I have set up online servers as well as a STEAM GROUP to set up matches for Unreal Tournament 1999, 2004, and 3. My User Name: BigSpeck - Steam Group Name: Speck's Unreal /V/idya. Add me on your friends list,So I can contact you when I set up a few matches. You don't need the steam version to play , but having steam makes it easier to know when a match is up.

i played dm_sniperfield to this song. i remember the crawling I'd do (infiltration mod) as I hid in a bunker and popped a 50 cal round i someone's head. HEADSHOT. had an eerie enemy @ the gates feeling to it!
that sound at 1:30 dates even back to unreal 1, its is thé unreal sound that makes this game atmoshperic. you feel the pain and suffering of the nali.
soundtracks from unreal 1 in wich this sounds is also to be recognized are nali chant and the spire ;)
@RenegadeOfSociety What I'm saying is that it just isn't up to par with earlier games of the series. They just didn't seem to care about it, I mean really, it looks almost exactly like Gears of War. Also, improper punctuation and use of the word "there".

@Isikari I heard similiar synthesizer in Jazz Jackrabbit 2. As I remember JJ2 also has been made by "epic". I suppose that is why some sounds (not music) from UT sounds a bit similiar in JJ2 :P
To me, the sound at 1:35 is UT to me. That is just the sound that I recognize as Unreal Tournament. If somebody gave me just that one trumpet sound and asked me "What is this" I would say it is the sound of UT.

@240Gromit It's so funny but I know exactly what you're talking about. UT99 had a sound to it in respect to the music. 'Foregone Destruction' would be the track that I'd say is the sound of UT99, that or 'Organic'.

My personal opinion is that the only hard level in UT99 is when you fight Xan...
Still if you manage to keep the distance you can manage to kill him easily with the ASMD Shock Rifle Combo(that lolkill sphere yeah)...
The rest of the levels(especially the Assault ladder) are veeeeery easy...
