There is an old loge inn thats back in the woods outside of town here. it was built about 1850, and shut down in the 1940s, been abandoned for over 60 years, it was a big place for its time two stories 18 rooms. anyway an old farmer had bought the land it was on, my dad knew him and ask if we could go dig around. You would not believe the things still in that place, he took a metal detector and found enough coins and buttons to fill a zip lock bag

I just purchased an old farm house with a huge barn on 1 and a half acres in NW Missouri. It hasn't been lived in since 1982 and needs quite a bit of work in every room. My plan is to take the two best rooms and make them livable. Cleaning, painting and new floor coverings should do the trick. After that, I'll live in the finished rooms and work on the rest of the house one room at a time. It's gonna take time and money, but I own it free and clear. The history of these houses is simply amazing!

Awesome. I love exploring old abandoned houses. There's a few where I used to live, and we used to go in them and look around. Some of them wern't in all that bad condition, and some of them were total write-offs. Sometimes you'll find things like books, chairs, lamps, all kinds of stuff. I once found an old record player and some 78s, but they were a total wreck.
