@BamRPDSTARS You wear the BDUs that you would normallywear and you are given a name tag to clip to your pocket. The berets are distributed near the end of encampment. AND you get an NBB badge at the end to affix to your uniform.
But that place brings back lots of memories. I'm in wiscosin wing about 30 minutes away from the blue beret place so wisconsin uses it all the time for other stuff.
We actually got into a lot of trouble for that. When we stood up and looked around there were a couple of majors shaking their heads in disapproval. I think it was because I was the only girl in that one...
NBB 07 was the best man.... i know this cause i was there... and u know i was there cause i was the first person on the video u can see.... and i bet u know me cause... well who really dont?
I have a few questions about NBB. 1st are there any scholarships that could pay for my transportation? 2nd when are there going to be any news about 09? who can i contact for exclusive information? and what is the least expensive way to het there? please reply back this will help me out!! C/Tsgt Brown VAWG
Hey, im not sure about financial aid. Talk to your squadron and see if you can raise any money through that, VAWG might have some sort of fund for that as well. Im in PAWG and we usually have to do our interviews Dec-Jan for all NCSA programs. Just apply and find out. also, get plane tickets, I used delta connection in 07 and some united express thing in 06. if you got more questions you can msg me and if i dont know them ill refer you to someone who might. -Tony
Hahahah! Gary is the man! (At least I think that's him doing the armwrestling...) It must be an inherent Beret banquet tradition; a few of us (Golf Flight '08) did the same thing.
NO! It's nothing like regular encampment. There is good food, no PT, and you wake up to the strains of Ella Fitzgerald instead of a flight commander screaming in your ear. We marshalled planes, guarded taxiways, kept tourists away from the jets, and recorded the type and nubers of planes that flew in and out.
Im a 2006 formerblue beret, i can say this activity is the best of the best!oh god, for thoses who were on ALPHA, and almost the last DAY, ICE CREAM!!! hopefully im going next year, i miss nbb so bad!! T_T
The rule thing. That's Col Granville for you

Do you wear NBB specific uniforms or can you wear your BDU's from your squadron?

@Piangi wait y do we need a name tag we have nametapes on our BDU's
BamRPDSTARS 1 year ago
@BamRPDSTARS It's just a clip that allows you access to the base. Like a VIP Pass that tells airport security who you are.

I love the arm wrestle with Gary at the end. NBB 2k10 was pretty sweet, but we didn't have as many videos produced.
