@RyanStileswliia Wow! Good 1! Didn't expect to see that here. Nice to see a fellow Kubrick fan here. BTW, I always thought Spock's death scene in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan "I have been & always shall be, your friend...." That was a powerful scene. Also, Schindler's List, & then end "This care, 20 people....This ring, 5 people....I could have saved more!..." powerful! The Abyss "You bitch, you never gave up on anything in your life....now fight! *slap* Fight!', etc.
A powerful scene doesn't mean it has to be touching moron. What about in blue velvet when frank was sucking on his gas? That was powerful in a eerie dark way. Only an idiot restricts himself to just touching scenes.
@smasono@smasono Quoted from the description section "My personal top 5 movie scenes." And by the way, these were all great films, just because a movie is old, doesnt mean its good.
CORRECTION: The second scene isn't from T2, it was actually filmed as the Governator left office here in California. A lot people don't know that. It is actually what we do with all of our governors now since Gray Davis. Nonetheless, very touching.
dunno if i'd agree with batman begins. that scene is certainly powerful but top 5 most powerful of all time? i think we can do better. terminator 2 most certainly. a very emotional scene.
Seems like you just recorded movies on your computer screen in a dark room, it's definately not made by putitng movie scenes into a video editor, otherwise the screen wouldn't be tilted.
Before the final battle scene, where they're all just BS'ing while they wait...makes ME nervous every time I watch it. I can't imagine what it would be like to actually be in that situation.
"I know now why you cry." Um no, you're the fuckin' Terminator remember? You used to knock on people's doors and blow their brains out and kill Bill Paxton and whatnot.
why did you cut the Tom Hanks scene........the most powerful part of that scene is where the older Private Ryan asks his wife.........Am I a good man......Have I lived a good life.........it ties together what Capt Miller told him........Earn This
Batman Begins? Come on there are way better ones than that. And I haven't seen part 2 yet but there are way more heart felt moments in other Tom hanks movies. Cast Away and Forrest Gump come to mind
you to give credit for including Terminator 2 in the list. It was a very powerful scene. The moment he says "I know now why you cry" just makes you think. Its hard for me to explain.
you couldnt have downloaded the scenes from the internet i mean it would be better than just video taping your tv. sure it wouldnt be completely original but bootleg isnt either lol
You're kidding with T2, right? That thumbs up scene was so sappy/nauseating it killed the movie for me. For powerful scenes you're going to have to pick out powerful, i.e. good movies. The balcony/courtroom scene in To Kill a Mockingbird. Take your choice throughout The Godfather. The mad as Hell scene in Network.
oh my good god are you people having a laugh? T2 a tear jerker? jesus christ try watching a proper movie to stir the emotions, both of these true stories and both give real meaning to the word powerful
I swear to god, when I first saw T2 in theatres, the ending...holy crap, everyone in the damn theatre was crying when the T-800 sacrificed himself....even the damn ushers were crying... :''''(
@halpwr I did too. I was in such a rush to watch rated R movies and told my mom I could handle it. So when this came out on LaserDisc (yea I just dated myself), my mother made me sit down and watch it. Yea..... I looked like John Connor at this part.

When British peoples' films include Snatch; Lock, Stock, and Two Smokin' Barrels; Shaun of the Dead; and Death at a Funeral...
When their music includes the BRITISH Invasion of the '60s and '70s - Beatles, Led Zeppelin - let alone the artists coming out of there since...
When tons of American shows are based off of British ones first...
I have to disagree with your statement that American entertainment is 50 times better than British entertainment. Sorry.
