You should sand it first, and then put masking tape over what you don't want to paint. Wait till it dries, apply more coats and after that dries apply a sealer.
The longshot??? I always thought that that gun was harmless when stock...infact most nerf guns are harmless, aslong as you dont get shot on bare skin from close range.
When you shot the NF through the paper, it was doubled over, making it more stout, so the dart went through it. I dont mean to degrade your gun, it looks pretty powerful btw.
it does make it more stout, but it hardly affects it. i can put two papers together and it will go thru just as easy. I painted the stefans red, then wore them the paint down after it dried so it would look cool(blood maybe?)
im seein some double penitration with that nite finder

The longshot is stock, and you don't have to pull the cocker back unless you are changing cartriges.

i replace the spring with a stronger one, add a new o ring, take out the air restricrers and barel posts, and lube the barrel.
