Watch the dots. They move around when the menus change. If they were merely screen elements that were being toggled on and off or generated on-the-fly by code, they would not inconsistently jump around like that.

Also, the previews start far, far too quickly to be read directly from disc or streamed to a dev kit. If the previews were loaded into RAM, the load times would be absolutely horrendous every time you entered the song select menu.

This is nothing more than a clever Photoshop ruse.
