wah wah wah. geez.5 mins for injection or the gallows. who cares? he was a dead man anyway. this wasn't over richard, it was over redtape. saw the hearing myself.
Maybe she was wrong. The real point is, the guy that was executed killed someone and was on death row for 20 years. the guy shouldnt have been there for that long. they should put a law down for a max of 5 years so tehy can stop waisting money on people who dont deserve it
@giuffsa1 What are you talking about? The whole process of executing someone from the trials onward cost more than a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole!
Michael Richard murdered people. His own family says yeah, what he did was wrong, but hey, apologizing would not make me feel better if it was my family he murdered. The case was about whether lethal injection was an acceptable manner of death, and it subsequently was ruled it was acceptable, so the outcome would not have changed, just prolonged it. Sharon Keller did not kill someone--Michael Richard did. I find it strange that people want admitted murderers to live.
the texas system is fucked up! period! and you stupid Austin fuckers must have not been to jail before, i went to travis county and back to bexar county! and alot of people say that those exhonoradted killers/rapists/murders..they were innocent. you dont know about any body being guilty till you lived threw their eye's!
fuck you you texas liberals! go threw the sysytem and see how fucked up it is!
I'm always sad to see so much support for state-sanctioned murder, i.e. executing unarmed people. Shame on Sharon Keller for murdering a human being. It's cruel, vindictive, and uncivilized to strap a man down and murder him. It's barbaric to create special viewing rooms so that the family can watch their relatives suffer. An eye for an eye is revenge; it is evil. It does not reverse or diminish the evil of murder to add more evil with another murder.
A Convicted Killer was taken care of the Texas way. The majority of Texans stand behind the judge. The kumbaya sing song squad always show up and they are always young niave suburban kids who wouldn't last ten seconds in the killers world. They would be victims in the blink of an eye. In Texas you live by the sword and you die by the sword.
Cry me a river. And for somebody that appears on the surface to be intelligent you sure are quick to make fun of people with your childish little response. Nice try snapperhead. This guy was a cold blooded murderer and nothing you say can change that.
Sharon Keller did the right thing. She is now a hero to many, and rightfully so. Justice was served. I hope she gets a book deal worth millions from all of this publicity.
Death Penalty is murder! Michael Richard was a rapist and murderer. If he had got lifelong I would have appreciated it and would have thought that he should rot in prison. But by executing him he became just another victim and I feel sympathy for him. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth is archaic and there is no evidence for a deterrent effect.
No wonder so many peoplel hate you . You are backward , uneducated lowlifes 200 years behind the developed world . Keller is the nearest thing to a taliban warlord I have seen. Shame on you
Yes, harshly punishing murderers and rapists like Michael Richard after years of appeals is terrible. Better we do like you in Europe and let them out after a few years.
Marguerite Dixon was the victim. There was 100% no doubt that Michael Richard was guilty. They wanted a stay of execution in the last minute on a technicality that lethal injection was cruel and unusual. Keller was quite aware of the situation but closed her offices at 5PM. Justice was served for the Dixon family.
Let me get this straight: she refused to stay the execution of an obviously guilty man, who had committed a terrible crime (rape and murder), who had exhausted his appeals and had been on death row for 20 years and you guys think this makes her a bad judge?
To bad that people like you, don't understand the implications. It's so easy to just get on the band wagon and say fuck it kill him he's a bad man. But with out proper procedure and a real trial we'll never know, especially with a racist attorney. How would you feel? Let me guess your white, high school education and still living with your parents in the trailer park.
Oh yes, there was no due process at all here. Two separate trials, numerous appeals to state and federal courts, and a team of lawyers unable to communicate effectively what they were getting at for this last minute appeal that in the end wouldn't have made a lick of difference anyway. You high and mighty "im better than you" anti-death penalty
shitheads should read the record first and THEN make accusations.
Texas executed Jose Medellin, a fuck that was convicted but thought he should get away because he was an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Mexico. He brutally raped and killed 2 teenage girls. The World Courts put a stay on the execution but Texas carried it out anyway.
She might blame the judge......I blame the dirtbag the state of Texas justly sent straight to hell. God bless Texas......keep up the good work Judge Keller. He had years of time to appeal, 20 minutes more would have been that much more time wasted.

Judge Kellers career will be over just like Judge Ables and others. The bad judges get exposed in time. The truth comes out about them. It has nothing to do with God or Texas you idiot Texan.
Richards was a convicted and released several times on burglary charges,he was just released two months before he comitted the murder. He dug his own hole man.

Actually it was 10 years on death row that made the difference bewteen life and death. It was God's decision the very second Richard committed that murder, but it is a shame that is took a decade for God to finally have him in HIS court.

Why don't you retards prostesting tell the family of the woman who he killed that a great misjustice has been done. The only thing done wrong was that this murdering freeloader lived the last 10 years of his life on the taxpayers.

The Texas way? You must be joking, right? Do you know how many people have been exonerated in Dallas County alone?
No, of course you don't, because you are a Texan, and have no idea WTF you're talking about.
Guns, booze, and bibles, yee haa, that's the Texas way. Do the rest us the favor of staying in Texass, please.

20 post-conviction DNA exonerations since 1991 in Dallas County alone.
235 post-conviction DNA exonerations nationally since 1989.
She should not be a judge, period.
FranzHess 2 years ago
This case has nothing to do with DNA, so what are you talking about?
mst3k4evur 2 years ago 8
Sure, it does. It's called doubt.
FranzHess 2 years ago
There was no doubt in this case, he did not contest his guilt in the rape, robbery or murder.
mst3k4evur 2 years ago 7
Those numbers are flat out lies, and exonerations do not equal innocence.

You're a deep political thinker aren't you?
1. All proper procedure was followed, according to federal and state appellate judges. They, unlike you, are real legal experts.
2. Do us all a favor and tell us WHAT procedure wasn't followed.
3. I'm White, live in a house and I'm a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Journalism class of 08.
