"SAFE" ??? I would argue that point. Horizontal Flue pipe = Extreme danger in chimney fire!!! Add a Reburner, also known as Secondary Combustion in teh stove to burn woodgas and smoke, then there will be little buildup in flue pipe then you will be safe.
Is that big tank an old LP Gas tank? I have an old 55 gallon drum. I'm sure the thickness is MUCH Thinner than your tank there. Could I use my 55 gal drum like this, or would it melt ?
Asian women make great wives, My Filipina wife is not only good looking but can cook better then anyone I'v ever met, she treats me like a king and her family are the best inlaws a man could ask for, and by the way there very wealthy, I'm lucky to have such a woman, so to all you guys out there mocking this couple I'll bet he's happier then you are with your woman.
nice work, unfortunately the efficiency is terrible, the smoke coming out the flue connection is proof. Do you have to clean the creosote out of flue..??? That creosote is the volatiles that *should have been* burned..! Add some baffles, split flue tiles and such to re-burn the smoke...THEN...your stove will be better.
sounds like a happy japanese wife - must be a good stove! man, that's a mean heater! good job. lol, disgruntldtoad said "storing child in a plastic bag"! take it they're making a job - they can't be *that* stupid not to c it was a stroller! where can i get a japanese wife?!
Nice boiler tank for wood stove prolly puts out good heat. Flue pipe is not venting and is leaking smoke and carbon monoxide into the room, berry berry dangerous for baby.
it helps to open the basement door as well, i noticed you said good that the basement door was closed, if you leave it open it also will help with the drafting issue.
@AYAyesyes hey bud looking nice...im debating wether i should put a wood burner stove in my garage...i do some mig welding, grinding, and work on motorcycles. obviously i wont have gasoline next to the stove. i keep any gasoline containers in my shed...many people have told me im running a risk of fire. i dont see the difference between a fireplace in your home then in a garage but having gasoline or motor oil laying around. is it easy to set up? do i just cut a hole in my roof?
Your horizontal run is way to long, cant generate good flue temp to get a good draft. You need 10" tube to go that long, remember heat and smoke go up not sideways. I have no idea what you have going on outside so I will say nothing about that except, often if your house is higher then your chimney the smoke will choose the house as its chimney. Nice stove though, I bet with proper draft it would function nice for a home made stove. Most of the issue I believe is in that horizontal run.
I am going to have to disagree with the horizontal run comment. My double barrel stoves exhaust has a horizontal run of about 15 feet and I have no problems with it venting into the room. Although It is in a pole barn with the chimney at the peak of the roof. Maybe it is because my chimney is up higher and gets a good breeze across it. Anyway nice stove. Maybe find a way to run the intake outside so it is not pulling cold air in from the cracks in your home. Just a thought :)
After your stove pipe exits the house, does it go UP ? If not, you need to have it go UP vertically at least 10 feet in order to create proper draft. I am sure you know this, but just in case you don't - the rising heat is what carries away the smoke and exhaust. Nice stove and nice welding - i like seeing what other build. Cheers.

WARNING!! DO NOT DUPLICATE THIS IS HOW PEOPLE DIE IN FIRES. IMPROPER VENTING. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN THEY KEEP THEIR KID PLASTIC.

That's one hell of a stove!
Looks like the bottom air inlet is too small to feed well, could use another air vent.
Anyway, you two are so funny and your enjoying life together, well done!

Thank you for everyone's comment.
The chimney pipe was changed before this winter.
We used this stove for 2 winter.
It's very nice warm (almost too much warm) house!!
When this stove is running, we always open wide window, still over 75F to 80F.
My baby was sitting on the stroller with rain cover. That was just keep dust away.
Anyway, we love our stove very much, and we are safe now I think.
Thank you again!!

Good thing the kid is in that oxygen tent.. I mean plastic bag otherwise the smoke would kill it!!
lakewood85 2 years ago
Your chimney pipe is too far away from the wall.
Also remember the 2'-10' Rule.
Where the chimney stack comes out of the roof, the top must be 2 foot higher, than any roof line, 10 feet from it.
Go 10 feet from the slope of the roof. At this line the stack must be 2 foot higher.

Why is the chimney connector leaking smoke? There should be enough draft to keep the smoke in.
Do you have a carbon monoxide detector?
