I just had the pleasure of meeting Kay Ryan and hearing her read at the Sigma Tau Delta Convention in Pittsburgh, PA this past weekend. I thought you should know that she read this poem and mentioned you before reading it. She said that her grandson showed her the video and that she thought you read it beautifully, and that she wished she could read it as beautifully as you. Thought I would pass it on.

Ok. To start my name is Gabe Southerland, I am truthfully Kays Grandson. You can google Kay and me at the japense tea garden in San Fransisco. I enjoyed your reading of my grandmothers poem but there was two flaws one, your not the real thing im not trying to be rude, it was still good, Second the chomp thing at the end disturbed me greatly.

aw, thanks for the comment, it was nice even if it wasn't all positive. Its okay though-sometimes I don't like hearing people read Yeats if I think they're not doing it right--but I too, can still appreciate it. And sorry about the CHOMP-it was kinda an inside joke for a while there. And congrats on ur gran becoming poet lauriet!

A freind of mine suggested a poem for me to give to you to read recently. I dont remember what it is but I'm contemplating whether I want to readit or give it to you, in any case!
