  • that's cute :3

  • hi mi name ist jannik and i find you good

  • You can do this much easier with an empty bottle of wine on a cooking plate.

Just put the pencil in the cork of the bottle and heat the cooking plate up (not to hot) ;-)

  • Now, try to shutdown the lamp.

  • To bad you're a fucking lier and perpetual motion has only been thought of and not actually built because its impossible with the technology that we currently posses.

  • @TehkNinja i believe it has something to do with the fact that its set on top of a source of energy, i think thats the science part he refered to

  • Heat rises and the spinner acts like a turbine receiving steam

  • What's the little thing before drawing ?

  • Sounds like Runescape

  • why does everyone on youtube say trolled, bro, and ask you mad bro bcuz u just got trolled? lol....wth?

  • @ILikeCHEEZ9 memes

  • Comment removed

  • in 1975 I made big versions of these to sit over the steam radiators in our apt. The rising heat made them spin like kinetic sculptures

  • Now, let's hook it up to a generator, and the lamp will generate its own electricity.

  • @Mutzaki

    Haha. Sadly, entropy says no.

  • what is the name of the background song?

  • @9050274anamarilis

The name of the song is End of Spirit(:

  • wow im confused.... you did not mention the lamp

  • My blender can do the same thing, but 200x faster.

  • mae que mierda

  • ...

  • wow never thought of doing that with that science. heat from the light bulb causes air to heat and rise. This in turn creates a convection current of air coming from the top of the lamp back down to the bottom, and out the top again. Put a spiral (little mass would be more effective, I.E. paper) and you have a nice "perpetual spiral". Classic science experiment, usually used with a candle instead of a light bulb though.

  • Oh noes, a patch is going to be released for this. Patch 2.012 will be released on 2/15/2012 on North America 2/17/2012 on Europe and 2/20/2012 for the rest of the world. Guess i have to clear Mind Cache to do this...

  • Oh so that's how that globe that keeps spinning works

  • my grandma show me this like 10 years ago

  • sooo. i have to take my mountain bike apart to make this.?

  • I did this and my wife left me!

  • Does this still work in 1.0.0 patch?(minecraft reference)

  • it's time to upgrade your lamp...

  • cool

  • I cant even draw it ...

  • no such thing as perpetual energy

  • @frostedlambs it's a simple thing: hot air from the incadescent bulb rises, and the circular paper then moves because of the rising air. it's motion taking power from otherwise wasted energy. =]

  • @vinceat852 yeh i know that but its not perpetual

  • I remember doing this in kindergarden over an radiator.

  • Perpetual spinner AS LONG AS the light bulb is turned on. So, not really a perpetual spinner, right?

  • @Jmlee19LostThGame

My dreams of actual perpetual movement and unlimited sources of energy ...

    ... have been crushed.

  • @ACHi11iES Sorry...... Try photovoltaic panels, A.K.A. Solar panels.

  • @Jmlee19LostThGame

Haha, it was a joke, brother.

Anyways, Solar Panels are a source of renewable energy, but I wouldn't use it as an example of perpetual motion.

After all, the sun is going to die away eventually in 10 billion years?

  • @ACHi11iES Yeah, I know, but solar panels are still awesome. Not perpetual motion, no, but it IS a good source of energy.

......I don't know anything about that, so I will have to take your word for it.

  • heat rises thats what makes it spin so @RumPilot is right and @interwebsGoMeow is wrong

  • What if I dont own a lamp?

  • Few words that make your comment top:

    ARROW

    TO

    THE

    TAKE

    KNEE

  • Heat rising from the lamp causes the paper to spin?

  • @RumPilot no no i dont think it's that, the little cap thing if set on an angle so that it keeps spinning

  • @InterwebsGoMeow rum pilot is right

  • Why do you think that???

  • Comment removed

  • STOP BLOWING ON IT XD

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what the F#&k

  • Comment removed

  • OMG, now i have trained to cut that fast in a week, and i can't still do it as fast as you. ;D

  • @soer7610 lol, i think it's sped up

  • @soer7610 um... its sped up

  • @soer7610 are u nuts?fast forward bro...

  • @Thiseas16 its called sarcasm bro

  • heat rises???

  • Seems like wrong direction, isn't it suppose to spin the other way round?

  • And how long is still moving?

  • you are very good at cutting right on the line

  • Gee, I wonder how well this would work with a led light bulb....

  • @dsit9955 it up to how hot the led bulb gets

  • @dsit9955 of all the people that liked your comment how many do you reckon know how this works and why your comment was funny

  • @dsit9955 LED's create lesser heat

  • @dsit9955 well the fat is, how much time will i lose making this shit in my house ?

  • is your life in fast motion? cool can you make my life like that to?

  • how in the world ..... 'o'

  • I like how he holds his paper.

  • if you turn the light off, does it spin the other way???? lol

  • did ANYONE download this song on iTunes yet?

  • craaaazy

  • the paper is constantly pulling down but since its in a spiral, instead of falling, it spins........ or you're Jesus

  • @michiganfan725 no the hot air from the light rises therefore pushing the paper around

  • Why you didn't slow mo it? :)

  • I came here for the music

  • yep hes god.

  • you could use that to ru your whole house if you attach the right equipment to it

  • Its harder than it looks

  • @awesomer1127 not really that hard the heat going up make it spin itss relly quiet simple if you knoe science this is coming from a 13 year old

  • AWESOME .... Until your house burns down.

  • Stop hacking life, God's going to ban you

  • Very smart

  • That is Ryan Higas Cousin 1:03

  • If you put magnets on the Spiral and with some coils you can create FREE ENERGY. All you have to do is use Energy to turn the Light On.

  • @JPMorganMustDie just that the energy is not free :D

  • @Aanthanur

I thought I was getting the hang of Sarcasm....

  • it happens because the light bulb warms the air around it, and warm air is lighter than cold air, so it goes up and make the spiral spin

  • Thumbs up if you dont know what perpetual means just like me :)

  • amazing

  • WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS!?!?

  • what's the silver bottle cap thingy?

  • @wong2008a a sowing thimble

  • idiot

  • Comment removed

  • uh,sir, your under arrest for defining the laws of physics!

  • THATS NOT A LIGHT BULB, and yet it still generates light :o

  • I have a lamp next to my computer... i look over.. "yah.. i could do that" haha

  • I see your married.... ( I saw your wedding ring) Does your wife even know about this?

  • Witzig.

  • @xXOpTicMasSXx I wish, see if you can come up with something like that by just having free time

  • DAMMIT STOP BREAKING THE LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS!

  • tewchnically nothing is perpetual unless gravity doesn't count

  • return me my mind mothafucka!

  • i don't know

  • LOLHOW

  • wow u cut really fast

  • nice song :D

  • hot air rises

  • HEY LOOK! A lamp!

  • YOU HAVE THE SAME PEN AS ME :O

    I FEEL SPECIAL

  • @LEEDSnathan shut up.

  • @LEEDSnathan caps lock fail

  • @LEEDSnathan OMG LOL SAME !! :DDD

  • ITs weird how people come up with things,

A man justy found a doodle he drew, a pencil, a holder thing and other stuff.

Hesaw his lamp and he cut out the doodle he drew and placed on the lamp and,

    OMG MY FUUUUU-

  • i learnt that in science class when i was 11.

  • amazing man !!!

  • ............(speachless)

  • u have to much free time?

  • cool

  • 0:02 adventure time finger armor

  • Troll science

    Problem, physics?

  • Is this the phenomenon that happens because the paper is constantly finding it's centre of gravity?

  • @Gunbardo nope its just because of the heat of the lamp

  • its not perpetual, its a turbine running on the heat of the lamp

  • @williamjpiano fuck and id thought the 3/4 of the worlds problems had just been solved with some a4 paper

  • @williamjpiano yeah. When i put my face above a lamp (with a flourescet circling bulb, i feel a slight breeze on me. You get more breeze with incandescents.

  • @williamjpiano ...Really? Who'd have thought infinite energy wasn't possible. =) Just messing, leaving the comments section to 'omg are that magikal?!' is much more fun.

  • @williamjpiano it's hot air rising..

  • Comment removed

  • @williamjpiano You have the same name as my brother, william

  • What are you guys talking about being left handed ? I don't understand why it matters ._.

  • Thumbs if you are a lefty and are leaning on your right arm

  • @LakersBeast22 thats truely a fail dude

Most people are right handed wich Atomautacally means they have to lean on there left arm

If there left handed they should lean on there right arm

    So urs a fail

  • ..once you turn off the lamp it'd stop...

  • IKR HOW TO DO IT

  • perpetual spinner and insurance claim all in one. just set up, leave the house, come back, fill out the paperwork, collect your insurance claim. 123 CASH IN

  • perpetual till you switch off the lamp ;)

  • its from the hot air coming from the hot lamp rising... remember hot air rise while cool air drops... and he obviously opened the lamp to make it work simple science...Still its looks Dam Cool :D

  • something about molecules expanding therefore moving faster?

  • Cool, but I think it other vids are much better.

  • The heat from the lamp is doing that by pushing the paper up ,but since there is a spiral the energy is converted from moving up to sideways. Thumbs so people can see

  • Witch craft!!

  • man, you cut fast!

  • @mickeyfickygum ...he fast fowarded that part of the vid dude.... lol

  • @MsDimples143 i know im just being silly :( :I :) :D :{D

  • @mickeyfickygum oohhh okay good haha

  • Shouldn't we be capturing that energy and sending it back to the electric grid?

  • the heat from the light

  • Asking how i knew.

    Cause im Phycic a little

  • ahem.... cheeseburger...

  • Wut is the metal thing?

  • ... connect it to generator and you'll get infinite energyz! :D

  • Get a life.

  • Hacks?!

  • this is so stupid

  • Heat from the lamp.

  • The heat that the light bulb creates makes thta air go up and therefore spin the paper. Simple science :D

  • warm air goes up and because of its shape, paper spins,so,you need to spend energy to make paper spining...but it's still good :)

  • ZZzz azz O.o

  • Does it work?

  • its seems that someone have to much free time

  • Was that the poor spiral's 15 minutes of fame?

    Poor lil' bugger,

    spinning there,

    all happy 'n stuff....sniff...

  • so shitty

  • thats a house fire waiting to happen

  • @ScubaStevoB05 You sick son of a bitch. I was.

  • @ScubaStevoB05 then fire marshal bill will arrive on scene :D

  • @ScubaStevoB05 why? please reply.

  • @ScubaStevoB05 I bet the light doesnt make up a great enough of heat to start fire on anything

  • its a primitive form of a jet engine, cool!

  • Won't work with CFL lamps.

  • i knew it was from the heat of the lamp, when you put it up there, i was like, "was he born in college?"

do you come up with these ur self?

  • Not perpetual. The heat from the lamp spins it. It doesn't create it's own energy, therefore not perpetual.. Nice try though.

  • I FIND THIS DIFFICULT TO MASTURBATE

  • I like turtles

  • I bet you get laid when the chicks come over and they see that!

  • is not perpetual.. Sooner or later you will have to turn off the light if you do not want a bill perpetuates ... :(
