her. now i admire janis! and i noticed, we do have things in common. well, no wonder, she was a capricorn, too. :)

and something else: i don't understand why it's often said, she was ugly. ok, she didn't look like audrey hepburn, but what the hell!! in my opinion there are many pictures or videos where she looks pretty. for example the photo here. :)

Now as then, there is music produced that are good and now as then there is crap produced. Yes, alot of todays music is based upon other things then content, but it was that way already in the -60s and -70s.

Boy/Girl bands isnt an new fenomen. Nor is Lady Gaga (-60s had Diana Ross amongs others). Beatles, sat the standard for boybands to follow. Motown had atleast half a dozen girl-bands signed.

Girls didnt throw their underwear on Elvis because his music was so great :P
