Thankfully a lot of businesses are now returning to normality, despite regular power cuts (rationing) and such. A lot of businesses worst hit will probably remain shut until further notice though, particularly low-lying ones and ones next to the main rivers. I'd give them a call and make sure they'll be open!

The Army were on standby and there were three RAF rescue helicopters working all through the day/night of the initial flood. It's a testament to the authorities, volunteers and general people of Sheffield that we managed to cope so well.
