I was working in the construction industry. It was the 80s I had one of those big portable stereos that blasted it out. We were on the roof of a 3 storey building repairing the tiles. We had this song blasting out full power people looking up from the street, 3 grooving construction workers shaking it to this song. A small crowd gathered in their lunch break. We got a round of applause at the end. Thanks for the clip bringing back the memory.
@ SuspectVandal- I actually quite like the Faithless version ... it is good to see them reving what is essentially a lost track with a modern feel. It is a remix ... it aint supposed to be the same!
love all the deep almost goth vocal tones from the 80's thompson twins theese guys visage and so on, nobody sings like this anymore...this sounds like annie lennox? on back up vocals is it?...
Saw them at rock city 1983 Nottingham doing this track live, well they were there.... they were magic... just lstened again, brings back great memories.
no i think you're just suffering from cognitive stupidity. and I don't see what is so great about shit-hop retards with nearly unknown songs that no one will remember, who rip off more talented bands like blancmange and kraftwerk(bambaata stole from them).
we're talking about originators here, NOT RETARDED DOWN SYNDROME SHIT-HOP COPIERS. GET IT STRAIGHT DUMB FUCK.
One could argue that Arthur Baker and John Robie made a Kraftwerk cover version which is not stealing. Unfortunately for you i think Feel me is the forgotten track compared to the Wildstyle track however that is just my opinion.
LOFL the only people that were into wild style were afro-bozos + wigger shit-hop retards who still think fab five freddy is relevant. even out here in los angeles, the largest radio station called kroq used to(and still do currently on flashback weekends) play blancmange's feel me + don't tell me(madonna covered it also) regularly in the 80s. this is why my sister + her cheerleader girlfriends were into all the white electronic bands from europe.
Love this...Reminiscing I used to go to independant record shops and the guy behind the counter would recommend a listen. I bought this on 12'..still have it...no finger prints...ha ha nerd alert
any chance you could upload the 12" here? the original already is a peach of a classic. the 12" is bound to be even surpassing that status. thanks in advance
i used to dance my nuts off to this back in the day

try it with a cdj 1000 mk3 and then you may realise, or even listen to wildstyle by time zone and dream of that bangin mix
reeferskankpot 2 years ago
nah not a bing fan of time zone but i'd definitly mix it with some classic synth/electro like the human league, fad gadget, etc
TheNewMusicNetwork 2 years ago
I think you missed the point, Wildstyle by Timezone sampled the bassline from Feel me
