Were Black Elvis 2000 supporting at that gig, or was it the Flowerpot Men? I loved them around this time; really way ahead of their time. I believe we still hear their influence today. It didn't work, but at least they tried. I say it didn't work, but we're still watching it and talking about it in 2010, so there must be something in it.....

BTW, Carbon Silicon are well worth checking out. It's Tony James' and Mick Jones' project....

I think most of that was filmed at the showcase gig at Abbey Road studios. Hence the footage on the zebra-crossing. Janet Street-Porter pushed me out of the way as they all came out. We bribed the security to get in as we didn't have tickets. At the end of the gig I realised I'd been standing next to Steve Severin from the Banshees throughout. They actually weren't bad then. Saw them later and it became a bit of a bloodbath. All that talk of "ultraviolence" kind of backfired.
