The singing is definitely live but I think the instruments don't sound live even though they appear that way . This is probably because for TV programmes they have an issue with live sound.

I think he just recorded this song in a key that demand from him his whole vocal range, hes sometimes hitting a high "B" which is almost the end of his vocal register... I saw another couple of live versions of it and always struggle a bit on those notes.. It surprised me recording it so high.. BUT, he might knows whats the best for his voice.. Stil lovely and warm the way he vocalize it
