Hey nice setup. What res are you running the game on to get it running so smooth? I tried running eyefinity on my 5870 at the highest res but only get like 7 fps. Is your 5870 1gb or 2gb?

Just one last question: If i am playing a game with 3 monitors, the only possibility of resolution is the full resolution of all three monitors togeter? I mean i am buying an hd5770 (and it much less powerfull than your videocard, as you know), so does the game show the possibility to play with lower resolutions but with all the monitors togheter in instead of 1200 x 3072 (three 17 inch monitors)?

@ilhadosmacacos Yeah I think you understand it, basically with the less powerful video card you want smaller screens because the total resolution will be less. With the 5770 I wouldn't go bigger than 3x20" monitors. Also if you didn't see the other comments about this, for the third monitor you need to use display port. So that means that at least one of your monitors needs to use display port or you need an active display port to dvi adapter.

@ilhadosmacacos Some games are designed for it but most games will work with it. How it works is that the video card driver attempts to widen the field of view and it handles the rest. Some games like borderlands do a poor job of it because they don't like the field of view be increased. This causes the game to be cropped on the top and botttom to facilitate the ultra wide screen style of gameplay.

@ilhadosmacacos Eyefinity when enabled makes multiple monitors act as one large screen. Your computer and all applications only see one monitor. So anything that supports full screen mode runs full screen on all monitors.

@CrawlingCadaver Most video games rely on your graphics card. I use an i7-860 but you can get good results with that processor as well.

@gizamer This is something currently only possible with the 5000 or 6000 series ATI/AMD graphics cards. Your PS3 is not a gaming PC thus can not have a real graphics card installed.

@27RCA I only need one ATI XFX 1GB 5870 to pull off smooth frame rates on 3 screens running at 1920x1200. The new 6870 in crossfire would be a good option if you want higher FPS, larger screens or more screens.

Update your drivers perhaps, do your other games work well? Maybe you have a hardware issue. Also try reinstalling the game?
