It needs a face lift Gibbz. Just because Dynasty Warriors 2 was a smash hit and the next few installments were amazing, doesn't mean they should continue reusing the exact same formula for all eternity, which is what they have been doing. They need to update the game somehow and this does qualify.

Heh, sorry if I came off a bit aggressive. I know what you are saying, and I have nothing against Dynasty warriors 2 or 4. I liked those games, too. I just don't want to pick up Dynasty warriors 10 down the line and find out it plays just like Dynasty warriors 2 with some tweaks. =p

DW2 i'm still hooked on for the ps2 but damn this demo has the elements a an actual RPG now before people would refer this game an RPG but now strikeforce takes that to heart.

sadly, it took them this LONG to finally figure out that we wanted something DIFFERENT, talk about dumb developers(people that make games, in case you didn't know) i mean DW2 was awesome, and DW4 too, but seriously, i had the same crap for almost a decade. I also just played the demo, gotta say, this is the first DW game i liked in a loooooong time.

And just to think, I played the first seris of dynasty warriors which was romance of the three kingdoms in like the year of 1993 and now I really came this far to the ultimate of dynasty warriors.....lol I still miss dynasty warriors 4, now that game is a classic.

No, the first Dynasty Warriors was Dynasty Warriors...DW2 if you want to get specific. RoTK is another game developed by the dame developers, based off the same novel, but not the same as Dynasty Warriors.

It's not too bad when you're first starting out, but eventually it gets pretty dang tough. I never did finish the Shu (my first) campaign since I got it off the shelf in 09.

While DW vol. 2 got old after a while, at least it was possible to do things single-player. Strikeforce seems to depend on multiplayer for all the good stuff, and if you can't do get online with your PSP...well that's just your loss.

DW3 is still the best, they havent captured the same feeling from that game into the games they make now.

True, but at least they all stayed roughly the same. 6 was like a dumbed down version of 4 with some extra characters so it was still decent. Then they added Samurai Warriors and Gundam and now this....Gundam made me lose all faith in Koei.

Oddly enough Dynasty Warriors Gundam wasn't too bad. I mean it didn't blow me out of the water, but it had elements the other ones didn't. Also guessing from the Thumbs downs, people looking at this specific video are kind of biased against anyone who disagrees with them. It's not like we are saying we hated Dynasty warriors 2, 3, or 4. We just don't want to see DW 10 play practically the same as 4 or 5 with a new coat of paint.

Gundam wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. Some of the stuff just didn't feel very thought out. Like shooting. Honestly, there was no point in shooting because it didn't almost no damage and didn't even stagger the enemies lol. All they need to do to make a great new DW game is completely scrap what they have and start from the beginning. They claimed to have done that with DW6, but it's exactly the same with the exception of some new features. Even the graphics were meh.

And I get what you're saying, but this game isn't even DW anymore. It's like Dragon Ball but with Chinese heroes instead of spikey-haired anime heroes. I've played the demo and it doesn't even FEEL like a DW game. DW is fun for a reason. Blasting through giant armies with an over-powered Chinese hero. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yeah well no argument there. I do like some of the forms, though. The real area of improvement in Dynasty Warriors Strike Force is the ability to play online with others and take on challenges, much like monster hunter. They tried a Dynasty Warriors Online game that was P2P but I don't think it really took off.

They should've had online play on all of the DW games from 4 and up lol. They've always been capable of it. As much as I love the DW games, I think Koei has a bad habit of being lazy or half-assing things.
