I tried to get a 400R, thought I had one but it was s shady bullshitter that thought he was selling it to a 5 year old. In the end I got a GT-R 33 V-Spec and im happy as I can be
True, but even if you do have 600hp, what are you going to do with it? power is great for straight lines, but unless you have everything else set up right to take 600hp and put it down, the next weak link is the driver. I've seen Keiichi Tsuchiya driving 600hp machines and say they were too fast...and there are not too many people can drive as well as him. Your not going to make sensible use of it on the road. It's all about bragging rights these days. Look at the big merc's with 600...useless!
wille back i drov a GTr r32 with 1000horespower every day an no problems in corners or any places.. its Your driving style that make a good car bad ;)
@graham6824 what do you mean? i live in washington state and it wasn't hard to get one for me. just need about 15k and the right register importer :) i know a guy thats good at bringing them in to the usa [legit]. the r33 gtst and gtr's are alot easier to bring in.
@stunt509 Hi Stunt509. This Spec og GTR Skyline R33 is bloody rare unless your a millionare!!
Nissin only made around 1200 units and considering that a lot were killed on the Japanisse mountain illegal street races. Getting the 2.8 twin turbo, 400 BHP monster is a bit hard if you can understand what I'm saying. Cheers dude :)
@graham6824 I have to agree. These were as rare as rocking-horse shit the first time around. Now you won't get on for Love or Money. You might get a GTR copy or two, but a Stamped Original, hmmm, a lot of dosh indeed.
@graham6824 my bad. did not know it was the rare kind :) my gtst has about the same hp with little mods. if you live in the usa and are looking for a r33 i can help!! :)
@stunt509 Thanks dude but I live in the United Kingdom. The GTS is the most commen Spec R33 over here which is easy to spot, even with their attemps to make them look like the GTR V-Spec.
I beleive that twin turbo's are better than the single type because you get less lag. But with tuning cars, its depends on what you wish to use it for.
If I ever buy one, it'll be used for trackdays on short tracks
@graham6824 He's right @stunt. You don't even see that many many GTR's over here, and the ones you do, have generally been made to look very different (shit) I take pride in that my GTR is standard apart from the fact it has orginal Nismo bodywork fitted by Nismo and a whole host of goodies, fitted by nismo in Japan. Happy days :)
very cool car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just bought a R34 engine in from Japan for my 33.
It's not easy...helps if you have English speaking contacs over there.
You would need to put the car through some changes before you would be able to register and put it on the road over there.
I would buy one from within the States, road ready.

NISMO had originally planned to produce 100 units of the 400R, however only 44 units were made before production of the R33 ended in 1998

I Bought a r33 GTR this year and i am so excited to drive it, haven't even got to ride in one to this day. What do you love about the car? Can I ask?
jgbipes 2 months ago
@jgbipes Everything exept the fuel economy, the car is a serious piece of engineering way ahead of its time.
I hope you have many years of happy driving in yours.

I'll have a look at the original and see if Sub titles was enabled. If so I'll try to upload with.
Still looking at that bottom lip and think the greedy version is nicer.
