I joik while I do the housework...not as authentic as doing it whilest herding reindeer but never mind! I love it, comes straight from the guts, real earthy stuff...I love the way the robin joined you! My father uses Joiking in his impro workshops, it's amazing how people really free up...in fact i would go as far to say that it is this particular form of voicework that really helped me release my voice.
@lyzcooper thank you so much for this. I am an American of Scottish and Irish descent, and I'm always intrigued by "lesser-known" languages and/or cultures... I found this to be absolutely amazing and beautiful, please keep it up, and never stop making music. Much love from Virginia Beach.

Hi - it is good to hear from you and I am intrigued by your comment. In what way do you think it is wierd - I'd love to know!

@lyzcooper I'm not Sami. I think a woman beating the drum and singing "loy-leh-loy-leh-leh" sounds... like some old pagan ritual.
I'm not saying it's not nice or interesting, I love traditional/authentic stuff.

@diaphilm
This is not authentic. You better know what it is before you try it.

I am a Saami and no traditions like this exists anymore so I cant really say anything against or for, but still I feel it seems weird.
