  • Back To Babylon is still one of my all time fave albums, if anyone can post Family at War or Mystery Train it would be awesome

  • @stashyjon Family at War is on here somewhere, but still waiting for Mystery Train!

  • Saw Tank and Torme warming up for shitallica.Tank rocked, Torme rocked but that whiny fucking singer wasn't there a few months previous and he ruined the band. Torme has a flat voice and Phil Lewis sings like a girl, I'll take Bernies voice any day. I left when Torme finished

  • same here saw them loads of times at the marquee, hammersmith palais, and ........chelmsford ...always a great night out

  • When the world ends, Bernie Torme's guitar will supply the soundtrack.

  • I have a recording of the band from the old Marquee club from about 1987 and it was a great gig!!

  • Bernie & Phil...match made in Rock & Roll heaven!

  • Musta seen them a dozen times back in the day - The Clarendon , Marquee - all the usual dives - most underated band of the period - Great frontman, solid rythm section and one of the worlds beat guitarists - shoulda been huge. - If you likr Torme, you must remember The Grip as well?

  • phil is always so good~~~~~

  • This is SO FUCKIN' COOL !!!!

I always loved this song, from the original version that came out as a six pack of singles by Bernie Torme and (I think) The Electric Gypsys, to this re-recorded version by Torme on the Back To Babylon album.

Saw them many times on the tour of the U.K that year, great live band.

Ilove the way Phil goes "Like Bernie Torme" in the ad lib at the end. Priceless !

  • WOW...AWESOME...loved this song for years...never knew a video existed!!! Thanks so much!

  • Rosa,is he really?Guitar god!!

  • ive met bernie 100000000000000000 hes my dad

    LOL

  • Rosa is he really? Was a fan before I saw them support Metallica in 1984. At the Lyceum. they were awesome then & as poker says, Bernie's a guitar GOD!!

  • whoever said their dad was lucky to have met bernie........ why? bernie stunk up the place when he toured with ozzy in 82 and still reeks boo hiss hiss

  • Phil lewis is the man that never ages. whats his secret. i do love that man!!

  • We (Heretic)used to open for Torme on occasion at the Marquee. Great band , great memories!!

  • Wasnt he in like 3 Bands before LA Guns.

  • Phil Lewis was in Girl, New Torpedos and Tormé before LA Guns... he was also in Britt Ekland ;-)

  • Phil Lewis was in 'Girl' too!

  • Do you mean Phil Collen? He was in Girl and later joined Def Leppard

  • He was in Girl. Phil Lewis that is.

  • Ah... you confused me because I already said that Phil Lewis was in Girl! I thought Girl were OK but I think they had bottles thrown at them when they played the Reading Festival in 1980.

  • From the fukin fantastic album " back to babylon" this takes me back a few years i can tell ya ....

  • BRILLIANT PHIL LEWIS ROCK SO HARD!!

  • This must be after GIRL

  • After Girl, before L.A. Guns.

  • This is cool! I like it!!

  • phil lewis es uno de los cantantes mas carismaticos y con mas fuerza escenica que he visto.

    larga vida...

  • What a nostalgia....I remember this song well.

  • moi aussi je l'aime!

  • This is fudging priceless, I'll clue my mate in ;)

  • THE WHOLE ALBUM'S COOL

  • AMEN BROTHER!

  • oooooo I love Phil Lewis.

  • moi aussi je l'aime!

  • There playing @ the Rock n blues this year

  • There is alot of stuff about them on there web page... & there myspace page.

  • A great piece of music. Probably the most commercial incarnation of the Tormé lineup. Bernie should have been a much bigger star than he is. A real shame.

  • Hav u listened 2 Rene Bergs Gangbang Band? It feachers Bernie on guitar. R Berg wasn't as big as he was menna b 2.

  • René Berg? Can't say that I have heard of him...though I've just looked on Wikipedia and you are (of course) right! Being a big Tormé fan I am surprised that I didn't know the connection. You learn something new every day...!

  • Yeah Wikipedia has a lot of stuff about him, you can buy his CDs on the internet I must recomend the Leather the lonlyness and your dark eyes, that the one wiv Torme its fab! and Gangbang Band there actuwelly the same thing

  • I've met berne tormé about 10000 times he's my mates dad!

  • My dad met Bernie Torme once I think...

Hes lucky. & so are you really

  • He dosn't just play the guitar. He makes it SING!!!!

  • Phil Lewis,The Best Rock Frontman & Vocalist Ever!

I Used To Love Torme's Versions Of "Teenage Kicks" & "New Orleans"

  • I LOOOOV TORME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • brillian stuff, big hair! now we know why the ozone layer has a hole.

  • PHIL RULEZ!!!

  • He does!!!

  • Phil Lewis is the MAN!!

  • YOUR RIGHT!!

  • Great to See Bernie and the boys on here. Remember seeing them a few times on tour and especially at the old Marquee club on Wardour Street, London - Top stuff!!
