@Frankengamer There is no door I believe. Most of the company rides in the back of that unit. As the truck leaves the station one of the guys shuts the garage door then runs and gets into the back of the rescue. Its a high step for them!

I just went there today and those guys were great! Very nice people all of them and when the tone went off for a fire, they hopped in the truck and left in less than a minute and fifteen seconds. Absolutely great. Oh and about that truck, they love it not hate it haha,

@25Yankeesfan Man, i agree with that 100%. There is NO comparison between the EQ and Q. The Q is the best so stop trying to replicate it through electronics. JUST BUY THE ONE THAT IS ALREADY THERE! DUH! It only echos if you dont know how to use it. Thats all my dept. uses and we have all tall buildings in the downtown area. We use Q and Air horns. NOTHING electronic. :)

Real Q's are banned in NY! When they were used, they were removed during inspections.

@jonjon181 FDNY heavy rescues are basically big toolboxes staffed by the best of the best in the whole city. There is one Rescue unit per borough: 1 in Manhattan, 2 in Brooklyn, 3 in the Bronx, 4 in Queens and 5 in Staten Island. FDNY Rescue companies are considered elite units and it's really tough to be accepted into one.

@dandoosh90 acually all nyc (banned due to loudness) but some trucks sneak qs on and remove them when trucks go into service (fdny will remove the voids warrenty with seagrave for segrave trucks due to amp draw can afect brake solinoids) but for other trucks idk fdny shops probly take em cause banned stupid that philly can but fdny cant

They had Saulsbury trucks for years. I road with them in '99 with Capt. Hatten when I upgraded thier air source carts in the city. I miss the friends I made there that were lost 9/11. I think of them often.
