  • An irony just occurred to me. In order to really relax and enjoy Nurse Jackie, I would have to be as high on oxycodone as she is!

  • I have to agree with you. I watched the show, and despite the abundant cliche, pathetic stereotypes and dim witted writing, there is one actress who really caught my eye. Merritt Wever. Genius. Hopefully she will ride this forgettable series to bigger and better things.

  • Oh and the reason dr cooper tried acting like this egomaniac was because he had low confidence, and used it at a cover up because he thinks hes a bad doctor, but hes turns out being one of the best doctors. Dr cooper turns out to be a good guy. There really is no bad guys, except maybe nurse jackie herself because she manipulates and uses people; her husband, her boyfried, her best friend, just to feed a drug addition and cover her own ass. Damn I am giving out spoilers everywhere.

  • @JonaBay sounds like House

  • Dr cooper started out as this typical good-looking, overconfident, egotistical jerk. But then he changes from that to a guy who was just a weird, socially inept nerdy kid who didnt have any friends in school because of his tourettes and OCD, and he dumped his super attractive girfriend when he developes of puppy-love kidlike crush on nurse jackie. SPOILER ALERT, eh too late. its kinda cute

Anyway the show is okay, it can be kind of ridiculous at times with the scripting. Its about a 6/10.

  • @mrdumber - is that right, not cliché eh? She sleeps with everyone, cheats on her unsuspecting, complaint and henpecked husband and has the temerity to say 'i want to make you all better'. You’re a fucking joke. Even if that’s not "cliché" it is still fucking trashy and appeals to the lowest common dominator - if nothing else that is why its 'cliché' cause every other tv show just has to be edgy.

  • Great review! I watched the TV-series "The Mentalist", and there were only white (mostly) men characters who were the killers, not until part ~25 there were a black murderer... although black murderers are maybe mostly in gangs doing drive-by-shootings, which wouldn't suit that TV-show.

  • You didn't even watch 1 full episode, but you're reviewing it. Fucking unbelievable. The show is actually much less predictable than you're leading people to think. The story moves rapid, and the characters aren't people we're supposed to be like. It's a representation of how people are. This show is perhaps the least cliche' stereotype of it's kind. It's also funny, very different.

  • White men act like they are so put upon...really? Like white men are really suffering.

  • Okay first of all, who are you to do a review of a show you've NEVER SEEN before? you have nothing to back up your opinions, this is just you talking strait babble. And second, there are many other cliches in hollywood other than a white criminal and a "sassy" nurse. In most of the movies/tv shows I have seen, criminals are often minorities, and that's actual reality in the united states. There is always going to be more than one cliche applicable to any role in hollywood.

  • @DClikeDEATH who are YOU to come to the RamZPaul show, without ever watchen his other episodes?

  • On the TV show "Law and Order" which takes place in NYC 95% of all the bad guys are white people. The more heinous the crime that's portrayed, the more classically Caucasian the bad guys are. Like just about all Hollywood movies, except in them they really lay it on thick by making the "evil white people" totally blond-haired and blue-eyed. TV commercials go easy on whites as they merely show them as stupid, bumbling hicks (especially the white males) and every one else as smart, hip and clever

  • LOL, "life is full of fat cunts"... haha I'd watch that.

  • What about mythbusters now thats a guy show.

  • not!

  • Most of the television shows today have a femisupremacist viewpoint, and have been trashing men for years now. Its a wonder why any heterosexual man watches television at all these days. And you are right about the cliche characters.

I have a great idea for a new show however. It would be about a male veterinarian who is a chubby chaser. And can you imagine the add for it. He would be in his veterinarian garb holding a cat up, and the caption would say, "Life is full of fat p#$y!"

  • Don't consider me as some thick misogynist, but my first impressions on the show was that it was a cheap knockoff of House, M.D. adapted for the Lifetime channel. Same thing with HawthoRNe. Nurse Jackie is twice the drug addict with half the originality. Add a dash of misandry and stereotype reinforcement, and you've got a hit series on your hands.

But, I was genuinely surprised to see that Steve Buscemi directed a few episodes. That was a real mind job!

  • u know i always wondered who the people were who liked when only white males were on television...i remember when the dirty black drug dealer was cliche...ure the brightest guy i have ever seen...ure critique is cliche by the way...nutten new about it

  • u guess too much...get ure facts str8...

  • I like Nurse Jackie :)

Not sure why but I find it...entertaining?

    No, not the right word.

  • if you haven't, I hope you talk about Tribunal TV, how there's nothing on but 5 of these Judge Judy things. I feel terrible for people who really watch adn don't know you're supposed to have a jury, lawyers, witnesses and other things, not just castigating judges while you stand there. Also, defendents used to be able to sit down. Ramzpual---is this supposed to be our new court system someday?

  • your videos are very interesting..

your breakdown of a typical holywood show is perfect lol...

i've also noticed how often when ever they portray a bad guy he has to be white...

  • I stopped watching tv 4 years ago & one of the reasons I stopped watching is because. Tv is one big tampax box!

  • ramzpaul, you kill me with your well thought out vlogs. I bet you read and reflect too, all you rational types are all the same! you know feminism is what the 'people' want. now start making some sappy girl power videos.

  • Edie Falco was so good in the Sopranos! This show does look boring. Plus, anyone who has ever been to a hospital knows how real nurses and doctors act....sort of like DMV workers.

  • Yes, noticing this for myself all those years was good for a yawn, and that's about it. You've made it new again, and now I see I'm not the only one to pick up on this utterly predictable format.

  • I like it cuz u see things from a nurses perspective. The gay guy is named Mohammed, so thats a little diff. I liked ur break down of the show

  • Waiting for him to get to the f'ing point? Click here 3:26

  • I'm at 3:16 and I don't know anything about the show. WTF
