@fred266 I just got 3.4 gallon and I filled it up at 180 miles (mixed highway/city riding). It took 2.9 gallons of gas, so I think it could easily do 200 miles per fill up.

search " honda rebel 250 tank 3.4 gallons " on eBay and you will find it.

Make sure it has the little venting thing underneath the tank though. It's for the air flow.

@milanosbo Search on ebay for parts, that's what I did and got most of my parts to flush out my bike. In fact, if you want one of this huge gas tanks you can find lots of them listed on ebay. I ended up RedKoating mine after doing some welding on it, which leaked like a shower head instead of buying a newer big one, works fine. Also you can search the net for lists of "motorcycle junkyard" or "motorcycle boneyard".

@superchevys10 Only if you mod it. Stock it will hit the cylinder head cover. And the bottom bracket needs have the angle modified. I belive the "canal" is allso to narrow.

@88Nightrider Hey, So do you think it can be modified to fit the 450 ?? With a hammer perhaps ? Will it require cutting and welding ? Id LOVE to know if this is the tank that will put my 450 back in service.... Just found out my second tank is leaking through rust holes at the bottom. Have not used bike in 4 year cause of the lack of tank.

I saw a "pipe" at the middle of the bottom part at 1:16, what does that pipe do?

@pncben Its a air vent. new bikes dont vent thru the gas cap anymore.

Man, that Rebel is nice. You did a great job. That is pretty much what I want my Rebel to look like with a few slight changes. Can you tell me where you got the tank?
