Too bad CBS doesn't air movies on any of them weeknights, or weekends or for any specials, like they use to. Sometimes on Tuesdays, I'd catch some good movie presentations right after Rescue 911 w/ William Shatner, when that show was still popular. Movies I caught on CBS after Rescue 911 were Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Pete's Dragon, White Fang, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
i remember hiding behind the couch while my mom watched the sunday night movies cause i was supoosed to be in bed haha funny she never new i was watching
I guess they didn't use this one for very long. I don't even remember seeing it. Like a previous commenter said, it's a nice effort to update it, but it's not as good as the older version.
Yeah, this is when made for TV movies began to get fazed out somewhat in favor of shows on network TV. If you notice, starting in 1990, there were beginning to be a bit less of them aired as the years began to roll on through. I think 1995 is when you saw them almost completely disappear (if NOT completely) from networks. It was more trying to revitalize a dying brand at this point.
The last movie I remember watching with this movie opening was either Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade or Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves back in 1993. I can't remember what the CBS movie openings looked like in 1994 and/or beyond 1994.
I have that Green Acres reunion movie recorded from tv. I recorded when i was 10 and the vhs tape still plays! Last time I watched it I saw these promos and thought, man I remember that has it been that long!! Cool!

I remember this as if it were yesterday! This open has aged pretty well. Better visuals than the previous one, but why tweak an already good theme?

Wow, I remember this. I always thought the song sounded like something that John Williams might've written and then threw away on the scrap pile. :-D

A valiant attempt to refresh their Movie theme. But it just cannot top the original.
