It doesn't matter what music you listen to. Try to not be pretentious about your music tastes, no one cares if you're a "true" rocker.

That being said;

You might want to consider listening to other genres and bands. The ones you listed are pretty overrated; there's nothing wrong with that, but there's more out there. I just find it hard to believe that someone could listen to a large selection of music and choose those bands as definitive of their taste in music.

It gets all the right emotions of battling with something that isn't natural, our own personal devils defiling our bodies.
