hi my name is harmonie. i wont to say we are so lucky to have these men fighting for us without them we couldent go outside without being shot. my great great grandfather was in the war he is still alive he was blinded alot of the men he working with died but now i know we are so lucky to have them let us remember them may theyrestin peace keep up the good work for our freedom thank-you so much for my free dom im so lucky to be here i know how hard it is to fight and notto come home in acoffin
I am a disabled USAF veteran. I watched the original version of this song with my brother-in-law who was one of my military buddies. The two of us were in tears through most of the song. It is a very moving piece, and I don't think any veteran can watch this without getting misty-eyed!
Excelent Slideshow, I feel it captured the song very well, I only wish I could share this song with my Grandpa who was a Canadian WWII Vet, he passed away on November 18th 1995, and it is him that I remember on that day and everytime I hear this song. The first time I heard it was Rembrance Day 2007 and I burst into tears on the spot, and just so you get an idea of howmuch it touched me, I am a 25 year old male. Thank you for the slideshow and Thank you Terry Kelly for writing this song.
MY LITTLE 9 YEAR OLD CRIES HIS EYES OUT EACH TIME HE HERES THIS HE NEVER MET HIS GRANPA BUT KNOWS ALREADY THAT HIM BEING OF MIXED DECENT,HE WOULD NOT BE BE ALIVE TODAY IF WE HAD LOST.
I think you did an excellent job and you should be proud...I know that our veterans and those currently serving will appreciate your support and for those of us that have lost friends and family it is a lovely tribute to those we have lost. War is not a good thing but support of those trying to do the right thing is. God Bless.
