The water actually goes up to the top of the original glass tank. The top half is a perspex section we built on top of the tank to accommodate plants and crickets for the archer fish.

The tank is 6'x1.5'x1.5' but we built an extra section on the top out of persepex (I think it is about 1.5' high). It was supposed to have plants in it so the archers could catch their insect prey. Unfortunately the archers got eaten by the barra and then the barra died too. New fish will be coming very soon though!

Great idea on that extra plexiglas top! It looks great, although it propably isn't very practical.
Sorry to hear the barra died, he was a wonderfull fish. I hope you will post some new video's when you get you get your new fish in there.
